I work around my fiancé’s schedule so someone can be with the kids for a walk I pick up, or I do occasionally bring one or both of my children with me if approved by the owner. I walk my pittie with both kids nearly everyday and it’s an easy task for me to handle!

Safety, trust & environment
I always care for dogs with patience and compassion. Personally, I love to let them sniff on their walks and take their time because they have a special gift of exploring the world with their nose! I am extremely flexible and understanding, and i like to work with the owners to always do things in the way that makes them comfortable.
Information Tarah S. would like to know about your pet
It is helpful for me to know of any guarding or reactive behavior, whether or not they are a possibly flight risk, and stomach sensitivities. Any and all information is encouraged, I can work around it all!
A typical day
Whatever you are comfortable with! I love to hike, walk by the water, or just take a stroll around the block. I will admit that dog parks make me a little nervous; I would never want to put your dog in a dangerous situation with unfamiliar pooches. I love to spend a little extra time with the dog while i’m there and give some extra love, I don’t just walk in, leash them, bring them back, unleash them and leave. That’s not an ideal dog walker in my eyes, at least not for my dog!

Pet care experience
I began walking dogs with my mother when I suggested we start our own business at just 8 years old, and have been doing it ever since! I have cared for, owned and fostered many different types of dogs, ranging from 5lbs to 200lbs. I always wanted to work in the Veterinary field, but after doing it as a vet tech for a short while I decided I liked working with a more fun / positive type of animal care. I have lots of experience with nervous, leash reactive, and food/toy aggressive dogs, as well as dogs who suffer from separation anxiety. Regardless of breed or size, senior dogs definitely hold a special place in my heart. I currently own two basenjis and a pit bull, and have a 4 year old daughter + year & a half old son.
Reviews

Tarah took great care of Layla.

Tarah was so great with Louie! She was very punctual and was great at giving me updates on what she and Louie were up to & how he was acting. She even spent some extra time with him after his walk to make sure he was comfortable before she left.

Tarah has been great with our active & energetic doodle! She is very responsive, always on time, and genuinely loves dogs. She changes her route each time so he can get fresh sniffs and she gives a detailed report with each walk. Rocky runs to the door every time she gets here and I have full faith in her when he’s with her. I’d highly recommend Tarah!

Tarah has been an absolute lifesaver! Pico just loves her. He wags his tail whenever we just say her name. She is very responsible and gives great updates. We love her!
