“We are so lucky to have found Heath. Heath is very responsive, sends lot of photos, and has been very accommodating with our schedule including last-minute out-of-town trips and efficient key pick-ups. Our cat, Olive, simply loves Heath! We feel very secure knowing that she is in great hands, and so appreciate the flexibility that gives us. We have already rebooked Heath several times and plan to continue to do so as long as we can!”

“Maya went above and beyond for my three kitties!! She is an absolutely delightful person and you can tell she truly cares for your pets like she would her own. I will definitely be using her again and again. Thank you Maya! 🩷🐾🩷”

“Mae was wonderful and reliable checking in on our cat while we were away. She left very thorough updates on how he was doing and took fabulous care of him. I knew he was in safe and loving hands and it was so great working with her! We will definitely hire her again in the future.”

“Jasmine was wonderful to work with! She stayed in touch with us, sending us photos and detailed notes about our cat, even going above and beyond with care during a heatwave while we were away. While we've had some very good experiences with sitters through Rover in the past, Jasmine, with her dedicated attention to communication and to our cat, was far and away the best sitter we've worked with in our area! We can't recommend her enough and hope she's available when we're next out of town.”

About: Hi! I’m a teacher enjoying summer break and looking forward to spending time with your pets. I’ve had dogs my entire life and have years of experience dog sitting, cat sitting, house sitting, and babysitting. I’m responsible, dependable, and comfortable caring for pets of all sizes and personalities. I love being active and spending time outdoors, so I’m always happy to take dogs on walks, play with them, and make sure they get plenty of exercise and attention. Whether your pet needs companionship during the day, regular walks, or care while you’re away, I’ll treat them like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family members! 🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I’m a teacher and currently off for the summer, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pets. I enjoy being active and going for walks, so taking dogs out for exercise and fresh air is something I genuinely look forward to each day. Throughout the week, I can provide consistent care, companionship, playtime, feeding, and walks while making sure pets stick to their usual routines. Whether a pet needs an active walk, a cuddle on the couch, or simply someone to keep them company, I’m happy to give them the attention and care they deserve. I care for every pet as if they were my own. In a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, exercise, medications (if needed), and plenty of love and attention. I understand that consistency helps pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. I’m an active person who enjoys walking and being outdoors, so I’m always happy to provide plenty of exercise and enrichment. I also make sure pets have companionship, a safe environment, and lots of affection. As a teacher, I’m dependable, organized, and attentive to details, and I will always communicate with owners by providing updates and photos so they know their pets are happy and well cared for.
About: I’ve trained three very skittish rescue doggies and purebred pups. I dog sit for friends and family often. I am extremely energetic/Athletic and if your doggie wants to go for a run, I am up for that for sure! Or if they just need some calming snuggle time, I’m your girl! I enjoy getting to know pet’s unique personalities and needs. I grew up around animals my whole life — dogs, house cats, barn cats, and even neighboring farm animals and wildlife. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me. Recently losing my longtime companions, Niko, a tiny chihuahua/corgie mix & rescue with a huge personality, and Copper, a golden with a goofball heart of gold, reminded me how deeply our pets become family. I understand how hard it can be to leave your pet at home while working, traveling, or managing a busy schedule, and I know how important it is to have someone trustworthy caring for them. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, companionship, patience, or extra attention, I’ll treat them with the same love and care I’d want for my own. I look forward to meeting new furry friends and helping give pet owners peace of mind. I called my doggies my kiddos and will care for yours as such! My days are free and can’t wait to fill them up with more joy, walks, training, runs and snuggles. Obedience, praise and love are my core. My pets are my world, I care for and treat others pets as my own. I will treat your home as mine as well! I’m responsible, reliable and trustworthy. Can’t wait to meet!

“Caprice fed our cat for the weekend, and was very communicative, sent lots of photos and made us feel comfortable that Hendrix was safe and happy while we were away. We would definitely work with her again!”

“Maryann did a great job caring for out cat! She took plenty of photos, which was greatly apprecited. She is very detail orientated, thorough, and left us knowing our pet was in good hands. Will definitely reach out to her again in the future!”
“Super reliable and very easy to work with. Very responsive with communication. My cats looked very happy in photos and when I came back home. Kaitlin did a great job taking care of my kitties!”

About: Hi! I’m a reliable pet sitter based in Providence, and animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up always being around dogs and cats—walking them, feeding them, and helping take care of their daily routines. Being with animals has always felt natural to me, not just something I do, but something I genuinely enjoy. Over the years, I’ve had different kinds of hands-on experiences that taught me a lot about animal care. I’ve cared for a cat that had a litter of kittens, helped raise and look after them, and learned what it takes to keep both mom and babies safe and comfortable. I’ve also been an animal foster caregiver, which gave me experience adjusting quickly to different personalities, routines, and needs. Because of that, I’m very comfortable with all kinds of pets—whether they’re shy, playful, older, or need a little extra attention. I understand how important it is to be patient, consistent, and to follow instructions closely so pets feel secure in their environment. My goal is always to show up calm, caring, and dependable, and to make sure every pet I look after feels safe and every owner feels at ease while they’re away. Caring for pets fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I enjoy building time into my schedule to walk, check on, and spend time with animals, and I’m flexible enough to adjust around each pet’s needs. I like being consistent, so pet care becomes a steady part of my week that I can commit to fully and responsibly. In a client’s home, I make it a priority to follow all instructions exactly as given so pets stay on their normal routine. I focus on keeping them comfortable with feeding, water, litter or walks, and giving them attention so they feel safe while their owner is away. I also make sure to respect the home and leave everything clean and organized. If pets are in my care at my home, I make sure they are in a calm, safe environment where they can relax, stay on their usual schedule, and feel comfortable and secure.
“Michelle is great! She's done a great job taking care of my critters and providing updates twice now. She knows animals, even less ubiquitous ones like mine. I highly recommend!”

