About: I've had cats since I was born, and have had dog(s) since I was 8. I also worked as a professional dog walker in Boston after college for a while, working with all sorts of breeds and energy levels from a 8lb chihuahua mixes to big old labs. Currently, I have two rambunctious Australian Shepherds (5 and 6 years old) and a 10-year old tortie cat who rules the roost. Former high school teacher looking for a (slightly) less chaotic life, but needless to say, I'm used to wrangling all sorts of creatures and keeping track of everybody! Currently figuring out next steps, so I am available for a variety of times/options and very flexible. As someone with finicky pets myself, I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to have someone else caring for your pet and inside your home with them. I treat other people's pets the same way I would treat my own, with special care to any instructions left for them and making sure the pets are safe, calm, and happy. I'm happy to provide any photos of the visit as I know I rely on them myself when I have had pet sitters!

About: I've been responsible for taking care of pets ever since I can remember- cats and dogs of all ages and temperaments. However, for the past few years I've been traveling a lot and so do not have any pets currently. Throughout the years, I've been a Vet Tech and adopted and fostered puppies through hospice dogs and several cats, and have had extremely friendly and reactive dogs. I'm willing to meet your pet where they are. I work from home and really enjoy my area of the world, so I tend to be a homebody during the week. I go for daily beach walks and enjoy swimming when it's warm enough. My neighborhood is great for walking, too. I love to get out and hike or explore on the weekends, but am also happy with projects around the house. High energy pups and couch potatoes are both welcome. I have a 4 foot fenced in yard and plenty of couch space. It's important to do what I can to help your pet be comfortable in a new environment, so I try to keep to their schedule as much as possible. I do have a large crate and room for you to bring your own if that works better. The ticks are out in force so please make sure your dog is on preventive. I cannot accept dogs with bite history or food/toy aggression.
