I have been raising dogs with my family since middle school, starting with an Alaskan Malamute puppy that was only 30 days old when we first brought her home. I grew up alongside her and gradually took on full responsibility for her daily care. This experience helped me develop patience, attentiveness, a strong sense of responsibility, and a deep emotional bond with dogs. Now, after more than ten years of experience living with dogs, I treat every dog with the same care and affection as my own. Dogs tend to respond positively to me, and I genuinely enjoy building trust and companionship with them. Caring for dogs is not just something I do—it is something I am truly passionate about and committed to.

I prioritize safety, comfort, and trust when caring for every pet. During walks and outdoor activities, I carefully monitor the surrounding environment, making sure the area is safe and watching for any harmful objects or food that could pose a risk to the pet. I also pay close attention to interactions with unfamiliar dogs and other animals, ensuring that the experience remains positive and stress-free. I carefully observe each pet’s behavior, energy level, and overall condition, including monitoring their bathroom habits as an indicator of their health. I adjust exercise intensity based on the pet’s needs and make sure they cool down properly after more active play or walks. After high-energy activities, I provide water gradually and safely rather than allowing them to drink too quickly. I also provide detailed grooming care, including gentle brushing and checking for ticks or other concerns. If necessary, I will carefully remove ticks and make sure the pet remains comfortable. Beyond basic care, I enjoy spending time with pets through play, affection, and companionship. I treat every dog with the same patience, attention, and love that I would give to my own pet.

Xinwei has taken wonderful care of my sheepadoodle Maisey! Every Tuesday, he takes her for a walk and feeds her dinner so that i don't have to worry if I am delayed as I take the commuter train home from Boston. He sends great photos of their time together and is very attentive to Maisey's needs. Maisey is absolutely smitten with Xinwei!
After messaging Garrett (Xinwei) on the Rover app to discuss dog walking care for our dogs before a trip abroad to Barcelona, he came over same day to be sure to meet us and our dogs to review their care. We really appreciated his responsiveness and flexibility. Our building had a few complications such as fob access and many different entrances, and one of our dogs is a bit reactive around others. Garrett was completely understanding about all of these things and expressed zero hesitation or apprehension handling them. It really meant a lot to spend some time with him before handing off our dogs for a long trip. 100% will book with Garrett the next time we need help caring for the dogs when going away. :)
We had never gone on vacation without our 6 year old dogs before. When we planned a trip to Barcelona, this was my one hesitation. Garrett (Xinwei) removed all my apprehension. We met with him before leaving and his kind nature and caring questions gave me the confidence and security I needed to be able to go abroad without worrying about something happening to my babygirls. His every photo captured how happy my dogs were in Garrett’s company, and his daily text updates assured me that they had everything they needed. We will 100% be rebooking with Garrett. :)
Another great visit today. Bernie just loves Garrett (Xinwei D.) and we can’t recommend him enough. If you need a sitter or a dog walker, he’s the best in Providence, paws down!
Without a doubt, the best pet (and house) sitting experience we have ever had. Xinwei D. (who goes by Garrett) took extra special care of our aging dog, Bernie, while also leaving our home in better condition than we left it. He followed directions to a T, kept in constant communication and sent pictures and updated every day. He will be out first choice in sitters every time. Honestly, we couldn't have taken better care of Bernie ourselves, and being gone for a week knowing someone competent and compassionate was back at home taking care of everything gave us unmatched peace of mind. If he's available, book him for your next drop-in or house sit. You won't be disappointed. Thank you, Garrett!

Schedule
At the moment, I primarily work remotely, and I spend most of my time with my wife. This allows me to have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability. I am able to provide pet care services at any time throughout the week, and I approach each task with full energy, attention, and genuine enthusiasm.
