“Sarah and family were great. We were kept informed on our 2 dogs settling in and Sarah sent some nice photos. The dogs seemed very happy there. Drop off and collection was without fuss and Sarah took notes on the dogs routines etc. I would highly recomend Sarah and Rover in general.”

“Lisa is always amazing with Sadie. Sadie is an older dog, so always worry about leaving her but Lisa is great and reassuring. She really gives you peace of mind. She even takes numerous photos during her stay, showing me how much little Sadie is enjoying herself, out and about. Can’t recommend her enough.”

“Alexandra was very responsive and gave lots of pupdates! Rupert seemed comfortable right away and even went to a gala with the family. I would happily have Rupert stay with Alexandra and her family again.”

“Hollie looked after our 1 year old Lab Max for close to 10 days while we were on holiday. Max loved being at her home with her dogs and family and he was very well looked after in our absence. I wouldn’t hesitate to leave Max with her again and recommend her whole-heartedly.”

“Bluey and haggis had a lovely time with Janice. Highly recommend. Received regular updates and photos of Bluey and haggis, made me feel better about leaving them in their friendly and loving home. Thank you very much x”

“Danielle and her family were so good with Peanut. He’s never stayed with anyone other than friends, and they settled him in, and were mindful to his character. Cannot recommend highly enough. They are clearly experienced dog people.”

“We couldn't be happier with the care our dog received. From the moment we met Melissa, it was clear she genuinely love animals and takes her responsibilities seriously. Communication was excellent throughout, with regular updates and photos that gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Our dog was happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after when we collected him. It was reassuring to know he was being treated like part of the family rather than just another booking. We would highly recommend Melissa to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional dog sitter. Thank you for taking such great care of our boy – we wouldn't hesitate to use your services again in the future.”

“Would put more stars if we could ❤️ Alex and Chris looked after our pride and joy, 11 month old border collie just like we knew they would. Jota has had a great time, lots of pictures of him enjoying himself. We were immediately put at ease by a lovely couple and we did not worry once about if he would be well looked after because we knew he would. Lots of questions asked so they knew him and the family and they treated him like their own. Would highly recommend and Jota will be a frequent visitor in the future. Thank you 😊 for caring so much about him x”

“Lesley and Howard have been fabulous looking after my little dog Tinker who has visited a couple of times now for a day break for/from me 😊 She is very timid and anxious around new ventures but didn’t want to leave yesterday which tells me she’s had a great time. She’s allowed outside in a lovely safe garden to play and inside throughout downstairs, Howard takes her for a walk which she loves saying hello to other dogs in her special way 😆 It gives me a lovely break from being dog mum 24/7 I really appreciate the free time and hope to leave her overnight soon. Thank you very much L & H ☺️”

“We are very happy with the care Dobby received. She was very calm and happy when we picked her up, and it was clear that she had a lovely time. Thank you so much for looking after her and making her feel comfortable in your home. We really appreciate your kindness and would definitely recommend you to other dog owners. 😊”

“Angus was the first sitter we have used through the Rover service. We could not be happier with the way he cared for Della, our 12 yr old Patterdale Terrier. We received regular updates throughout the duration of her stay and she received such loving care.”

“Sarge absolutely loved his time with Lauren, he made himself at home straight away and Lauren sent lots of pupdates, it was so reassuring to know that Sarge was comfortable and being well looked after. I wish I lived more locally because I’d have a dog sitter for life with Lauren if I could. Thank you so much!”

“Jo and her family welcomed my Elle into their home like she was one of their family. They kindly allowed her to stay in their bedroom too. Jo followed all of the care instructions perfectly & gave plenty of wiggle room for pick up times. Jo updated me with photos & how Elle was settling in which was very comforting. I would definitely book Jo again & would 100% recommend her to anyone else. Thank you Jo you were a star ⭐️”
“Poppy and family took great care of Monty for two weeks. We were unsure of using Rover at first, but we contacted Poppy who arranged an initial face to face and set our minds at rest. Monty takes a while to settle with new surroundings, but Poppy sent plenty of updates and photos. Would definitely recommend!”

