About: I’m a kind and compassionate pet owner and lover who loves spending time with my horse and dog going on big hacks with my dog along side and would adore your pet the same! I currently work full time 8am-8pm however, very flexible only doing this 3x a week. However, this changes often and can accommodate from month to month. I have a lot of responsibility with my pets. My dog is walked 2x big walks a day with my horse also being fed and groomed and ridden everyday also!

About: I have previously taken care of my head nurse’s cats when she has been on holiday, including feeding, changing litter trays, grooming and of course cuddling! I adore cats, or any animal for that matter so I’m always happy to be around them whenever I’m required
“Tess looked after Freddie on two of my office days this week and was fantastic. Communication was excellent, she was always on time, and I received lovely photo updates throughout. Freddie clearly had a great time! I’d happily recommend Tess to friends and would absolutely rely on her again whenever Freddie needs care 😊”

About: My love for cats started young — when I was 4 years old, my cousin and I found a kitten hiding in my grandmother’s garage. Since then, I’ve always felt comfortable caring for and understanding cats of all personalities. Over the past several years, I’ve cat sat for a variety of owners, adapting to each cat’s individual needs — whether that’s playful energy, shy temperaments, or simply keeping a calm routine. I prioritise clear communication and always keep owners updated with messages and photos for peace of mind. My girlfriend and I often sit together, and she has grown up with five cats of her own, so caring for multiple cats and different personalities is something we’re very used to. Your cat’s comfort and safety always come first.

“Juliet is just perfect for our two daft dogs - they are not the easist to look after but Juliet takes it all in her stride. After their first daycare session, they come home relaxed and happy and on the second visit, charged through to the toy box without a moment's hesitation. They hardly even glanced up as I left them, very reassuring. Several repeat bookings made already!”

I just love a pet cuddle! I am now retired so I have plenty of time to look after your pets needs. I love walking and miss my faithful Labradors company. My house is semi-rural and has a safe and secure fenced garden with lots of good walking nearby. Your pet would be loved as if one of my own.
“Siyi provided exceptional care and has obvious expertise and love for dogs! Lots of great photos and videos throughout the day, so I knew Mochi was happy and safe. Highly recommended!!”

“Alisson was great with my 4.5 month old puppy. This was my first time using Rover and my puppy’s first time staying in another place without me. Alisson was very patient with Rosie, even when she was nervous and camped out by the door. She took Rosie on walks to get her more comfortable and communicated how the visit went. By the end of the session, Rosie had opened up to Alisson and show signs of being more comfortable. I have an overnight trip planned soon and will be bringing Rosie back for care!”

About: Myself and my partner have both grown up with dogs - him having had a mixture of collies and mixed breeds, while I have had flat coated retrievers, cocker spaniels and a Rhodesian ridgeback since I was young. We have looked after my family dogs extensively in recent years, notably my parents’ two energetic flat coats (now 2 and 4) and my sister’s cocker spaniel (now 10) since she was a puppy alongside a number of friends’ dogs. In addition to this we now also have our very own Jack Russell puppy! He is incredibly sociable and adores dogs and people and we love spending our weekends and any spare time on walks and playing with him. As dog lovers with experience of dogs of all different sizes and temperaments we would love to look after and host your dog and give our pup Laszlo another friend to play with! We work on a hybrid basis so there is always someone at home with the dog and we have a fenced back garden for the dogs to play in, as well as access to the large, private Douglas Crescent Gardens to take dogs for walks and a play in a safe enclosed area during the working day, as well as a car for adventures further afield on weekends. My partner and I both work on a hybrid basis so there is always someone home during the day to let dogs out for a loo break when required, as well as walks and playing during the working day. At weekends we like to take our dog Laszlo out for long walks, whether to the beach, a park or further afield to play and explore new places and would love to take your dog along. We have a fenced garden, as well as access to the larger, fenced private Douglas Crescent Gardens where we go regularly. Depending on your dogs needs there is plenty of space in our flat to let them have rest time or be crated as required. As dog owners ourselves we are very aware of an individual dog’s needs and quirks and are happy to accommodate!
“Stephanie is so lovely with Lumi when I needed day care a few times! Stephanie is easy to communicate with and Lumi clearly had the best time. She came home happy and tired in the best ways. I'll definitely keep booking with Stephanie.”

