Caring, fun and reliable pet sitter in Leith
I'm a huge animal lover, grew up with dogs (and many other pets!) and spent 4 years working at animal welfare charities. Until recently, I had my own nervous/reactive Romanian rescue dog, Jasper, who had a lot of quirks - so there’s not much I can’t handle!

Sarah was amazing with our anxious rescue dog, Paola. She was super professional before Paola's visit, asking lots of questions to provide the best care. Paola had a lovely time and looked completely at ease with Sarah the moment she met her. Paola can't wait for her next visit!

Sarah is such a dog person and gives them the BEST care imaginable! She truly loves all animals (is a pescatarian for this reason) and is absolutely the person you want looking after your baby dog if you aren’t around. Having had dogs herself she is comfortable with and knowledgeable about them. Most of all though, she’ll always put your dogs’ safety and comfort first when they’re in her care. She’s looks after my dog and he’s always as happy as larry to see her and when I pick him up! Lucky you! You’ve found the best sitter on rover!

Schedule
I work from home twice a week and only accept bookings when I'll be at home the whole day, or at the weekend. I live in a three-bedroom flat and am happy for pets to go where they please/be on furniture. If this isn’t allowed in your own home, just let me know and I’ll ensure I respect the same rules when they stay with me!

Safety, trust & environment
I’m very happy taking on pups of all ages and with more complex behavioural needs. My priority is looking after your pet and ensuring they have all their needs met while they're in my care. While I don’t have a garden, I live 2 mins walk from Leith Links and 20 mins walk from the beach (Seafields/Portobello). I prefer to keep pups on-lead for walks unless you request and I'm confident of their recall. I don't currrently have any pets of my own and I will only ever walk/board one dog household at a time, so your pet/s will have my full attention. Though I'm also very happy to look after two dogs who are already friends - just let me know! Your dog will not be left alone in my flat during daycare or overnight boarding. It is important to me that your dog is relaxed and they won't be left by themselves in the flat or any unfamiliar environment.
A typical day
I love going for long walks and being outdoors, but I can be completely flexible to fit your pet's needs, schedule and personality. Just let me know their preferences for walk length and pace, amount of playtime, amount of alone time, any training (force free only), treats they are allowed etc.
