“Elizabeth has cared for our senior cat and super sensitive dog for or five times now. She is very reliable and we all enjoy reading her detailed and comical updates on the wellbeing of our pets. She understands some pets need a little more TLC while pet parents are away and she is willing to cater to their needs. When we make travel plans, we make sure Elizabeth is available because we can rest easy knowing everyone is cared for.”

“Cristina was fantastic! My dog was instantly drawn to her, she’s friendly and extremely professional. She was very responsive and sent pictures. I would request Cristina again in a heartbeat!”

“Even was a good and communicator, and arrived at the appointed time to meet our dog Goose. He was courteous and solicitous of out dog’s habits. We look forward to working with him.”

“Britney did an amazing job! Thank you so much for being flexible, taking care of our kitties while we were away for the holidays & having to extend care days since we got stuck out there recovering from a high fever. She's the best! 😅”

“Julia was absolutely amazing! She did 3 drops in visits for us with Harley last week and it was the best experience. Harley can be very timid and scared and Julia even came by our house the day before to meet him while we were home and Harley took to her right away, it made me feel so good about my decision. I travel for work and we will definitely be using Julia everytime going forward as long as she is available. Every update included photos and in each photo harley looked happy and comfortable it made me feel so good to know he was being taken care of while I was away and my husband was at work. Thanks for everything you do for Harley! He cant wait to see you again!”

“Karla is super flexible with scheduling and always available when I need her. I couldn’t ask for a more trustworthy and available dog sitter for my boys ! Oh and my dogs absolutely love her !”
About: Hello! My name is Rachel! I’m 26 years old and currently live with my fiancé Connor and our three-year old cat, Finn in Barrington, RI. I have owned dogs my entire life and have taken care of my friends and neighbors pets when they needed it. Animals are my greatest passion so I’m very excited to see what opportunities Rover brings! I have a lot of experience dog walking and dog sitting on Rover when I was in college in New York City. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I look forward to hearing from you! I’m available early morning and late afternoon / evening and weekends for dog walking and boarding. My work schedule is flexible and I can usually stop at home on lunch to check in. We have a friendly cat to keep your pet company and plenty of space for your pup to run around outside and in! We also live close to a dog park and the beach. We frequent the East Bay Bike Path often for walks and bike rides which we’d love your pet to join us on!

“Crystal is an AMAZING cat-sitter — five stars honestly isn’t enough!! From the very beginning she was super quick to respond and so easy to communicate with. Every single day she sent the best detailed updates with photos, which made us feel completely at ease while we were away. She truly went above and beyond — not only did she manage our cat’s diabetic care perfectly (special food and insulin shots handled flawlessly!), but she even left us a framed photo of our cat. Who does that?! 🥹 When we got home, we could tell our cat genuinely missed Crystal — which says everything. We feel so lucky to have found her and would book her again in a heartbeat!”

About: I have been passionate about dogs since I was 10 years old. Throughout the years, I have gained a wealth of experience in dog sitting, walking, and general care. My love for dogs and my experience has allowed me to provide a safe and comfortable environment for dogs while their owners are away. Schedule ahead for dog sitting at your home Available for walks and drop ins before 4pm 7 days per week When it comes to caring for pets in my clients' homes, my main priority is to ensure that their furry friend feels safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. I make sure to follow the instructions provided by the pet's owner and provide regular updates on how the pet is doing. I am able to administer medication if required and can provide food and water as per the instructions provided. For cat sitting, I will make sure to keep their routine as normal as possible, such as feeding, grooming, and playtime. I will also clean the litter box and make sure the cat has plenty of water and food (just leave special instructions for disposal and feeding) I am also available for overnight pet sitting, which allows the pet to sleep in their own bed and stick to their regular routine. I understand that leaving your pet in someone else's care can be stressful, which is why I make sure to provide updates and pictures during the pet's stay with me. Overall, my goal is to provide the highest level of care for your pet and make sure they feel loved and comfortable while you're away.

About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life and have volunteered at shelters since I was young. I regularly foster dogs through Paws New England, so I’m experienced with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and backgrounds, including those adjusting to new environments. I also have hands-on experience with anxiety and fear-based reactivity through my own dog, which has taught me patience, structure, and how to effectively read canine body language. While I’m not a certified trainer, I’ve spent years learning and applying positive reinforcement training methods and behavior management techniques. I’ve been vegan for decades and protecting animals and ensuring their safety and comfort is something I take seriously in every aspect of my life. I treat every dog in my care with the same attention, compassion, and respect as my own. I work from home, so your dog will have plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I can accommodate different energy levels, whether your pup prefers relaxing and napping much of the day at home or getting out more frequently for exercise or enrichment. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a quiet, safe neighborhood that’s great for walks, with nearby trails and beach access for enrichment (if appropriate for your dog). I’m very mindful of each dog’s needs and temperament, especially those who may be anxious or adjusting. In my home, dogs are kept separate from my senior dog to ensure a calm, low-stress environment for everyone. I take introductions, boundaries, and routines seriously and always prioritize a safe, structured, and positive experience.
About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs since I could crawl on all fours! I’ve raised multiple kitty litters. I’m totally comfortable with dogs and cats, large and small, old and young. I let out my personal dogs multiple times a day. I feed them breakfast and dinner. Work on some tricks with a reward! And I’m constantly surrounded and comfortable with my family and friends animals. There’s never been a time where I haven’t had a cat and a dog. Throughout the day I take out my 2 dogs in to my fenced in back yard. I have a senior pup so I’m experienced with giving medications too.
About: I've been taking care of animals since we got our pups Buffy and Willow when I was 10 years old. They were a Maltese/Shih Tzu mix, so cute! Since then I have owed 3 Guinea pigs (Cairo, Jupiter and Poppy) and a cat (Meshka). I'm thankful that I have a low-maintenance pet like Meshka because I work full time at my 9-5. I do have cameras in my house so I can keep an eye on Meshka thought-out the day. I remember when I got him as a 2 month old I would always go home during my lunch breaks to check up on him for the first 6 months that I had him. When I leave for work I make sure not to leave anything hazardous out. I usually keep the bathroom and kitchen doors closed so Meshka doesn't get into those rooms while I'm away

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Warren
Just got back today after Trey was looking after my cat for 3 days. Everything worked out swimmingly! I received daily check-in reports, the kitty seemed to accept him, and the more, ahem, sanitary chores were seen to. No doubt I'll use Trey's services again when I'm out of town.

Laine was amazing. She sent detailed updates and photos and looked after our kitties as if they were her own. On our meet and greet she asked questions I e even hadn’t thought of and was very thorough in making sure she had all the information she needed for when we were away. Laine went above and beyond and I am so happy that I found her to look after our fur babies. I would definitely book her again next time we need a cat sitter! ❤️
Mikey took excellent care of my shy senior kitty while I was away for 2 weeks and it was such a relief to know that Nona was in such good hands. Nona took to Mikey right away, which was very unusual as it typically takes her awhile to warm up to new people! The pictures from Mikey warmed my heart as I could see that my sweet, cuddly girl was getting lots and lots of love. ❤️ Mikey also stayed longer on some days for extra cuddles. 🥰 I returned from my trip to a happy, relaxed kitty! I will definitely book Mikey again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
