“We had never left Poppy with anyone other than family members. As my daughter now works full time we reached out to find someone suitable to walk her daily. Poppy is a 10 year old Spanish rescue & can be nervous when meeting new people. Nicola called to meet Poppy and her calm, friendly nature made me feel that she would be the right person to help. Poppy went to her straight away which is unusual. Nicola kept me up to date with pictures and messages. I could see from the pictures that poppy was relaxes and happy. Knowing she was being cared for meant we could enjoy our holiday and we would highly recommend her.”

I will take care of your dog as it would be my dog. I love taking the dog out for long walks. I am quite sporty myself and walking with the dog is a way to exercise. I truly believe that it is important to find a dog sitter you can trust same to the idea of hiring a baby sitter. About: Having grown up on a farm I have always been surrounded by animals. From dogs, cats, horses, cows, rabbits and Guinea Pigs I’ve looked after them all. When leaving school this drove my ambition to become a veterinary nurse, I worked in practice from 16 years old and gained masses of knowledge and experience in caring for all animals. I qualified and worked in practice for 10 years. I also set up a small kennels while living at the farm and really enjoyed all aspects of looking after the dogs. Since moving from the family home to my own home this is something I missed greatly. In 2022 we moved to our forever home I have gained The Animal Welfare License though West Lancs Council & at up my home boarding business to once again care for dogs I love so much. I’m currently a full time mummy with two children in primary school, this gives me plenty of time to fit in dog walks, visits and send quality time with your pets I have a large secure garden and a friendly little terrier who could keep you dog company. We also have a large kitchen/dinning area (with an aga to snuggle up to) and large utility room for drying off. We can see the canal from the front window so are super close for lovely long canal walks.
About: Having had dogs all my life I have had plenty of experience. I have dog and house sat for friends and family over the years and officially been sitting on rover for a couple of years. I have had the pleasure to enjoy the company of their pets and care for their every need whilst on vacation! I have had experience with both larger and small dog breeds and have no problem sitting multiple pets at one time. I have also been house and dog sitting on other sites to grow trust with people who are in need of someone to care for their dogs whilst they’re away. Work from home 50% of time also so have that flexibility to care for your pets throughout the week with help from my partner on office days meaning your pets will never be alone longer than 4 hours at a time. Able to do house visits and walks through the week and on weekends. Parter also sits with myself so have two pairs of hands to help with walks if there is more attention required. I have cared for pets all my life and dog sat in other peoples homes also. Have the capability to walk, care, feed and bath pets and even give medication if required.

“Ella is a fantastic dog walker I’d highly recommend. Duncan, true to the joys of a whippet, made catching him for his coat a challenge. She still went above and beyond with patience and care 💙”

About: I have experience of looking after my parents dog, Walking, feeding, bathing, playing. I am aware of how dogs communicate and can adjust my behaviour as necessary to suit the dog. I am currently working part time setting my own days so I am able to work this around schedules for any needs that may arise. In a pet owners home, I would care for the pets by adjusting my demeanor to that of what the pet is used to. I understand that some pets take more time to get used to other people and would approach this effectively, giving the pet time to adjust.

About: I've had dogs most of my life, we recently lost my families 13 year old patterdale but luckily I've got 2 very energetic Show Cocker Spaniels to keep me busy. Finn (Blue Roan) is 5 and Reggie (Ginger ninja) is 3. They both went to Dogs Trust puppy classes as soon as they were old enough and I've kept up with this training. Reggie has been anxious since getting him with a lot of travel sickness too. I've slowly worked on his confidence and we actually made it to Wales in November without any issues! We love going on walks to the dog park and socialising, a quiet stroll on the canal or training in the garden. I also have a nephew (Archie - border collie) who I've looked after overnight every chance I got when he was younger, he's now 9 and struggling with his mobility so I'm well versed in looking after arthritic dogs who require medication and more mental stimulation. I'm currently working flexible remote hours as a Graphic designer so I can fit around your schedule and even work from your home if your dog needs more company. Hoping to transition into full-time dog walking / sitting Happy to follow your lead in terms of what training you follow and how you structure their day but can also play and teach them some fun things if you are ok with it.
