“It was a pleasure to have Susan look after our cat, Mara, while we went on vacation. Upon meeting her, it was clear she really loves animals and wanted our pet to be calm and content while we were away. Susan's updates were prompt, detailed, and had lots of pictures. We came home to a very happy cat and would gladly book Susan again in the future!”
“Veru was amazing! She accommodated a last-minute time change for us and made sure the girls got to enjoy the nice weather. We really appreciated the flexibility and care. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Janice was great-she communicated really well on how Brady was doing. Janice is a very nice person and a very responsible person. I felt very comfortable with Janice taking care of Brady.”

About: I grew up with dogs and have family members and close friends who have pets of all different types. I am experienced in dog walking, dog sitting for an extended time, and making sure your pup is happy and feeling loved while you’re gone. I am currently working full time (8:30-5:30), I will be available to walk your pup during the day, feed them or play with them for a short time. I am also available before or after work hours as needed. In my client’s home, I care for them as requested, make sure they are always leashed when taking them outside to use the bathroom or for a walk.i also know that they need some exercise so will kick/throw a ball to get energy out and make sure they feel happy
About: My love for dogs has led me to a rewarding part time career. In addition to boarding dogs occasionally through Rover, I also work for a company dog walking and pet sitting. My whole family loves dogs and are always excited to meet new fur friends! I am a stay at home mom and I homeschool my kids. In my spare time, I have been fostering puppies which has been very rewarding. Any dog in my care becomes part of the family. I have a large fenced in yard and an 11 yr old goldendoodle who loves every person and animal. This is a family home so I can only take in dogs that are friendly to children. We are very close to the dog park and enjoy many walks around the neighborhood.
About: I've been taking care of animals since we got our pups Buffy and Willow when I was 10 years old. They were a Maltese/Shih Tzu mix, so cute! Since then I have owed 3 Guinea pigs (Cairo, Jupiter and Poppy) and a cat (Meshka). I'm thankful that I have a low-maintenance pet like Meshka because I work full time at my 9-5. I do have cameras in my house so I can keep an eye on Meshka thought-out the day. I remember when I got him as a 2 month old I would always go home during my lunch breaks to check up on him for the first 6 months that I had him. When I leave for work I make sure not to leave anything hazardous out. I usually keep the bathroom and kitchen doors closed so Meshka doesn't get into those rooms while I'm away
“Our doggie looked sooo happy and rested when I got back & I know that’s b/c of J’s care. We have an older elderly dog with unique medical needs. This is the sitter you want their patience and care was excellent. Looking forward to rebooking them soon very soon indeed.”

“Meira was a wonderful sitter! She sent tons of videos and photos during each visit and was very attentive to my cat’s needs. My cat is usually slow to warm up, but Meira was able to pet her and play with her every time. She’s very professional. I would highly recommend her.”

About: I have always enjoyed caring for animals. I have had dogs and cats alike since youth. Patience and being aware of their needs are my sting points. I am semi-retired and have a very flexible schedule to help accommodate most. I am flexible for same day bookings and also short notice changes. I help to create a relaxed and peaceful surrounding by allotting plenty of time to spend with your pet. If they feel I’m rushing thru the motions , all sense of trust is gone.
About: Hello! My name is Noelle. I have been a veterinary technician for 8 years now, but have worked with animals my entire life. I am comfortable around all types of animals and can administer medications and treatments if necessary. I have four cats of my own and love meeting new furry friends :) I do work full time as a veterinary technician …But am able to make time to care for your pets! I have a reliable mode of transportation and am willing to drive a bit as well. My four cats have a room purely for all their toys and cat towers, they are extremely spoiled. I even have a large basket dedicated to their toys.
“Alexandria is wonderful. I totally recommend her. She accepted my request last minute and was patient with me as a new user to Rover. Our dog Hattie took to her right away. I immediately felt at ease knowing she was in good hands. Our dog can be stubborn and difficult in some situations but Alexandria handled her with confidence and lots of kindness and love!”

“Liana was an excellent caretaker. She immediately achieved my cat's trust and sent wonderful photos. Both cat and house were in excellent shape when I returned. I recommend her highly.”

“Just got back today after Trey was looking after my cat for 3 days. Everything worked out swimmingly! I received daily check-in reports, the kitty seemed to accept him, and the more, ahem, sanitary chores were seen to. No doubt I'll use Trey's services again when I'm out of town.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Barrington
Audrey was wonderful with our dog! She helped us with drop-in visits and an overnight stay. Audrey was communicative, flexible, and our dog clearly felt very comfortable with her based on the meet and greet and photos we received while away. We will definitely reach out to Audrey again in the future!

Haley was absolutely incredible. I’ve used Rover many times, and this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had. From the moment we connected, she was professional, kind, and attentive. She asked thoughtful questions about my dog’s routines and quirks, and it was clear she genuinely cared about getting everything right. Throughout the stay, she sent consistent updates with pictures and little notes that showed she was paying real attention. My dog looked happy, relaxed, and totally at ease with her, which says everything. When I got home, my place was spotless, my dog was calm and content, and it was like I’d never left. Haley went above and beyond in every way. she treated my dog like her own, kept everything perfectly organized, and made the whole process effortless. If you’re lucky enough to get her as your sitter, don’t think twice. She’s exceptional.

Amber was great! She suggested a meet n’ greet (why isn’t there a Rover term like Fur-st Impression or Wag n’ Sniff?!) right off the bat, which showed me that she is a professional. She was well organized and right on time for all drop ins. I loved the updates, so much so that I was disappointed when a family friend took over her care and the updates stopped! Amber is definitely a professional. She clarified a question she had about feedings and was a very positive person in general. Would definitely rebook.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
