âBri was great, super responsive and very good with my (admittedly high maintenance) cat! She sent so many pictures and a great and detailed visit summary every day! Iâd highly recommend Briâs services to anyone and will definitely book again in the future!â
âLiana was fantastic! She was responsive, prompt for our meet and greet, and kept in touch with messages and photos while taking care of our senior kitty. Will definitely use her again!â
About: Growing up next to a door trainer is no joke. It was definitely my gateway into pet sitting. With years of experience sitting all kinds of animals, Iâve never met a dog that hasnât loved me. Reactive, old, needy, temperamental Iâve experienced it all. Reach out if you would like to set some time to meet and let me see how I can make your day a little better. As a part timer in nightlife, I work weekends at night. Luckily that frees up my week to be able to walk or sit for you! My superpower is sticking to the dogs routine, to set them up for success. Picky dog? Not a problem! If I do a longer stay; I will be sure to leave your home in better condition than I found it in.
âMichelle was wonderful with our cat Cooper. We appreciated the time she took getting to know us and all about his likes and needs. We knew he was well taken care of while we were away and could see how happy he was with her through the updates she shared and how calm and cheery he was when we arrived home. Thank you Michelle!â

About: Iâve taken care of cats and dogs since I was 10 years old. My first job was working as a cat sitter for my neighborâs young cat, Monkey. Iâve stayed at neighbors houses to watch their dogs since high school, providing regular walks, enrichment, and love. Iâve worked with puppies as young as 10 weeks and dogs as old as 12 years. Iâve worked with pets with special needs and medication needs. Most importantly, I truly love animals. As my sisterâs weenie dog puppy can attest, nothing makes me happier than having an animal curled up on my lap. Even if it means dealing with some scratches or disciplining, being around pets is always worth it! As a student, my schedule is super flexible. Iâm happy to take care of pets whenever I can. I love early morning walks, so Iâm available as early as 7:30 am. My house requires getting up a few flights of stairs, so large senior pups may struggle. Otherwise, any animals are welcome. Iâm happy to stay at other folksâ homes as I know this often makes animals more comfortable. Iâm flexible to whatever your house rules are!
âSheâs super sweet and nice to my 4 cats and they like her very much! My cats are all on raw diets, Maryann has no problem feeding them! A lot of photos were sent to me and I really enjoy those when I was away!! Thank u soooo much for your patience!â

âOxana did a great job looking after our cat Bean while we were away for a long weekend trip, feeding him and taking care of the litter box. Oxana was communicative about issues with our apartment building entrance lock too. Grateful for the attentive care!â

âMackenzie was an absolutely incredible cat sitter. She gave our kitty lots of love and followed all of our instructions without issue. She left our home just as we had and she had excellent communication throughout the entire process. I would not hesitate at all to have her as our cat sitter again if we get the opportunity. I fully recommend Mackenzie if you are looking for someone to take care of your furry friend.â

âElena was great with my pups! She always showed up on time and was really good at giving me updated and photos which is very important to me. Would highly recommend!â

âCouldnât recommend enough! Iâve booked with Mae twice now, once for a period of two weeks, and she always puts in the effort to provide detailed reports and extra gifts for my little Bandito (her own toys, treats, and catnip), scooping his litter each visit, not to mention plenty of adorable photographs! Mae is always patient and kind, and is incredibly responsive when messaging, including handling key pickup. She asked lots of valuable questions about Banditos care to ensure he was best taken care of and it was clear to me that she cared immensely for what she does. Thank you Mae for taking such wonderful care of Bandito, for putting up with his antics, and for making me feel as comfortable as could be while I was away! Will absolutely be booking in the future if he ever needs a pet sitter đâ

âNoah was so patient with our puppy, and very communicative with us. Shared lots of updates, asked questions to make sure we were on the same page, and took care of the pup and cats as instructed. Will definitely book again!â

About: I've been dogsitting for friends for the past few years! I've loved dogs and would love to continue spending more time with them! Always eager to help people and make dogs feel loved! I work in ministry and have a flexible schedule. I'm not free all the time, but can be really flexible depending on the season! Always down to have a conversation to iron out details! I have only cared for pets in other people's homes. I follow whatever guidelines, instructions, or rules that pet owners give me. I want to make sure their pets are on their regular schedules and are loved!
âEmily did a wonderful job with our cat, while we were away. Our car seemed happy and comfortable when we came back. We appreciate that she took time to play and bond with our cat We look forward to having Emily look after her again in the future.â

âKaitlyn was absolutely wonderful with my cats! She provided fantastic care, kept me updated with photos, and gave me total peace of mind while I was away. Itâs such a relief finding someone so dependable and caring. I highly recommend her and will definitely be booking again!â

âJonathan was a lifesaver when prior a pet sitter canceled last minute, and in a way Iâm happy it turned out that way! You can tell from the minute you meet him he genuinely cares for your animals like they are his own and makes every effort to show it. He even crocheted a blanket for our kitty! My husband and I never had to worry a day while we were on our vacation because we knew our cats were in great hands. We cannot begin to thank you enough!â
âAnother wonderful sit with Meira! Sheâs so great about detailed updates and so many photos and videos. Deedles loves her - even I canât touch the belly, but Meira is allowed!â

âEmily was excellent! She was very accommodating in a last-minute request for support when my usual sitter was unavailable. Knowing Emily would be taking care of Penny for the first time, she sent thoughtful updates about her each day, which put me at ease. Iâm very grateful for her support â and I know Penny is grateful too.â

Isabelle was incredibly trustworthy. Did everything I requested and more. Lots of cute pictures of my cat showing how comfortable and content she made my senior lady feel. Communication was great, came on time. Isabelle is my go to cat sitter from now on. Canât recommend enough! Thank you!

Micheal took wonderful care of Bailer and provided me with constant updates during his visit. He was super easy to communicate with and was very timely. My cat warmed up to him immediately and definitely made a new friend. I will definitely book with him again!

This was our second time booking with Jasmine to watch our cat while we were away. Once again, Jasmine impressed with her care of and attention to our cat. She went above and beyond, even taking out the litter trash and offering to help with a few household tasks. We'll book with Jasmine again the next time we're headed out of town.

As always, Christa was fabulous with our cats! We contacted her with short notice and luckily for us-she had space in her schedule. Christa always sends pictures that include all of the cats. They had plenty of fresh water and food while we were away And all their litter boxes were in great shape!! She is the best!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
