About: Hi! My names Brianna and I’m your pets new best friend! I am a 25 year old vegan that was raised by a mom that worked in an animal sanctuary out on the West Coast. When we moved here to Rhode Island, my mom continued to be a vet tech and brought her love of animals home while we fostered all kinds! My love for animals alongside learning to care for them is not only in my blood, but began at a very young age. I have 10 pets of my own at home! Cats, reptiles, and spiders. While my cats are too attention demanding to have a dog of my own at the moment, I LOVE being around dogs whenever possible, there’s no dog too big or too small for me! This why I decided to join Rover! I’m also experienced in working with older, nervous, and young animals. I’m so excited to get to know your pet(s). Please feel free to inquire about daily/weekly/bi-weekly visits etc. getting to know your animals on a more personal level will make everything smoother for everyone involved and I’d love to be a long term friend. I work from home in social media & marketing and create my own schedule, so I am available for same day visits and can work from wherever! I’m basically always on call for those last minute drop ins. I also love being outdoors and set aside time to go for walks every day, so taking a dog along with me would make what I already do even better. I have experience with ALL types of animals so there is no request that will be new to me. My own home has reptiles, cats, arachnids, and I’ve even fostered dogs’ Have something specific your pet wants? I’m all ears! There’s nothing to big, small, or “weird” for me.

We had never gone on vacation without our 6 year old dogs before. When we planned a trip to Barcelona, this was my one hesitation. Garrett (Xinwei) removed all my apprehension. We met with him before leaving and his kind nature and caring questions gave me the confidence and security I needed to be able to go abroad without worrying about something happening to my babygirls. His every photo captured how happy my dogs were in Garrett’s company, and his daily text updates assured me that they had everything they needed. We will 100% be rebooking with Garrett. :)

About: Hello, I’m a Brown University graduate who gave up on the corporate life to live off my art and my passion for animals. I’ve always had pets in my life, especially cats, and I’ve been caring for them since I was a kid. Growing up, I also helped watch my neighbors’ pets whenever they needed an extra hand. Now, I’m a proud dog mom to Bonnie, a sweet Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix I share with my partner. Because she’s our first dog, we dove deep into research—while at Brown, we studied canine behavior and body language to better understand how dogs communicate and what they need to feel safe and happy. That knowledge has been invaluable in helping us welcome pet guests into our home. When your pets stay with us, they’ll be treated just like Bonnie—with cuddles, love, fun walks, playtime, and plenty of care. My goal is always to make them feel at home, comfortable, and loved. My schedule is very flexible, so I have plenty of time to walk, feed, play with, and cuddle your pets throughout the day. Whether they need extra attention, long walks, or just companionship, I’m here to make sure they always feel cared for. The first priority for me when caring for animals is safety. I pay close attention to the environment and make sure pets are always comfortable and secure. For dogs, I have a safe yard where they can play, take potty breaks, or just relax outside. I also live in a very pet-friendly neighborhood, perfect for safe walks and trips to the park. For cats, my home is equipped with window protection so they can’t slip outside (unless they are leash-trained or outdoor cats whose owners prefer outside time). I always respect each owner’s preferences—whether that means leash walks, indoor-only care, or a specific routine. If not in my own house, it's my pleasure to go to the owners house to take care of the cats! I will check the whole house to make sure everything is in order, clean everything, feed, hang out and play with the little ones! I pay attention to each animal’s unique needs. I believe communication is key, so I’ll always ask questions and keep in touch to make sure we’re on the same page.

