About: A true animal lover, I've turned my passion into my profession and recently been awarded a PhD in animal behaviour and welfare. As well as the theory, I have plenty of practice caring for animals. I work a full time but flexible role, mostly from home, with most evenings and weekends free. I am in the office on a Tuesday and Thursday. My priority is that your companion animal feels safe and confident around me. This means sticking to routine, respecting their boundaries and responding to their behaviour.

About: I’ve been around animals of all kinds my entire life and truly love caring for them. Animals have always been part of my home and family, so I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved when their owners are away. I currently have a senior dog who is nearly 14, so I’m very familiar with the extra care and attention that older dogs need. I also have a cat and 11 chickens, so I’m used to caring for animals with different personalities, routines, and needs. I’ve had hands-on experience caring for kittens born in my home, as well as supporting my own cats through injuries and post-surgery recovery. This has included administering medication, maintaining clean bedding, keeping them warm and comfortable, and adapting their diet to aid healing. I’m confident looking after a wide range of pets and am happy to care for dogs, cats, and small animals. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, cleaning enclosures, refreshing water, letting animals out, and giving them attention, playtime, and companionship. I am available for drop ins, dog walks and doggie day care. I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pets are safe, happy, and being well looked after. I’m generally available Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 2:30pm while my children are at school. I’m also usually available on Saturdays and Sundays after 2pm. Need a time outside of the above? About: I have always grown up with animals in the house, particularly dogs. They're a part of the family. I qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1997 and currently work as a veterinary acupuncturist. I worked in small animal practice for many years so animals and in particular dogs have, and always will be a very big part of me and my life. Due to family commitments I am unable to commit to the responsibility of a dog full time right now but I have lots of free time every day to care for your pet and enjoy walking in any weather. There are many varied walks available nearby from grassland to woods to beaches. Every pet that stays or visits will benefit from enrichment to their environment which includes scatter feeding, lickimats and sniff-aris (to name a few!) About: During my time working in a kennel the best care was provided, always keeping it clean and giving lots of attention. Always playing with dogs and cats every day! I worked there for 4 years and have always had pets! I have given baths and given medications for years too :) I am currently unemployed due to trying a change in career and not enjoying it so as of now I am available a majority of the time! I am up for any challenge I have a boisterous 2 year old Staffy, so a lot of experience in keeping him busy. About: I have been a dog owner for over 20 years. Mainly spaniels, max 2 at a time. Can walk sit or board like minded dogs. Archie my show cocker spaniel likes to meet new friends. Mainly kept on a lead, unless otherwise told. Treats only when earned after walk or at a heal when called back. Hope this helps. Ask if need more reassurance, happy to comply with whatever owner wishes. I,m now 3 months in to my new life in the Southwest country and loving every minute. Plenty of walking areas for small to large dogs. House and garden routine is settling in and working smoothly, but not set in stone. Remaining flexible for the Occupants ha. Daily walks, checks everything is working routine wise. Weekly inspection of teeth for anything that shouldn't be there. Checking of legs, feet and body for any bumps that shouldn't be there either.. I have a fenced off large garden in two parts for keeping dogs apart if need be. Area is open and free for a good stretch in the mornings if dogs don't want to walk quite yet ha. The area is cleaned daily and waste disposed of correctly.