“Laura and her family took a good care of Bagel for 6 days. Bagel really loves them as always. Laura updated me with photos and videos every day. I will no doubt trust and choose Laura again.”

“What a couple of great guys! Michael and Geoff, were the perfect hosts :-) Kim loved her trial night and we feel confident to leave our dog with them while we go on two long haul holidays. We feel so relived to have found such great pet sitters in our local area, and can now relax and look forward to our holidays. Great communication and regular updates. These guys are sure to be in demand! See you soon xx”

“Ellie is a lovely pet sitter, my cats can be very particular especially with strangers, I was a little worried at first but I was soon reassured. At the first introduction they all seemed chilled and calm when Ellie visited for her meet and greet. She took time to remember their names and introduced herself to them individually. Ellie sent pictures every day and it was lovely to see my girls so happy and relaxed. Everything was as clean and tidy as I left it. Thank you so much to Ellie for a providing such a wonderful reassuring service.”

About: Hi! I’m Elisabeth (or Libby) I’m 19 years old and have had cats my entire life, with years of experience as the main caregiver for my family pets. I’ve cared for a variety of breeds including short-haired domestic cats and large, long-haired Maine Coons, so I understand that different cats have different grooming, attention, and care needs. I’m confident with basic animal first aid skills and experienced in recognising signs that a cat may be unwell or uncomfortable. I’ve also helped manage veterinary care for family pets, including taking part in video consultations with vets and carrying out checks such as monitoring teeth and gum health under veterinary guidance. About: I am a lifelong animal lover who genuinely misses having a dog around after losing my beloved pup of 8 years last year. I am looking to bring that same level of care, patience, and warmth to looking after your dogs and cats! I work from home most of the time, but because my schedule involves occasional travel, I offer flexible, ad-hoc visits rather than fixed weekly commitments. Working from home most of the time makes hosting doggy daycare a fantastic win-win—it gives me great company during the workday while providing your pet with lots of affection! Because I travel occasionally, I offer flexible, ad-hoc daycare and evening drop-ins rather than fixed weekly commitments, plus occasional weekend visits. Note: Open to occasionally hosting small, well-behaved dogs during WFH days! Having owned a dog for 8 years and worked in a cattery for 2 years, safety and calm handling are my top priorities. I treat every pet owner's home with total respect, closely follow your specific feeding and care routines, and provide attentive, low-stress care tailored to your pet.
“Our cockapoo is quite an anxious little character so we’re always slightly concerned about placing him in the care of someone else. Any such worries were immediately dispelled by Lisa’s calm and reassuring approach. Ossie warmed to Lisa immediately and we left him with her knowing he’d be loved and looked after. Very happy to recommend her unreservedly.”