Experienced Care for All Companions Dogs & Cats: I am comfortable with all temperaments—from senior dogs and shy rescues to "velcro" cats like my own who crave constant affection. Small & Unique Pets: My experience extends to birds, guinea pigs, and fish. I understand that smaller animals require a gentle touch and strict adherence to their specific feeding and habitat routines. I work from home in Providence, which allows me to offer a high level of flexibility and reliability for your pets. Because my schedule is adaptable, I can easily integrate midday walks, feedings, or play sessions into my workday without rush. Daily Flexibility: Available for walks and check-ins anytime during the workday, as well as evenings and weekends. Regular or "On-Call" Care: Whether you need a consistent weekly sitter to keep a routine or a one-off "pinch hitter" when you're headed out of town, I can accommodate your schedule. Attentive Supervision: Working from home means I am a constant presence; if I am sitting in your home, your pet will rarely be alone and will receive the frequent attention they deserve. Prompt Communication: I pride myself on being reachable and providing quick updates so you never have to wonder how your companion is doing. I am happy to work around your pet's specific timing for meals and exercise to ensure their day feels as normal as possible while you're away. When caring for your pets in your home, my priority is maintaining a secure, clean, and private environment. I understand that you aren't just trusting me with your animals, but with your personal space as well. Respect for Your Home: I treat your property with the utmost care. I am naturally tidy and will ensure that food bowls, litter areas, and play spaces remain clean and organized. I leave your home exactly as I found it—if not better. Safety & Security: I am diligent about home security. I double-check that all doors and gates are locked, alarms are set, and your pet is safely settled before I leave. I am also mindful of household hazards, ensuring that "counter-surfers" or curious chewers stay out of trouble. Privacy & Professionalism: Your privacy is a top priority. I am there strictly to care for your pets and will never overstep boundaries or access areas of your home that aren't necessary for their care. Consistent Communication: I am highly reachable and believe in proactive updates. You’ll receive check-ins and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and your home is in good hands. I focus exclusively on in-home visits and walks, ensuring your pets stay comfortable in their own familiar environment while you have the confidence that your home is being treated with professional respect.

About: Growing up next to a door trainer is no joke. It was definitely my gateway into pet sitting. With years of experience sitting all kinds of animals, I’ve never met a dog that hasn’t loved me. Reactive, old, needy, temperamental I’ve experienced it all. Reach out if you would like to set some time to meet and let me see how I can make your day a little better. As a part timer in nightlife, I work weekends at night. Luckily that frees up my week to be able to walk or sit for you! My superpower is sticking to the dogs routine, to set them up for success. Picky dog? Not a problem! If I do a longer stay; I will be sure to leave your home in better condition than I found it in.

About: Hello! I’m Tierney. I’m new to Rover, but I am experienced in pet care. I have worked with furry friends of all sizes, ages, and needs (trust me, I’m a pro at sneakily administering meds with the help of peanut butter)! I’m also excited about ensuring that you feel connected to your pet while you’re away. I have been known to take super cute pictures of pets for text threads. Let’s work together! I am currently working freelance, so I have the freedom to build my own schedule. I have a lot of availability as a result. No matter the time of day, I can be there to care for your furry friend! When pet sitting, I successfully create a safe environment through open communication with my clients. I know prior to working with an animal the exact expectations of the owner.

About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was around 12, as well as grew up around dogs. I’ve mostly done drop-ins which I’ll stay anywhere from 10-60 minutes depending on needs. I’ve taken care of dogs and cats throughout that time and many different sizes, breeds, and ages. I am currently between jobs, as I have just moved to Providence from Texas. So I have a lot of free time to spend with your pets and would love to work with you on the perfect schedule. I'm only available for drop-ins and walks currently, which I have much experience in. Safety is of the utmost importance and I will work with you to keep you, your pets, and me feeling safe and happy.

After messaging Garrett (Xinwei) on the Rover app to discuss dog walking care for our dogs before a trip abroad to Barcelona, he came over same day to be sure to meet us and our dogs to review their care. We really appreciated his responsiveness and flexibility. Our building had a few complications such as fob access and many different entrances, and one of our dogs is a bit reactive around others. Garrett was completely understanding about all of these things and expressed zero hesitation or apprehension handling them. It really meant a lot to spend some time with him before handing off our dogs for a long trip. 100% will book with Garrett the next time we need help caring for the dogs when going away. :)

  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
