Dog Walking in Allerdale

About: Dogs and cats have been in my life since I was little. I love taking care of them and making sure they are having a good time with me. For that reason I set myself up as professional dog walker in 2024. I find it very rewarding to look after other peoples dogs providing them with quality walking time and spend my days mainly outdoors...even if Cumbrian weather puts it's mark on it occasionally. I have a DBS check, attended a Canine Body Language course and Pets first aid course plus have dog walking+pet sitting insurance in place. I am a full time dog walker in Cockermouth and offer local pop-ins, pet visits. I am currently in the process of applying for home boarding license which will allow me to offer doggy day care and sleepovers (max 3 nights and up to medium size dogs). My working hours are 8am-8pm for 7 days of the week. I have a van set up for safe dog transport for my dog walking clients and fenced garden for day care and sleepover clients. Your dog will stay with me all the time while in my care.

About: Over the past 29 years I've raised dogs big and small from Jack Russell's up to Huskies. My dogs are my world, and giving them a full and rich life full of adventure and memory making is everything to me. Over the years I've studied dog psychology and have always advocated reward based, gentle dog training methods. I've recently left my job as a photographer to focus on mountain time with Bella (my husky) and would love to include your pup/s on our days exploring. I'm insured, dog and human emergency first aid qualified, and an experienced outdoors woman, so rest assured your dogs will be cared for and loved on our days out. I normally have great availability during the week. As a retiring photographer some of my weekends are still booked with photoshoots, but these will become more available during 2026/7. I'm insured, dog and human emergency first aid qualified, dbs checked, have a diploma in dog walking and care, and am an experienced dog owner and outdoors woman, so rest assured your dogs will be cared for and loved on our days out. I always carry a spare extendable lead, first aid kit, water and bowl. I also only offer solo walks - just your dog/s and Bella and I (no pack walks).

I’m available every day of the week and can be flexible to suit your needs. I currently work Wednesday to Sunday from 1pm–11pm, but I’m still available in the mornings before work for visits, walks, or check-ins. I also have full availability on Mondays and Tuesdays. I’ll always do my best to accommodate your pet’s routine and make sure they receive consistent, reliable care. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and wellbeing are always my top priorities. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, preferences, and any specific instructions so I can provide consistent and reliable care. I’m attentive to their behaviour and surroundings, making sure they feel safe, secure, and relaxed at all times. I’m respectful of your home and will always keep it clean, tidy, and secure during visits. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident and reassured while you’re away. You can trust that your pet will be cared for with patience, kindness, and attention, just like they would be at home.

About: I first heard about pet sitting when I was in the Caribbean work as a volunteer vet looking after over 100 dogs on a small island, I went on to America where I done some more volunteering on a animal farm before doing my first 2 sits in Miami Florida. I came back to England last year and was pet sitting for 3 months straight before heading to Abu Dhabi where I done a sit for a whole month, I traveled Asia and live in Australia until I got back to London a couple weeks ago, I am looking to start the pet sitting/walking into a full time job. (: I am self employed but currently not working as I am looking at making a career change. I am a rope access technician by trade. I like spending time with animals and connecting with them, my family dog I grew up with was joined to me at the hip, I learned him how to be able to walk of the lead even by busy roads. I'm really affectionate with the animals when not out for walks just chilling cuddles playing around and watching movies

About: I've taken care of dogs ever since I can remember. I've always walk, fed, and bathed family, neighbours and friends pets when they ahvent been able to I'm a university student so this is very therapeutic for me around the stress of coursework and exams. It fits well into my routines as I have hours to spare each day Taking care of pets is simple, make sure they have the right amount of food, always top up the water bowl, a good amount of exercise and cuddles!