About: I grew up around animals and have a love for dogs and cats in particular although I have been known to cuddle a piglet or a bearded dragon at times! I have always had one or two dogs as an adult. A house just feels empty without them. My love of animals motivated me to complete a degree in animal behaviour. This gave me a really good insight into canine behaviour and the ability to look at a situation from a dogs perspective, this has been invaluable at times. I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes and personalities, from energetic young dogs to older pets who need a calmer, more gentle approach. I understand that every dog is an individual and I pay particular attention to how the dynamics between the dogs change when they are living together so that we can keep everyone happy. I always take the time to learn their routine, preferences and needs so they feel safe, comfortable and happy while in my care. I can also carry on training habits or administer medication whilst they are with us. Whether it's walks, playtime, cuddles or simply keeping to their usual routine, I'll care for your dog as if they were my own. My partner Mandy and I are both working from home at the moment so there will be someone available most of the time for back door opening, company and cuddles. I'm flexible and can usually accommodate your dog's normal routine, helping them feel settled and comfortable while they're with us. Your dog will be part of the pack in our home from home environment. Your dog's safety and wellbeing are my top priorities. We have a loving family home with three children—two teenagers and an eight-year-old who has grown up around animals and is always gentle and respectful. We also have two friendly, dog-tolerant cats, so any dogs staying with us will need to be comfortable around cats and children. Outside, we have a securely fenced area of the garden where dogs can safely enjoy time outdoors. In the summer, they have access to their own paddling pool. We also have a larger garden for exercise and play, although this area isn't fully escape-proof, so adventurous dogs with a talent for finding gaps may need to stay on a lead or enjoy the secure area instead. I always tailor each dog's access to outdoor spaces based on their personality and level of recall to keep them safe. I only accept dogs that I feel will be happy and comfortable in our home environment. This helps ensure a safe, relaxed and enjoyable experience for your dog, our family and our own pets. To determine this, we always like to have a visit from you and your dog to our home. We just want to be as sure as we can that everyone is going to be happy during their stay!
“Graham was truly amazing having Doris for us we really felt Doris would be fine as soon as we got to his house when she jumped all over him and got lots of fuss. About: Hello, my name is Lisa and my husband is Stuart. We live in Thornton in Lancashire. We have two grown up children, neither of which live at home and two school age grandchildren who visit who have been brought up with dogs so know how to be respectful of them. We have a lovely quiet household on a very quiet street with a safe fully enclosed garden. We have been married for over 30 years and have had dogs for most of this time. We do not have a dog currently as we lost our beloved Chihuahua in April 22 and our much loved Yorkshire Terrier in January 23. We consider ourselves to be experienced dog owners in both behavioural and health issues. I am animal first aid and animal CPR trained. During our Chihuahuas lifetime we dealt with luxating patella for which she had surgery, epilepsy and heart failure for which we had to administer and monitor medication, we also studied home dog behavioural courses to manage her extreme nervousness. This experience enabled us to become very dog knowledgeable and we educated ourselves to help us to understand all of their quirks and the reasons for certain behaviour. I have recently retired as a Nurse from the nhs which is great news for any pet staying with us as I am now around most of the time each day to give them my full attention. My husband is self employed so therefore extremely flexible and is able to go home several times a day to see and walk a dog if for any reason I was out. Any dog in our care would never be left alone for any longer than 2-3 hours. We are an active couple in our spare time and we have a touring caravan which we originally bought to allow us to take our pets everywhere with us. We spend a lot of weekends in the Lake District and other lovely places and would be happy to take your dog with us for a little holiday. Your dog will be kept safe and taken to the Vet immediately should it be required. We are happy to administer medication. They will be groomed if required and I am happy to attend to their dental care. I have recently retired as a Nurse which is great news for any pet staying with us as I am now at home much more giving your pets my undivided attention. My husband is self employed so therefore extremely flexible and is able to go home several times a day to see and walk a dog if for any reason I was out. A dog would never be left alone for any longer than 2-3 hours whilst in our care. We have a lovely quiet household on a very quiet street with a safe fully enclosed garden. We live in a semi-rural area with lots of lovely walks nearby and are only a couple of miles from the beach. We don’t mix dogs from different families so you can be assured your dog will be given our undivided attention whilst they are in our care.
“This is the first time we have used a dog service for our dogs and wish we would have found Michael and Geoff sooner! The good thing about them is they walk our staffies alone unlike other dog walkers where they have a few dogs at a time. We are also going to use them for boarding too in the future as they have a secure garden with no other dogs which is perfect! Communication is great and they are flexible and reliable. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them to anyone!”

“It was the first time I’ve used Eli and she was absolutely fab. I always feel terrible leaving Yamba, but she sent constant updates and photos and immediately left me at ease. Yams was excited to see her every walk. Will definitely use her again- thanks Eli! 🙌”

“Georgia was kind enough to come back after my wimpy scared of unfamiliar cars boy wouldn't get in her van! So she came back to ours and walked him on the field near our house and Odin came back a very happy and tired boy. Georgia is clearly an animal lover and has a special way with dogs, she was confident enough to walk Odin off lead which I'm happy about as that's what he's used to. I can't thank her enough for putting me at ease with the pictures and video as she's pet sitting Odin in our home in July for our wedding. Odin is looking forward to it I'm sure. Thankyou Georgia!”

