“We used Juliet while in the area on holiday as we wanted to go into Edinburgh and some of the places we wanted to visit was not dog friendly so we looked up on here and found Juliet. Juliet was absolutely amazing with our dogs, listened to their needs and doubled checked to ensure that everything was covered and correct. The dogs took to her so well and were so happy. Juliet sent photos throughout the day and regular updates, I was really assured they were so well looked after. Will definitely use Juliet again when we are back in the area, very highly recommended!! Thank you so much!”

“Giulia was absolutely amazing! I was nervous leaving a very excitable pup with someone for the first time but she soon put me at ease. Her house was a lovely environment for Lochie and he really seemed to have the best time!”

About: I had a family dog growing up, took care of stray dogs while living in Thailand, and shared a Springer spaniel for a couple of years. For 8 years, me and my husband lived with the wonderful, much loved Daisy, a reactive rescue staffie who needed a lot of love, attention and care. Daisy died in January 2023, and since then I've taken care of a friend's beautiful black lab for a couple of months. I did a Dog First Aid course with Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home in June 2023, and I offered dog boarding until the end of 2023. I was away in Australia this year - and took care of my sister's gorgeous Jack Russell cross Freddie. I'm now back in Edinburgh and ready to offer boarding to one dog at a time. I want owners to be able to relax and enjoy a holiday, knowing that their beloved pet is being cared for and lavished with attention, cuddles and love! Because Daisy was a reactive dog, and for her last few years, a senior dog, I'm confident to offer boarding to dogs who are reactive to other dogs, and to older dogs who might have additional needs. We live in a big upper Villa with an enclosed garden, so it's perfect place for dogs to relax and enjoy themselves. I work from home, so dog sitting fits in with my routine really well. Typically I work for an hour, then have a break. I love walking every day. I'm happy to get up early or stay up late if that's what your dog is used to - keeping their normal routine as much as possible. Your dog will be a bit stressed being away from you, so I want to do everything I can to help them relax and enjoy themselves. I live in a big place with a dog safe garden. Even though it's secure, I won't leave your dog alone in the garden, I'll always be there keeping an eye - or playing with them! I'm within 20 minutes walk of Blackford Hill, the Meadows and Holyrood Park, and there are a couple of quiet cemeteries nearby perfect for walks as well. I'm a short drive away from the beach and the hills, and I'll want to take your dog places they'll enjoy. I did the Dog First Aid course so I also feel confident about recognising when a dog needs extra help, and I'm a 5 minute drive away from an emergency vet hospital.
“Daniel was great. Very friendly, a happy, smiley man. Our two old English sheep dogs seemed happy to stay with him and both seemed relaxed when we arrived to collect them. Daniel got on well with Duncan who is an anxious dog as we adopted him.and he's deaf so he was nervous when we left but he seemed settled and fine when we collected him. Thank you so much for having them. I would recommend Daniel to anyone who was looking for a dog sitter.”

“Stephanie is so lovely with Lumi when I needed day care a few times! Stephanie is easy to communicate with and Lumi clearly had the best time. She came home happy and tired in the best ways. I'll definitely keep booking with Stephanie.”

“Absolutely fantastic sitter. My pup has been so well looked after. Would not hesitate to use again and great to have the option for a day out in Edinburgh with my very happy pup nearby.”

“Hunter was nervous about his visit but was soon put at ease by you guys. He’s a loud dog and challenging at times but you both do a wonderful job caring for him and he looked like he had so much fun on his walks and getting cuddles! You’re both saints and we would definitely use you again!”

“Carolina has been super helpful and considerate when we have needed to move dates around due to work or impress. We firstly done a meet and greet which was really nice for Ozzy to be introduced as well as myself. Carolina and her husband were very friendly and welcomed us to visit their home. On his first doggy day care, i got lots of pictures and can see he went on a lovely walk and had some cuddles. Thank you xx”

