About: I have always absolutely loved animals especially dogs. I have grown up around all different breeds of dogs and I currently have two cocker spaniels who are crazy but I have so much love for them. I am confident with feeding, walking, playing, and providing companionship, as well as following specific routines and instructions from owners. I understand the importance of keeping dogs safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away, and I am patient, reliable, and attentive to their individual needs. Whether it’s energetic dogs that need plenty of exercise or older dogs that require a calmer approach, I am comfortable adapting to provide the best care possible. I currently work part time so I will have so much fee time to spend with your dogs!! On a day to day usually I am caring for my two dogs and taking them on lots of walks. I am always making sure my pets are healthy and in a safe environment especially when my own dog loves to pick up rubbish everywhere she goes🫣
About: I'd like to just be clear that I am located in Askam in Furness, but due to the way I have set my service radius, I appear to live in Windermere. I am still happy to travel for overnight sits, but can only manage drop ins and walks near to Askam in Furness. I've provided lots of care for pets (mainly dogs, cats, rabbits and fish) of friends and family over the years from the odd walk to overnight house sits and have my own 12 year old cat at home. I've been sitting on Rover off and on for a couple of years now. I'm caring, patient and attentive and like plenty of information about your pet before a sit so that I can provide the best care for them. I enjoy being outside and like to spend free time exploring to new places, swimming or paddle boarding. I work locally and mostly remotely but have to go into the office every now and again. My schedule is pretty flexible, so I'm able to adapt my work day to keep to a pets routine. I'm fit and healthy and enjoy being outdoors so getting out for walks and exercise with a pet is no problem, and I have plenty of time for feeding, cleaning and play time! I provide pet-centred care. I like lots of details from a pet owner on their pet's routines and preferences so that I can try to make sure your pet experiences as little disruption as possible so they feel happy and comfortable with me, and this seems to have worked really well in the past! I'm by no means an expert behaviourist but I think I have a decent grasp of the ways pets communicate and can usually work out what they want/need at the time! I understand that simply not having their owner/parent around can be inherently stressful for some pets, so I do like to stick to established routines where possible and add in extra fun stuff - whether that's a drive or walk to somewhere new for new sights and smells, a trip to pets at home to get a new toy, or a good play session at home! I'll keep in regular contact with you, providing updates, asking questions if I need to, and sending pictures so you know your pet is happy and in good hands!
About: As a lifelong animal lover, I have hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs. I have two cats of my own and have spent years walking and looking after family dogs, ensuring they get the exercise, attention, and care they need. Whether it’s a daily walk, playtime, or daytime check ins, I treat every pet as if they were my own—offering reliability, patience, and plenty of love. Pet care fits seamlessly into my schedule, as I am available in the evenings on weekdays, from 1PM onwards on Fridays, and all day on weekends. This flexibility allows me to provide regular walks, drop-in visits, and pet-sitting services while ensuring each pet gets the attention and care they deserve. Whether it’s an evening stroll or weekend care, I am committed to accommodating the needs of both pets and their owners. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or a pet owner’s home. I create a calm, secure, and pet-friendly environment by following any specific instructions regarding feeding, routines, and special needs. I always ensure dogs are walked in safe areas, on a leash unless otherwise instructed, and keep a close eye on their behavior and well-being. In a pet owner’s home, I respect their space, maintain cleanliness, and provide regular updates to give peace of mind. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for.
About: Hi. We are Chloe and Josh, a couple in our 20's, and Hugo, a 2 year old, neutered silver miniature poodle. We adore dogs and always have. Having been members of borrowmydoggy, and trustedhousesitters prior to getting our own dog, we know all about ensuring an environment that matches the one your pup is coming from. We are aware that different dogs have different rules, and we like to keep to the same schedule you would at home to ensure minimal disruption. This means feeding at the same time, walking at the same time where possible, and ensuring the same sleeping arrangements (dogs are allowed on the sofas and beds here!) Dogs must be happy with other dogs as we have Hugo here. I work from home full time, and Josh does 2 out 5 days at home, so there's usually always someone around. On the odd occasion that dogs have to be left, it is never for more than 3-4 hours. We are happy to crate, or leave free roaming (providing house trained and not destructive). We have two crates here, of different sizes, so you wouldn't need to worry about bringing that with you. Whilst we are all about routine, I would always recommend bringing the familiar items that make your dog think of home - beds, toys, blankets etc (although we have a lot spare so no worries if you forgot!) We provide photos and videos of your pup, alongside a pup postcard (if boarding) upon your return, so you can hear about all the fun things your pup got up to on their holiday. We are based in Askam, off the Duddon Estuary. Any questions, please feel free to reach out to us. I work from home and Josh does too for half of the week. Our mornings start early (05:30) where we usually let the dogs out for a toilet break in the secured garden. We then have a quick lunchtime walk (20 - 25 mins) and then after work, a nice long walk. We mix it up, and sometimes will be on the beach, other times on the pier, and sometimes up around the lakes. We are used to catering for our dog, and sometimes friends dogs, so we are used to the dogs running our schedule! We have a grassy garden that is fenced and gated on all sides. We have our dog who will happily play with any dog visitors. We don't have children and have very few visitors to the property so is quite quiet for any nervous pups. We also have the beach on our doorstep and the lakes and hills down the road. Happy to let dogs sleep on the bed/the sofa/their own bed/their crate - whatever you do at home, we can replicate!