About: What truly sets me apart is that caring for dogs isn't just a part-time job for me this is my lifetime passion. My journey with dogs started when I was 12 years old with our family dog, whom I loved, walked, and adored for 16 wonderful years. Raising a dog into his twilight years gave me firsthand, invaluable experience in senior dog care. I understand the gentle patience, pace adjustments, and extra attention that older dogs need to stay comfortable and safe. In addition to caring for my family dog and regularly walking my nan’s energetic Jack Russells, I am now a proud pet parent to my own 3-year-old Miniature Dachshund, who is my absolute world. Raising her from a puppy has given me deep experience in young pet care, including managing breed-specific needs, understanding puppy energy, and maintaining consistent routines. I am fully committed to providing the highest level of reliable, attentive, and loving care. I treat every single dog as if they were my own, ensuring they return home safe, happy, and thoroughly loved. To ensure the comfort and safety of your pets, Paws on the Move operates exclusively outside of my own home. I do not host dogs at my property; instead, I specialise in providing top-tier care exactly where your dog feels happiest and most secure in their own familiar environment and out on their favourite local routes.

“Superb, Five star plus. Kat understood that Islay our Welsh Springer was getting on and would find separation from us difficult. Kat absolutely put our mind to rest with her caring manner from the first minute we met. Kat let us tss as ke a look round her home and especially the garden which was very secure. During our time away Kat supplied a few photo which was very much appreciated. On pickup Islay was happy that I’m not sure she wanted to leave. We would have ni issues with booking Kat again.”

“Olivia was wonderful. The pictures she took of Rowan about the house and when walking completely reassured us, and on our return Rowan looked to have had as good a break as we did. Thanks!”

“Wow what can I say. Angelika was so helpful from start to finish, Silva has never stayed with anyone else before and has had the best week, he's actually fuming we have now picked him up. He's been loved and looked after , walked , played with we have had regular contact and photos daily, we have all loved seeing his updates each day. Thankyou for everything we will be on touch very soon to book his next stay with you. ❤️”

“Lovely lady. Looked after Bonnie with great care. Bonnie felt at ease when she met Lydia and that made us feel that she would be safe and well looked after. She took Bonnie for walks and updated me on how she was doing. I would highly recommend Lydia. 😀”

“My Storm went for a sleep over as an extended meet and greet to see if Tracy and her were a match.. I could tell instantly that Storm was comfortable. I got photos and updates.. and when Storm was dropped off she was happy.. and as soon as Tracy's back was turned Storm jumped back into her car.. although I wasnt impressed that Storm was happy to go back off with Tracy it gave me comfort that she had clearly given her the care and love that she receives at home... have already rebooked for a longer stay.. I just hope I get a better greeting off Storm after my trip. Thank you, 🐾”

“Matt and Zoe were wonderful with Jolene! They walked her miles, showered her with treats, and really made a giant fuss of her. They were friendly and proactive in communication with us, and sent us loads of photos of our sweet girl.”

“Rebecca and Ed are absolutely wonderful! They look after Walter when I’m in the office, and he always has the best time with them. He especially loves Bettie and enjoys all the snuggles he gets from Rebecca and Ed. It’s such a comfort knowing he’s so happy and well cared for — he always gets excited to go! Couldn’t recommend them more.”

“Isabelle was amazing! She looked after my puppy for 4 days at very short notice. She made sure she did all the right things to ensure the best care for him & he had a great few days. They took him on long walks & comforted him when he was a little nervous the first day. She sent many updates throughout & great communication. Her dog Beemer & her cats are also very friendly with other dogs. Would 100% recommend her to dog sit!”

“Thank you for looking after Kuki, I found Georgia friendly, knowledgeable, caring and communitive when leaving Kuki in her home. I would highly recommend her and she will be definately someone I would trust and use in the future should the need arise.”
