“Nicole is very professional and trustworthy and did an amazing job with both of my dogs. I love the pictures that she had sent as well and the follow ups every time she came to visit. Both Dogs and I will look forward to using Nicole again- they were very happy when we returned!”

About: Hello! This is my first time using Rover/pet sitting outside of my family and I’m very excited to meet new and adorable animals! I have experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. I am also a quick learner willing and eager to take care of nearly any kind of pet (reptiles, birds, fish) if necessary! My mom was a vet most of my life, so much of my experience and knowledge has come from watching her take care of our pets. I am not medically trained in any capacity, I have just had a wide range of experience with dogs and cats. I have my own car and I am currently unemployed. I’m available in the afternoons after 1 on weekdays and pretty much anytime on weekends! Contact me anytime for my availability! Safety is paramount when it comes to your furry (or hairless) friends! Whether outside on walks, in the yard, or even inside; I will be sure to have eyes on your animal and the environment at all times. I have had several negative experiences with my own dogs on leashes and I feel comfortable putting myself in between both my animals and yours and whatever may try to harm them.
“Alexandria is wonderful. I totally recommend her. She accepted my request last minute and was patient with me as a new user to Rover. Our dog Hattie took to her right away. I immediately felt at ease knowing she was in good hands. Our dog can be stubborn and difficult in some situations but Alexandria handled her with confidence and lots of kindness and love!”

“It was so nice to leave our pups with someone caring and punctual. Leaving our dogs and access to our home was home was a little intimidating, but Amanda put our worries to rest quickly, and our quirky pups loved her visits. Thank you for making our trip easier with no worries of what was going on at home. Highly recommend Amanda to anyone in need of pet watching while away from home.”
About: My love for dogs has led me to a rewarding part time career. In addition to boarding dogs occasionally through Rover, I also work for a company dog walking and pet sitting. My whole family loves dogs and are always excited to meet new fur friends! I am a stay at home mom and I homeschool my kids. In my spare time, I have been fostering puppies which has been very rewarding. Any dog in my care becomes part of the family. I have a large fenced in yard and an 11 yr old goldendoodle who loves every person and animal. This is a family home so I can only take in dogs that are friendly to children. We are very close to the dog park and enjoy many walks around the neighborhood.
“We’ve had the pleasure of having Jean for drop in visits with our chihuahua for the past few months. So happy to have found her. These little dogs aren’t that easy but we feel very assured he is in good hands. Jean helps me navigate the rover app, is reliable and gets back to me promptly.”

About: I've been responsible for taking care of pets ever since I can remember- cats and dogs of all ages and temperaments. However, for the past few years I've been traveling a lot and so do not have any pets currently. Throughout the years, I've been a Vet Tech and adopted and fostered puppies through hospice dogs and several cats, and have had extremely friendly and reactive dogs. I'm willing to meet your pet where they are. I work from home and really enjoy my area of the world, so I tend to be a homebody during the week. I go for daily beach walks and enjoy swimming when it's warm enough. My neighborhood is great for walking, too. I love to get out and hike or explore on the weekends, but am also happy with projects around the house. High energy pups and couch potatoes are both welcome. I have a 4 foot fenced in yard and plenty of couch space. It's important to do what I can to help your pet be comfortable in a new environment, so I try to keep to their schedule as much as possible. I do have a large crate and room for you to bring your own if that works better. The ticks are out in force so please make sure your dog is on preventive. I cannot accept dogs with bite history or food/toy aggression.

“Samantha was Absolutely amazing to work with!!! Took great care of our two dogs while we were away! Great communication the entire time and took the time with each dog. Will definitely be working with again! Thank you Samantha!!”
About: I'm a dog lover. I am back in New England after 10 years away and have reactivated my Rover account. At 14 years old, my sweet Boston Terrier died in 2023. While I no longer have my own dog, I work from home and am happy for the opportunity to care for yours. :-) Because I work from home, your dog is sure to receive extra love and attention. Your dog is a family member - I get it - and while you're away, you can be assured he/she is receiving care, companionship, and a comfortable safe place to play and lounge. Separation anxiety is real for dog owners too! ;-) To ease your mind, I'm happy to send pictures so you can see updates on your pup, happy and cared for. I want you to have peace of mind. My schedule is rather flexible. Your pet will have company and care as needed throughout the day. It's my pleasure to have their company as well. I live in a lovely waterside neighborhood -- a great place for long walks. Space for a crate and dog bed for your pup to feel at home.
“Jonathan was a lifesaver when prior a pet sitter canceled last minute, and in a way I’m happy it turned out that way! You can tell from the minute you meet him he genuinely cares for your animals like they are his own and makes every effort to show it. He even crocheted a blanket for our kitty! My husband and I never had to worry a day while we were on our vacation because we knew our cats were in great hands. We cannot begin to thank you enough!”
“Sam was incredible. What was supposed to be a simple booking turned into my cat getting sick three days before my trip and needing medicine twice a day the entire time I was gone. Sam helped me feel at ease like my cats were in good hands the whole time, and was super communicative with everything. I will absolutely be booking with her again!”

“Mikey was a great choice to watch our boy, Radar. They were able to watch him last minute, which we were so thankful for. Mikey was on time and communicated well regarding meals, playtimes and potty breaks, not to mention they were super kind. They even cleaned up a mess one of our cats had made even though they weren’t part of the gig. We recommend Mikey to anyone looking for pet sitting.”

“Sara was on time and super responsive to our texts. She was also very patient with our shy dog - so much so that by the end of their visit they were able to go on a real walk around the neighborhood! I would definitely choose Sara again!!”

“The pets really enjoy his visits! My formerly feral month old kitten has really taken to him! My dog loves all the belly rubs! He's always prompt, communicative, and gets the routine down pat.”

“Hunter is the best!! We hadn’t needed care for the dogs in a little while, we reached out to Hunter to re-connect and she’s as reliable and kind as ever! The dogs couldn’t have been more excited to see her again, they adore her (as do we). We highly highly recommended booking Hunter to care for your pets!”

Julia was absolutely fantastic! She took such great care of our pup. He’s a sensitive guy and has a reactive history. Her experience with fostering made me very comfortable with her taking care of him. She went above and beyond with making sure he’s well exercised and well loved. She updated me often and provided the cutest pictures! I am looking forward to booking her again soon!

Audrey was wonderful with our dog! She helped us with drop-in visits and an overnight stay. Audrey was communicative, flexible, and our dog clearly felt very comfortable with her based on the meet and greet and photos we received while away. We will definitely reach out to Audrey again in the future!

Amber was great! She suggested a meet n’ greet (why isn’t there a Rover term like Fur-st Impression or Wag n’ Sniff?!) right off the bat, which showed me that she is a professional. She was well organized and right on time for all drop ins. I loved the updates, so much so that I was disappointed when a family friend took over her care and the updates stopped! Amber is definitely a professional. She clarified a question she had about feedings and was a very positive person in general. Would definitely rebook.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