About: Hi, I’m Kathryn! I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I had a working Cocker Spaniel called Bracken from the age of 8, and he was a huge part of my life until he sadly passed away a few years ago. Since then, I’ve really missed having dogs around. While I’m not quite in a position to have a dog of my own at the moment, I’d love to welcome dogs back into my life by helping other owners care for theirs. Whether it’s a walk, day care, or overnight stay, I’ll make sure your dog receives plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and care. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I will always treat your dog as if they were my own. I’m reliable, responsible, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs of all personalities and energy levels. I’d be happy to provide updates and photos while you’re away, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry friend is safe, happy, and well cared for. I look forward to meeting you and your dog! I work full time but mostly from home and can be very flexible as to when I go into the office! I go for long daily walks so would love to have a dog to keep my company :) I live in a spacious two-bedroom ground-floor flat with plenty of room for dogs to relax, play, and feel at home. Being on the ground floor also means easy access to a garden area just outside! As I don’t have any pets of my own, your dog will receive my full attention and care during their stay. I understand that every dog has their own routine and needs, and I’ll do my best to maintain these to help them feel safe, settled, and comfortable. Whether they’re energetic and playful or prefer a quieter environment, I’ll provide a calm, caring space where they can feel right at home!!
“I feel very happy leaving Hamish with Ruth. He loves staying with her and she sends updates so you know everything is ok. One happy tired dog at the end of the day. Thank you.”

“Lisa and Chris took great care of Dimma & she clearly had a lovely time with them! They took the time to meet up beforehand so that Dimma could be familiar with them, and communication was really good throughout. Won't hesitate to leave Dimma with them again!”

“Lien was just fantastic! Rev was totally taken by her from the moment we met. She was incredibly understanding to his needs and sent me many updates. You could tell from the photos that Rev was relaxed and he felt totally at home. Lien was also very flexible when my plans changed a bit, due to a flat tyre. I cant recommend Lien more. The perfect sitter.”

“Using Rover for the first time was daunting, but I trust our Knuffel’s instinct — and he walked straight into Kirsty and David’s house and immediately flopped over for a belly rub. Communication with Kirsty was easy, and she was wonderfully flexible with pick‑up time, which made the whole experience even smoother. Getting pictures throughout the day of him in his usual happy pose — paws in the air, fast asleep — was reassuring and meant we could enjoy our day without worrying. We’ll definitely rebook with Kirsty and David again.”

“My Michael had a brilliant day at Marks. You can always tell when your dog has been well looked after when you pick them up. He was happy, relaxed and I sensed zero anxiety from him. Mark kept me updated throughout the day with photos and was always prompt with communications. It was clear Michael had a fun day with plenty walks. Will definitely be in contact again in the future, thanks again Mark!”

“Great. Lots of walks and Jacqueline was so flexible about pick up and drop off timer. Really friendly and Charlie seemed to be very happy staying at her house too. Definitely will use Jacqueline again.”

“Lucy was AMAZING with my Naiya! She was so calm and patient and even came to meet us twice before the actual day of the dog walk so she could get used to her as my dog can be a little nervous and very stubborn with some walkers. Lucy is so kind and even sent me pictures and updates throughout the day! I wouldn’t hesitate to book Lucy again and I know Naiya will be very excited to see her when we do. Cannot recommend Lucy enough and she is great with big, sometimes reactive dogs and treated my wee one with kindness and patience”

“James was quick to respond to all messages, and turned up on time. He came over for a meet and greet with the dogs prior to the first booked session. Very nice guy, local to me, kind with the dogs and clearly loves their company. They had a great time, the pictures he sent me speak for themselves. Thanks!”

About: I’ve previously worked in veterinary practice, which has given me a good understanding of animal health, behaviour, and welfare. I have dogs of my own, so I know how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pet. Whether your dog is young, older, energetic, or just enjoys lots of cuddles, I’ll make sure they receive the care and attention they deserve! I’m pretty flexible at the moment, so pet care would fit in nicely with my schedule. I enjoy spending time with dogs and would love to help owners by providing friendly, reliable visits and plenty of attention and care when needed. I’ll provide caring visits in your home, following your pet’s routine with feeding, toilet breaks, playtime, companionship, and updates to give you peace of mind.

About: I look after friends and family’s pets whenever necessary, and have been a part of Rover for a wee while now. I have experience with different breeds/sizes and love time spent with animals! I’m currently working part time and my hours are very flexible week by week! I live right next to the pentlands so plenty walks and outdoor time. I have a fenced garden at the back, with decking, and a front garden space. I have one young female spaniel called Rosie who is friendly (although likes to make a fair noise when first meeting new friends).
“It was so lovely to meet Tess. She was absomutely great with our wee dog. She gave me bonus updates as she went out a walk and let me know how are dog was when she was out. I will definitely be back in touch to book again. Thanks again, Tess!”

