About: Hello, my name is Lisa and my husband is Stuart. We live in Thornton in Lancashire. We have two grown up children, neither of which live at home and two school age grandchildren who visit who have been brought up with dogs so know how to be respectful of them. We have a lovely quiet household on a very quiet street with a safe fully enclosed garden. We have been married for over 30 years and have had dogs for most of this time. We do not have a dog currently as we lost our beloved Chihuahua in April 22 and our much loved Yorkshire Terrier in January 23. We consider ourselves to be experienced dog owners in both behavioural and health issues. I am animal first aid and animal CPR trained. During our Chihuahuas lifetime we dealt with luxating patella for which she had surgery, epilepsy and heart failure for which we had to administer and monitor medication, we also studied home dog behavioural courses to manage her extreme nervousness. This experience enabled us to become very dog knowledgeable and we educated ourselves to help us to understand all of their quirks and the reasons for certain behaviour. I have recently retired as a Nurse from the nhs which is great news for any pet staying with us as I am now around most of the time each day to give them my full attention. My husband is self employed so therefore extremely flexible and is able to go home several times a day to see and walk a dog if for any reason I was out. Any dog in our care would never be left alone for any longer than 2-3 hours. We are an active couple in our spare time and we have a touring caravan which we originally bought to allow us to take our pets everywhere with us. We spend a lot of weekends in the Lake District and other lovely places and would be happy to take your dog with us for a little holiday. Your dog will be kept safe and taken to the Vet immediately should it be required. We are happy to administer medication. They will be groomed if required and I am happy to attend to their dental care. I have recently retired as a Nurse which is great news for any pet staying with us as I am now at home much more giving your pets my undivided attention. My husband is self employed so therefore extremely flexible and is able to go home several times a day to see and walk a dog if for any reason I was out. A dog would never be left alone for any longer than 2-3 hours whilst in our care. We have a lovely quiet household on a very quiet street with a safe fully enclosed garden. We live in a semi-rural area with lots of lovely walks nearby and are only a couple of miles from the beach. We don’t mix dogs from different families so you can be assured your dog will be given our undivided attention whilst they are in our care.

This is the first time we have used a dog service for our dogs and wish we would have found Michael and Geoff sooner! The good thing about them is they walk our staffies alone unlike other dog walkers where they have a few dogs at a time. We are also going to use them for boarding too in the future as they have a secure garden with no other dogs which is perfect! Communication is great and they are flexible and reliable. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them to anyone!

It was the first time I’ve used Eli and she was absolutely fab. I always feel terrible leaving Yamba, but she sent constant updates and photos and immediately left me at ease. Yams was excited to see her every walk. Will definitely use her again- thanks Eli! 🙌

About: I am a training veterinary student with a lifelong passion for dogs and hands-on experience caring for them in a variety of settings. Growing up with dogs has given me a strong understanding of their behaviour, daily care needs, and the importance of patience and consistency when handling animals. Over the years, neighbours and family friends have regularly relied on me to visit, walk, feed, and care for their dogs while they were away, which has helped me develop responsibility, trustworthiness, and confidence working independently with animals. I have also cared for young puppies, including feeding, socialising, cleaning, and monitoring their wellbeing, which has strengthened my understanding of early development and animal welfare. Through both my personal experience and veterinary training, I have developed skills in animal handling, communication, observation, recognising signs of stress or illness, and providing attentive, compassionate care.

Georgia was kind enough to come back after my wimpy scared of unfamiliar cars boy wouldn't get in her van! So she came back to ours and walked him on the field near our house and Odin came back a very happy and tired boy. Georgia is clearly an animal lover and has a special way with dogs, she was confident enough to walk Odin off lead which I'm happy about as that's what he's used to. I can't thank her enough for putting me at ease with the pictures and video as she's pet sitting Odin in our home in July for our wedding. Odin is looking forward to it I'm sure. Thankyou Georgia!

About: I have had dogs growing up and currently have two dogs at my parent’s house but now I’ve moved out and live away, I don’t get to see them as often. I love being around friends and family’s dogs but I have never thought of being a dog sitter/walker. My friends use Rover and brought one of the dogs they were looking after on a walk with us and fell in love with the idea! There is always a first time for everything and I have great walking routes where I live so just looking for a fluffy companion to enjoy to sights with me. I currently work full time so weekends are best for me to be available for walks but I do work flexibly with work from home days. I have lots of green spaces and walking routes that are popular with dog walkers, surrounded by duck ponds, forrest areas and trails to follow with dog poo bins along the way! l live in a gated private apartment so safe away from busy roads.

About: What truly sets me apart is that caring for dogs isn't just a part-time job for me this is my lifetime passion. My journey with dogs started when I was 12 years old with our family dog, whom I loved, walked, and adored for 16 wonderful years. Raising a dog into his twilight years gave me firsthand, invaluable experience in senior dog care. I understand the gentle patience, pace adjustments, and extra attention that older dogs need to stay comfortable and safe. In addition to caring for my family dog and regularly walking my nan’s energetic Jack Russells, I am now a proud pet parent to my own 3-year-old Miniature Dachshund, who is my absolute world. Raising her from a puppy has given me deep experience in young pet care, including managing breed-specific needs, understanding puppy energy, and maintaining consistent routines. I am fully committed to providing the highest level of reliable, attentive, and loving care. I treat every single dog as if they were my own, ensuring they return home safe, happy, and thoroughly loved. Im currently working part time as a carer which i have done for 9 years now, but i am hoping to make this my full time job looking after dogs, i can do early mornings, afternoon and evenings. To ensure the comfort and safety of your pets, Paws on the Move operates exclusively outside of my own home. I do not host dogs at my property; instead, I specialise in providing top-tier care exactly where your dog feels happiest and most secure in their own familiar environment and out on their favourite local routes.
