About: I’ve been around animals of all kinds my entire life and truly love caring for them. Animals have always been part of my home and family, so I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved when their owners are away. I currently have a senior dog who is nearly 14, so I’m very familiar with the extra care and attention that older dogs need. I also have a cat and 11 chickens, so I’m used to caring for animals with different personalities, routines, and needs. I’ve had hands-on experience caring for kittens born in my home, as well as supporting my own cats through injuries and post-surgery recovery. This has included administering medication, maintaining clean bedding, keeping them warm and comfortable, and adapting their diet to aid healing. I’m confident looking after a wide range of pets and am happy to care for dogs, cats, and small animals. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, cleaning enclosures, refreshing water, letting animals out, and giving them attention, playtime, and companionship. I am available for drop ins, dog walks and doggie day care. I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pets are safe, happy, and being well looked after. I’m generally available Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 2:30pm while my children are at school. I’m also usually available on Saturdays and Sundays after 2pm. Need a time outside of the above? Just send me a message — I’m always happy to help if I can. 😊 As a reliable, disclosure-checked and fully insured pet and home sitter/ dog walker, you can feel confident that your pets and home will always be treated with the utmost care and respect. I have previous experience caring for animals in their owners’ homes and always make sure to follow any instructions given, including feeding routines, walks, and individual care needs. While house sitting, I ensure all doors, windows, and gates are safely closed and locked. I also carry out routine checks around the home to make sure everything is safe, secure, and running smoothly. Contact me to arrange a meet and greet where we can discuss your pet’s needs in more detail and I can meet them beforehand.
“Madeleine was brilliant. Very easy and accommodating, despite me not being able to meet her before. Dora had a lovely time and was very well looked after. Would definitely recommend Madeleine and would book her again in an instant. Thank you!”

About: A true animal lover, I've turned my passion into my profession and recently been awarded a PhD in animal behaviour and welfare. As well as the theory, I have plenty of practice caring for animals. I work a full time but flexible role, mostly from home, with most evenings and weekends free. I am in the office on a Tuesday and Thursday. My priority is that your companion animal feels safe and confident around me. This means sticking to routine, respecting their boundaries and responding to their behaviour.
“George is really responsive to any communication. Very kind and took the time to get to know our dog. She is not the easiest of dogs and George has been wonderful. We will be aiming to use him regularly.”
About: I have helped care for dogs as small as Cavapoo puppies to full grown German Shepherds. I grew up with Staffordshire bull terriers and a Cavalier, so have experience of a variety of breeds and their different needs. I regularly walk around parks and canals, having a dog for company is mutually beneficial. I can accommodate to your dog's needs, whether that is frequent short walks or less frequent long treks. I have cared for puppies in house through puppy training, obedience training, and play, always to the instructions of the owner. I will follow your instructions for the best care of your family pet. I appreciate how important your dog is to you and your family and will treat them with the care and respect all animals deserve. I work full time, 9-5 in Dumfries (Annan from July 2025). I am able to walk dogs before work and in the evening, complete check-ins or over night care within commuting distance of work. If you are local to my work, I may also be able to help with lunch time visits but this will need discussing. I will follow any instructions you give when pet sitting at your home. If you have pets that can be escape artists, I will make sure to pay extra attention to doors/ windows. I will also respect your home, keep it clean and ensure your pets are happy while you are away.

About: I have always grown up with animals in the house, particularly dogs. They're a part of the family. I qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1997 and currently work as a veterinary acupuncturist. I worked in small animal practice for many years so animals and in particular dogs have, and always will be a very big part of me and my life. Due to family commitments I am unable to commit to the responsibility of a dog full time right now but I have lots of free time every day to care for your pet and enjoy walking in any weather. There are many varied walks available nearby from grassland to woods to beaches. Every pet that stays or visits will benefit from enrichment to their environment which includes scatter feeding, lickimats and sniff-aris (to name a few!) I can provide a variety of services depending on your needs - dog boarding, doggy day care, dog walking and drop in visits. I also provide care for cats and small furries. New owner/pet bookings will benefit from £15 off their first booking by clicking on this direct profile link https://www.rover.com/sit/kirsth40895 and entering the promotional code KIRSTH40895. I look forward to meeting you and your pets :) I currently work part time and have plenty of free time to offer professional individually tailored care for your pets. I offer small animal boarding, small animal daycare and dog walking on a daily basis, 7 days a week. I am available to house sit and care for your small animal/s but I am limited to weekends unless by prior arrangement. I am a qualified veterinary surgeon so your pet will be in very safe hands.
