I have lifelong experience with animals. I’ve grown up with pets (two dogs, two cats & more!) and spent lots of time on my extended family's farm, so being around animals of all kinds feels completely natural to me. I regularly dog sit for my parent's Labrador and care for my aunt’s four cats, and I also help friends and acquaintances with their pets—ranging from energetic puppies who need constant attention to senior dogs who require a gentler routine. I am confident in my understanding of dog behaviour to keep your pet safe. I’ve also cat sat for friends, mostly doing check-ins and feedings. I genuinely love animals and truly enjoy supporting others with their care.

Alice was brilliant throughout. Sherlock clearly had a lovely time with her, and we got several pupdates so we could make sure he was okay. He is sometimes a nervous dog but she made him feel at home, and being able to do a meet and greet beforehand was great to allow Sherlock to know the home before being left there. 100% would book again
Alice very kindly helped us out with a short notice booking request. She was very calm and comfortable with our 8 month old puppy and he was very well looked after with plenty of exercise and breaks. I'm sure our puppy would be very happy to be looked after by Alice again! Many thanks
I'd definitely recommend Alice to look after your pet - she was absolutely great with our 1 year old Labrador. Super comfortable with all pets, she's responsible and takes brilliant care of them.

Schedule
Pet care fits well into my routine, especially since I have the flexibility to work from home and try to stick to a consistent schedule. This means I can give pets plenty of attention, care, and company during the day. I’m available for boarding on select weekends, and I can often do overnight stays on weeknights after 5pm if it works around my office days. I’m also flexible on weekends for shorter visits like one-off walks. I genuinely enjoy caring for pets as part of my weekly routine!

Safety, trust & environment
In my home, pets have plenty of space to relax and feel comfortable-I live in a spacious two-bedroom flat with a separate living room and kitchen, so there’s room for overnight stays to have their own space. The building has a secure main entrance as well as my flat door, which makes it very safe. It’s in a quiet, cul-de-sac-style block well away from the main road, with a grassy area right outside and easy walking access to Murieston Park, Roseburn Park, and the Edinburgh cycle path for safe, scenic walks. When caring for pets in someone else’s home, I’m always respectful of the space - only accessing rooms that are needed, locking up carefully, and doing thorough checks to make sure everything is secure. I aim to make pets feel as comfortable and cared for as they would with their own family.
A typical day
I love keeping pets active and happy with a variety of fun activities tailored to their needs and energy levels. For dogs, that usually means plenty of walks around nearby parks like Murieston and Roseburn, exploring the safe Edinburgh cycle paths, and playing games. For puppies, I focus on gentle play, while senior dogs enjoy slower-paced walks and plenty of chill time. With cats, I enjoy interactive play with toys and providing cozy spots for them to relax.