“Liam was able to look after my dog, Robin, yesterday from 9:30am to 4:30pm at very short notice, which I was incredibly grateful for. The booking was only made the night before due to some last-minute plans, and Liam was very accommodating throughout. When I first booked, I could only provide rough timings and Liam was happy for me to confirm and slightly adjust them later, which made the whole process much less stressful. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for a meet and greet beforehand but thankfully Robin and Liam's dog, Clyde, got on really well from the start. It certainly seemed like Robin had a fantastic day with them, spending time in their big garden but especially enjoying a walk and even a wander around Dobbies! Liam kept me updated with plenty of photos, which was very reassuring, and he also included them in the Rover Card. As an anxious dog owner, I really appreciated the regular updates and communication. Liam was friendly, welcoming, and immediately put me at ease. I would definitely recommend Liam and family to others, and if we're ever in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to book with him.”

“Giulia looked after Orla for the first time this weekend. Orla tends to be quite a nervous pup so we were amazed when she went in to the house happily! Giulia and family were very welcoming, and we felt really happy to leave a Orla in their care. We will definitely be booking in again!”

About: I’m a huge animal lover with previous experience dog walking and pet sitting professionally. I have professional experience caring for dogs and cats as well as voluntary animal care experience with both Guide Dogs and the RSPCA. Working with the RSPCA I cared for animals with a variety of behavioural issues. I have also cared for my own dogs, cats and Guinea pigs throughout my life. I currently have 1 small dog who gets on well with other dogs. Any dogs in my care for the day would need to get on with her, happy to meet up beforehand to check this. When dog walking, I can walk dogs together or separately depending on your preference. I can provide drop in care and feeding for any pets as well as dog walking and daycare. Please get in touch with a request and I'll let you know if I can help 😊 I have good availability for pet care and walking over Summer 2025. Please get in touch and I’ll let you know if I can help! I live in a rural area with lots of quiet spots for walks. I have one small dog who any dogs in my care would need to get on with. I do live in a small flat with steps up to it. The garden is not fully secure.
“James was quick to respond to all messages, and turned up on time. He came over for a meet and greet with the dogs prior to the first booked session. Very nice guy, local to me, kind with the dogs and clearly loves their company. They had a great time, the pictures he sent me speak for themselves. Thanks!”

“Kevinjon took such wonderful care of Baran during our visit to the Scottish Borders. He was communicative, friendly, attentive to “instructions” of Baran’s care & Baran was very happy to spend two evenings with Kevinjon! Highly recommend and would certainly book Kevinjon’s services again for excellent dog minding. Thanks so much!”