About: I have had pets since i can remember big and small. I have experience with taking care of mine and friends family pets from kittens and puppys to senior dogs. I love all animals and go the extra mile for perfect care. I do work part time but its mostly early mornings and late evenings so i have alot of free time to offer pet care services. I do not offer care in my home due to someone in my home having an allergy but i will treat any home i enter with respect and trust. I ensure a friendly safe and fun environment for your pet giving them the best experience while you are away with lots of updates and fun pictures!
About: Hello I’m Eve, a reliable and caring dog owner offering dog walking and drop-in visits. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I always treat every dog as if they were my own. I currently own a Golden Retriever, Nova, and through raising and caring for her I’ve gained hands-on experience with daily walks, feeding routines, enrichment, basic training reinforcement, and understanding different energy levels and personalities. I’m confident handling dogs, reading body language, and creating calm and positive walking experiences. I offer dog walking and drop-in visits, which can include whatever you need- feeding, fresh water, toilet breaks, playtime, companionship, and updates with photos so you feel reassured while you’re away. I tailor each visit to your dog’s needs, whether they’re energetic, nervous, or just enjoy a gentle stroll. I currently work full-time hours from Monday to Thursday but have flexibility including mornings, evenings, and weekends. I’m committed to being punctual, organised, and communicative. I genuinely love pets and I’d love to support you and your dog. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as I already structure my day around regular walks, feeding times, and enrichment for my own dog. I work locally and value flexibility, which allows me to give your dog proper time, attention, and consistency. I will never rush a walk or a drop-in visit. I prioritise calm, safe, and respectful care in a pet owner’s home and whilst out walking. I carefully follow instructions, maintain routines, monitor behaviour closely, and will ensure that your dog feels comfortable, settled, and well cared for at all times.
About: I've looked after dogs since I was a child. Our house has always had dogs. They are treated as part of the family. Currently, i have a chocolate lab called Bramble and a rescue collie called Billy.I regularly walk dogs for people around the beautiful South Lakes countryside. Your dog will get two long walks during their stay and lots of cuddles and play time. I work from home, so your pet will get lots of attention and cuddles. They will be treated as part of our Dog Squad family. Every pet is treated as if it is my own. We have a very large garden and access to the beach, fells and moorland of Furness. I can crate your pet if required but usually your pet will be treated like my own. They will have access to dog beds and toys. They are welcome on furniture and beds, because after all, they are guests of the family.
About: Hello! I’m Imogen and have recently moved to Ulverston in the South Lakes, prior to moving to this area i ran my own business in my hometown, which was called K9 Club Shropshire, a Dog walking and pet services business in telford and shrewsbury, founded in August 2020. I am now looking to start up again in the area and hope you give me a chance to look after your four legged (or less) family. I have a Level 3 animal management qualification alongside years of practical experience within boarding and rescue kennels and of course, building the business. I am also a certified dog trainer. If your anything like me, your pets are your babies and trust me i will treat them like my own. I currently work full time 9-5, ability to come home to them for an hour during the day, walks in the morning and evening and exploring the lakes on the weekends where possible! so dependant on your normal routine we can discuss requirements. I do take regular time off work so I am able to arrange to be at home if your pets need more 1-1 or someone around most of the time. I love my dog more than anything in the world, this is also reflected in looking after other people’s pets. I am also a firm believer in keeping a dog in their routine as much as possible, even if just in the beginning to ease them through the transition. Regular updates are also a must!
