“I was a bit anxious about leaving my dog while I went on vacation. Laura provided twice a day drop in visits and I couldn’t have been more satisfied. More importantly, my dog Lila enjoyed her visits and playtime. Laura provided me with updates and photos at each visit, which put me at ease. Thank you to Laura for being professional, caring and a snuggle buddy for my little girl . I highly recommend Laura and Rover.. will use these services again for sure!”

“Maryann was amazing. Her reports were detailed and insightful, reflecting how fully attentive she was with my foster babies. I trust her completely and couldn’t ask for a better caretaker in my absence”

“Melissa was so professional and took the utmost care of Princess. Communication was timely and it was lovely to see daily photos of Princess enjoying herself and well taken care of. She was also very accommodating to Princess's walking needs/time outside. I'm extremely grateful Melissa was able to provide excellent service and care of Princess while I was away.”

“Grace did a great job watching my cat. She fed her, cleaned the litter and sent me pictures and/or comments each day. My cat isn't very friendly with people that she doesn't know and Grace handled it just fine. Would be happy to have her come again.”

“We had the best cat sitter experience with Jules! She is an excellent communicator, shared ample photos, and gave a thorough update on each of our cats. She made our cat crew feel safe and respected around her and even coaxed our shy cat out from her hidey hole. In addition to feeding/water/litter, she made time to bond with them through play with wand toys. Our cats are looking forward to their next visit with Jules, already booked!”

“Our dog usually takes awhile to warm up to people which is why I was shocked at how quickly she warmed up to Jessica. She came home very happy and tired after their hike. You can tell how much she already loves Jessica - she even jumped up by the window to watch her leave , which she doesn’t normally do for other people. Highly recommend Jessica !”

“Taylor was a fantastic help with our two cats while we were away. I get a little nervous when we are out of town because one of the cats needs medication, but Taylor's photos and messages left me reassured that everything was going well. She was very prompt in replying to my messages, and even went out of her way to help us with a mailbox problem that came up! I would definitely ask her to take care of our pets again.”
About: Hi there! My name’s Sam, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve worked in animal rescue and currently work in veterinary medicine, where I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds — from energetic puppies and senior cats to small mammals and even a few exotics! My background allows me to recognize signs of stress or discomfort early and ensure your pets are always safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away. At home, I have my own cat, Raven — a sassy 6-year-old who keeps me on my toes and reminds me every day how special the bond with our pets really is. I have a soft spot for pit bulls and American bullies, but I truly love and respect all breeds and personalities. Whether I’m stopping in for a visit or staying for a short-term sit, I’ll treat your pets like my own — with patience, care, and plenty of love. I am very flexible. Typically would not leave your pet alone for long periods of time or without potty breaks- I will leave for a few hours usually to just run errands! Constant Communication and photo updates are key to a good stay! It’s important to me keep pet parents updated throughout my visit. I also always respect privacy in your home!
About: Hello my name is Rowan and I'd love to care for your dogs! I have a 4 year old Pug myself and have experience with my own dogs growing up--a Maltipoo, Boston Terrier, and Yellow Lab. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Pawtucket
Grace had a challenging experience with my dog because Maui is so anxious/not good at welcoming and trusting others. However, Grace was patient, kind, and persistent (thankfully!) I was away for almost 4 days and during that time, Grace managed to gain my dog’s trust enough so that he could be cared for properly. It took lots of effort and I am grateful she didn’t give up on him! Ty Grace!

Xavier is reliable punctual and fantastic as always. He is detailed oriented and follows instructions well. I will book him again and I would absolutely trust him with my dog. I'm glad that I can have someone as reliable as him with my dog. We have communications so you can rest easy leaving him with your fur babies.

Emily is SO fabulous with my senior retired service dog Miss Lana! She is a big girl and has arthritis, but Emily knows how to help us, and even when Lana has some accidents indoors (I mean she is 15!! lol) she was so kind and cleaned up as well. She is an excellent communicator too, and takes lots of good doggy pictures for this mom who misses her girl!! Thank you Emily 💗🤩

Michelle was absolutely awesome! Just as her reviews read, she was very professional, easy to work with, and an amazing photographer!!! Loved the constant updates and she went above and beyond. Highly recommend to anyone and would definitely book again! Thanks Michelle!!!!!
Rachel was great!! She was on time, and so graceful figuring out some things we forgot to go over before we left (old house problems). Daisy loved her and we will def be booking again! Knowing someone caring and responsible is taking care of your pets is truly a gift when you have to be away from them. Thank you so much Rachel!!

Caroline is exceptional. Dependable, thoughtful, and a truly caring communicator from start to finish. Our dog is older and has special care needs, and Caroline handled everything with patience, confidence, and genuine kindness. We felt completely at ease knowing our dog was in such capable hands. Five stars without hesitation.

Gilisa is amazing! I'm so happy with Gilisa. Her communication put my mind at ease. She sent videos, pictures, loved on my spoiled babies and even cleaned up an accident. She's amazing and your babies are in wonderful loving hands. Absolutely love her and will definitely book again

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