About: I have around 3 years of experience caring for dogs and I truly enjoy spending time with them. I currently work as a bank worker in a dog day care setting, helping with collections and drop-offs around Edinburgh and supporting daily exploratory walks. This has given me experience with different dogs, routines and behaviours, as well as understanding the importance of keeping dogs safe and well managed. I also regularly walk dogs for neighbours and family in Peebles simply because I love being outdoors with them. At home, dogs are treated as part of the family. I have 5 children who also love animals, so visiting dogs receive plenty of care, attention and kindness. I also have a secure garden where dogs can have safe outdoor time, alongside their walks and enrichment. I live close to Hay Lodge Park, the River Tweed and lovely woodland and riverside walks, which are perfect for dogs who enjoy sniffing, exploring and being outside. I am very active and happy to offer long walks, but I always adapt exercise depending on each dog’s age, health, confidence and normal routine. I prefer to care for 1 or 2 dogs at a time so I can give them proper attention and make sure they feel relaxed and safe. I have completed the IMDT Professional Day Care and Boarding qualification, which supports my understanding of dog welfare, behaviour and safe handling. I currently work part‑time from home, which gives me good flexibility to care for dogs during the week. I am available for walks, home visits and daycare, and I can also offer boarding. My daily routine already includes time outdoors, so I enjoy taking dogs on regular walks, whether this is a calm one-hour walk or a longer exploratory walk depending on the dog’s needs. I am happy to adapt my schedule to suit each dog, especially if they require specific routines for feeding, rest or exercise. I normally keep owners informed by sending regular updates and photos of our daily activities, so they can see how their dog is doing and feel reassured. I provide a safe environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. I usually care for one or two dogs at a time so I can give them my full attention and make sure they feel comfortable. In my home, dogs have access to indoor & outdoor spaces to rest and relax, as well as regular time for walks and enrichment. I always prioritise safety, using leads, harnesses or controlled environments where appropriate, and adapting activities to each dog’s age, health and personality.
About: As a freelance artist my time is entirely my own and that flexibility means I can give your pets all the attention they need. I love long walks in nature and have experience with many breeds and temperaments in many different areas, from mountain walking/running with dogs to a gentle stroll round the block. Very flexible and freelance artist, so can easily make my own schedule. I drive and am very happy to travel. Typically I prefer morning/midday walks to kick start the day! This entirely depends upon the history of each pet. I respect the pet’s owners choices and treat every pet with as much care and attention that I can.

“We recently left our cocker spaniel, Poppy, with Caity for her first overnight stay, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Caity was warm, friendly and welcoming from the outset, and it was clear she has a great deal of experience with dogs. Poppy settled in really well and seemed to thoroughly enjoy her time there. When we picked her up, she was relaxed, happy and completely at ease, which is always the best indication that she has been well cared for. It gave us real peace of mind knowing that Poppy was in such capable and caring hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Caity to anyone looking for a trustworthy and experienced dog sitter, and we will definitely be booking with her again in the future. 🐾❤️”

“Debbie was nothing short of wonderful with my dogs. They were so happy and excited to go back to her the second time, which says everything about how comfortable and cared for they felt in her home. They've stayed with her for a full week before as well, and every time I’ve had complete peace of mind knowing they were in such kind and capable hands. She is genuinely one of the sweetest, gentlest people I’ve met, and it’s clear how much love and care she gives the dogs she looks after. She's also very experienced with dogs, and I didn’t have to worry about a thing and was so grateful for how well she cared for them. I would recommend her without hesitation and will be using her services again!!”

“Nicole was absolutely welcoming and adorable with Frida. You can feel how much she loves dogs! We first met her in the parks and she knew how to approach Frida from the start. Then we walked together to her home, which was very reassuring for us. Frida's a rescued dog and she knew how to deal with her from the beginning: with patience and love. She sent us lots of photos and a daily update every day. She was also very kind to us and gave us tips about the city. We definitely recommend Nicole. Frida is going to miss her couch and all her cuddles so much!”

“We would highly recommend using Nicole as a dog sitter and we will certainly be using her again. Nicole took care of our two dogs for four nights. She was very diligent and responsive. We spoke with her beforehand where she went through her routine for caring for the dogs. For the whole time we were away we felt very reassured.
