Pet care for me is a natural and fulfilling part of my daily life. I find joy in spending time with animals, and making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. Each day starts with caring for the pets I'm responsible for: morning walks, fresh food and water, and a little play or cuddle time. Throughout the day, I build my schedule around each pet’s routine, whether that’s a midday walk, medication, or just some one-on-one attention to keep them happy and comfortable. On a weekly basis, I like to check in on things like cleanliness, grooming, and overall health, making sure litter boxes or food bowls are fresh, fur is brushed if needed, and every pet is thriving. I take my time to really get to know each animal’s personality, quirks, and comfort zones so they feel understood and cared for while their family is away.

Safety, trust & environment

I always prioritize safety, comfort, and trust for all animals. I understand how important it is to keep their environment calm, secure, and familiar. In your home, I follow your routines closely to keep things consistent and stress-free for you and your pet. I pay close attention to any instructions regarding food, exercise, medications, and behavior quirks. I also make sure your home is respected and cared for while you're away. If I’m welcoming pets into my own home, I create a clean, cozy, and pet-friendly space. I remove anything that could be unsafe or tempting to chew, and I make sure pets have their own space to relax, eat, and play. I supervise all interactions and tailor the environment based on the pet’s needs, whether they’re energetic and playful or more shy and relaxed. Trust is everything in this job. I communicate openly and often with updates, photos, and check-ins so you feel confident and reassured while you're away. Your pet's safety, happiness, and wellbeing are always my top priorities.

Information Cailey G. would like to know about your pet

To provide the best care possible, it’s really helpful for me to know as much as I can about your pet before we get started. Some important things to share include: Health needs: Any allergies, medications, or special dietary requirements. Behavior and temperament: How they interact with people, other pets, or new environments. Routine: Feeding schedule, potty habits, walk preferences, and favorite activities. Comfort items: Toys, blankets, or anything that helps them feel safe and relaxed. Triggers or fears: Anything that might stress or upset them, so I can avoid it. Training: Commands they know or areas where they might need extra patience. The more I know, the more I can tailor my care to fit your pet’s unique personality and keep them happy and comfortable while you’re away!

A typical day

I always tailor the day based on your pet’s personality, energy level, and routine, but here’s what a day might look like: We usually start the morning with a nice walk or some playtime to get energy out and set a positive tone for the day. After that, it’s breakfast time, followed by a little quiet time for digestion and rest. Throughout the day, I make sure your pet stays engaged with activities they enjoy, whether it’s fetch in the yard, a sniff-centered walk, puzzle toys, or just plenty of belly rubs and cuddles. If your pet enjoys training, I can reinforce basic commands or add a little mental stimulation with simple games. In the afternoon, we’ll have another walk or some relaxed downtime, and I always keep an eye on hydration, comfort, and any special care needs. If I'm staying overnight, the evening usually includes a light walk, dinner, and winding down with cuddles or their favorite toy before bedtime. Whether your pet is playful and energetic or calm and cuddly, I make sure their day is filled with love, attention, and the kind of care they’re used to at home.

The care your pets deserve :)

Pet care experience

I grew up with a sweet Golden Retriever, Jake, who taught me a lot about pet care. I walked, fed, and got to know his unique personality. As he got older and developed mobility issues and glaucoma, I made sure he stayed comfortable, loved, and happy. Later, we added a sassy Poochan puppy, Blake, to the family (I picked him up from out of town!), and I helped raise him, taught him tricks, and helped him bond with our senior dog. I've also noticed when dogs weren’t feeling right, once I suggested allergies, and I was right, and we got him treatment! I've pet sat and walked dogs for others too. I love all kinds of animals and pride myself on being patient, observant, and understanding of every pet’s individual needs.

Cailey was super communicative, followed instructions carefully, and asked thoughtful questions when needed. She provided great updates throughout, and my dog seemed genuinely happy in her care. Overall, she was a wonderful sitter, and I would absolutely book her again.