About: “Her and the Hound” started from my love for dogs and the simple joy of being outdoors. It’s about building trust, routine, and real connection giving every dog the care, attention, and adventure they deserve. I’ve turned my passion into a business that’s reliable, personal, and built from the heart. I’m currently working part-time for someone else and part-time doing dog walking and sitting, I’m looking to go full time by next year so I’ll have plenty of time for your pups I have a very friendly spaniel who loves to keep other dogs company but if your dog isn’t so keen on animals that’s perfectly fine too. My home is comfortable and safe for any size of dog, I have a crate if your dog likes to go in and in my van for walking I have secured crates for travel.
About: I’ve been around pets since i was very young and have 3 dogs of my own and 2 horses. I really care for the pets and think it’s important that they feel comfortable and have fun xx I currently have just finished school and will be able to dog walk all summer. I have not sorted another job out so i will be free a lot of the time My dogs are walked about 4 times a day and have a lovely big garden to play around. They also love the freedom of a farm.
About: I grew up loving dogs from a very young age, often volunteering to walk my neighbours dogs whenever I could. Since then I have pointed my career in the direction where I can offer services to other people’s pets as I understand trusting a stranger with your animals can be extremely difficult. I work in a vet practice and am currently studying an advanced certification in canine behaviour. I’m up to date with first aid for pets and confident when dealing with emergencies. I can provide FaceTime calls, regular updates and photos of your pets! I have four very amazing dogs myself which I trained. Arlo is a Dutch herder and full of beans, at four years old I have to make sure he is kept active! He loves swimming on the weekends, climbing up some Munros and annoying his older brother Delta! Delta is a German shepherd and has a heart of gold. His favourite thing to do in the whole world is swim in the sea and loves to go camping! He has a rather unusual obsession with rocks which started when he was a puppy.. but he continues to make myself and everyone else laugh as he will do anything to try and bring one home. I have another Dutch shepherd Moose who would literally hang the moon and stars out himself if it meant seeing other people happy, this boy just radiates happiness! And Toula who is my newest addition, she is a Belgian malinois and has to be the most affectionate dog ever, she’d love to travel anywhere she could on my shoulders… if it was possible! I absolutely adore animals and I’ll always find myself around them more than people. I have experience working with more “challenging” dogs that tend to have different behavioural preferences, I’ve worked closely with the training and assessment of police dogs and hope to set up my own behaviour/training business by the end of the year. Please do not hesitate to get in touch ❤️ I currently work full time in a vet practice but I am available on the weekends or after working hours. I often take the dogs to the beach, lochs, new field or to climb a Munro on the weekends. I would be able to offer more availability if given enough notice as I can take time off work, I’m also available to attend before or after working hours! I understand leaving your pets with someone you don’t know can be very unsettling, I can provide valid references, FaceTime calls, pupdates and photos of your pets on a regular basis. i also understand owners may not want their dog to be given treats, walked for too long or taught different habits so I am always more than happy to do as the owner requests with full trust and confidence that I can give your animals the best care/adventures as possible.

About: I have around 3 years of experience caring for dogs and I truly love spending time with them. I currently work as a bank worker in a dog day care setting, where I help with collection and drop‑off around Edinburgh and support daily exploratory walks. This has given me experience managing different dogs, understanding behaviour and ensuring their safety in group environments. I also regularly walk dogs for neighbours and family in Peebles. I do this mainly because I enjoy it and love being outdoors with dogs. At home, I have 5 children who also love animals, so dogs are always treated as part of the family. I provide a calm, caring and safe environment where dogs feel comfortable and relaxed. I am very active and enjoy long exploratory walks, but I am also happy to adapt exercise depending on each dog’s individual needs. I prefer to care for a maximum of one or two dogs at a time to give them full attention and ensure their wellbeing. I have completed the IMDT Professional Day Care and Boarding qualification , which supports my understanding of dog welfare, behaviour and safe handling. I currently work part‑time from home, which gives me good flexibility to care for dogs during the week. I am available for walks, home visits and daycare, and I can also offer boarding. My daily routine already includes time outdoors, so I enjoy taking dogs on regular walks, whether this is a calm one-hour walk or a longer exploratory walk depending on the dog’s needs. I am happy to adapt my schedule to suit each dog, especially if they require specific routines for feeding, rest or exercise. I normally keep owners informed by sending regular updates and photos of our daily activities, so they can see how their dog is doing and feel reassured. I provide a safe environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. I usually care for one or two dogs at a time so I can give them my full attention and make sure they feel comfortable. In my home, dogs have access to indoor & outdoor spaces to rest and relax, as well as regular time for walks and enrichment. I always prioritise safety, using leads, harnesses or controlled environments where appropriate, and adapting activities to each dog’s age, health and personality.
About: I’ve cared for dogs since I was around 10 years old, including a Golden Retriever, Chihuahua, and other mixed breed small dogs. I’ve helped with walking, feeding, bathing, and giving lots of attention and playtime. I’m patient, calm, and very responsible, and I always adapt to each dog’s personality and routine. I especially enjoy caring for small and medium dogs and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. As an MSc student, I have a flexible schedule outside of classes, which allows me to spend quality time with pets during the day and evenings. I plan my activities around their feeding, walking, and play routines so they receive proper care and attention. I enjoy spending time at home, so pets will not be left alone for long periods, and I can provide consistent companionship and supervision. I'm mostly free on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and keep pets in safe, clean, and calm environments. I pay close attention to doors, food safety, and any special needs or medications. In a pet owner’s home, I respect their space and maintain the pet’s usual routine to reduce stress. I believe trust is very important, so I communicate clearly and provide updates so owners feel confident their pets are safe and happy.