About: I grew up with dogs my entire life and am well-versed in all the ins-and-outs of dog care. I am also a former college runner and very active person- so I can take your dog for long walks! I am currently in Providence for the summer for a legal internship. I work Monday - Friday 8:30-4:30 in Downtown Providence. Depending on location of home I can pop home during the workday, otherwise will provide morning walk and then walk immediately after work. I cannot currently board dogs in my apartment, so I will travel to you! I have boarded dogs in past apartments, and provide a safe and attentive environment.
“I’m new to the city and this was my first time using Rover, and Olivia is the best! She took amazing care of my dog, Pickles—walking him, making sure he had fresh water, and giving him lots of love. Her communication is excellent and she’s incredibly reliable, which gave me so much peace of mind. I’m very thankful for Olivia and would highly recommend her!”

About: Growing up in a dog-enthusiast household, I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life: three dogs, two cats, pigs, goats, chickens, and more. I even raised a project swine to 8 years old and shared in all the daily care on our homestead from a young age. I understand how much pets mean to a family, so I promise to care for yours as if they were my own. I’m extremely patient and attentive, with experience handling dogs of all sizes and energy levels—from playful puppies to calm Mastiffs. I’ve fostered a Great Dane and a Dachshund, and I recently spent weeks house-sitting a lovable Saint Bernard, walking him twice a day (about a mile each) and keeping up with his adorable slobbery charm! As a Providence college student, my classes are mainly Monday through Wednesday, with just one Thursday morning class. That leaves my afternoons, evenings, and full weekends wide open for walks! I already walk daily on my own, so I’d love to bring your pup along as my walking buddy — fresh air and good company make my day! I’m flexible and happy to work around your dog’s routine. Safety and trust come first — I want you to feel completely at ease leaving your dog with me. I stay fully aware on walks, avoid unknown dogs unless you approve greetings, and use body-blocking techniques if needed to keep things calm and secure. I carry pepper spray as a precaution against off-leash threats (rare, but better safe than sorry!). I’m comfortable and confident with any size or energy level. I treat every pup like family, follow your instructions to the letter, and provide updates and photos so you always know they’re happy and safe!
About: I grew up in a family that loved dogs of all kinds! Since I was a child I’ve walked, played, and cared for dogs. Currently I’m a dog mom to two big labs who I’ve had since they were puppies and have trained me well on how to take good care of furry friends. I would love to walk or sit for your pet! I’m skilled with walking excitable dogs, handling reactive dogs, giving meds, and caring for puppies. I can’t wait to play with your furry friend! I’m available for walks/check ins before early weekday mornings and Monday-Thursday after 4:30 pm. Im also free Friday afternoons for walks and check ins. I’m available for all services Friday evenings through the weekend! My weekday schedule fluctuates so I often have more flexibility in my days! I would love to chat about what you need and will do my best to make it work! I treat my dogs like family and will do the same for yours, while also respecting your rules! I’m used to giving my dogs lots of treats for good behavior and having dogs on furniture.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Providence
After almost 12 years of only using family members to watch our pup, we found ourselves needing to hire a sitter for the first time. We were SO nervous but from the second we met Mae we knew we were leaving our dog in good hands. My favorite part was the detailed reports of her visit with so many pictures of our shy dog enjoying herself. We will absolutely use Mae again and recommend her to anyone needing a calm, professional, and animal loving dog sitter. You can tell she is passionate about her job and that is exactly what I was looking for when searching for a Rover sitter. Thank you Mae!!

Jessica was fantastic with Lucky! From the moment he saw her at the meet and greet, they immediately clicked. I hired her to come twice a day and she always went above and beyond sending photos of Lucky throughout her visits. He always looked like he was having a great time while she was over. She took him on walks, played with him, and really kept him engaged. I'm always sad when I leave Lucky for a few days, but having Jessica there to keep him company eased my nervousness completely. Would have her watch him again in a heartbeat.

Katrina was fantastic! She was patient, kind and loving with our dog, Ocean. She dealt with a couple of blips, an electrical outage and an itinerary change with grace and equanimity. We will hire her anytime we go away and have already referred friends and family to her. I can’t imagine a better pet sitter.

Our doggie looked sooo happy and rested when I got back & I know that’s b/c of J’s care. We have an older elderly dog with unique medical needs. This is the sitter you want their patience and care was excellent. Looking forward to rebooking them soon very soon indeed.

Lila was wonderful with Snickers. She was very prompt and did everything I asked with his crazy senior dog behaviors. She’s sweet and loves dogs, it’s obvious with her interaction when she met my dog. It was also quite a last-minute booking, and she really helped us out that way.

We had a great experience with Noah caring for our 2 dogs Luna and Woody. He did a meet and greet first to learn each dogs individual personalities. Noah communicated well during their visits with updates. He also offered to feed my pet turtles and filled my outdoor bird bath.

Emily is SO fabulous with my senior retired service dog Miss Lana! She is a big girl and has arthritis, but Emily knows how to help us, and even when Lana has some accidents indoors (I mean she is 15!! lol) she was so kind and cleaned up as well. She is an excellent communicator too, and takes lots of good doggy pictures for this mom who misses her girl!! Thank you Emily 💗🤩

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment.
