About: Hi! I’m Shadya. I have experience caring for pets through pet sitting and from having pets of my own. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, and making sure pets get plenty of attention while in my care. I’m currently studying Veterinary Technology and I’m also certified in Cat & Dog First Aid. I know every pet is different, so I’m always happy to follow their normal routine and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’m currently in college, but I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for pets throughout the week. About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for my own pets throughout my life and have hands-on experience as both a foster caregiver and dog trainer with service dogs in training. These experiences have taught me how to understand different personalities, needs, and behaviors while providing patience, consistency, and plenty of love. My passion for animals also led me to earn a degree in Ecology, where I developed a deeper understanding and appreciation for the natural world and the animals we share it with. I truly enjoy getting to know each animal as an individual and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. Whether your pet needs exercise, enrichment, companionship, or simply some extra attention, I’m dedicated to treating them like family. I’m currently in between jobs and have plenty of time to care for your best friend! I also have a dog at home so I do need to care for him but other than that I’m available weekdays and weekends! When caring for pets in their own home, my goal is to keep them comfortable, happy, and on their normal routine. I understand that staying in a familiar environment can help pets feel more relaxed while their owners are away. I also take pride in being respectful of your home. I keep things clean and tidy, make sure pets have fresh water and a comfortable space, and provide regular updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away!

About: I've taken care of dogs, cats, and even the occasional Axlotl for as long as I can remember! Trusted by friends, family, colleagues, neighbors, and strangers. I always make sure to keep enough time for comprehensive pet care, meaning several walks a day, play, and leisure time together, but there are times when I must spend 6-10 hours out of the house. I have a beautiful, not-fully-enclosed yard that a leashed pet would love to spend time in. I keep a pet free home, but there are animals in my building. I do keep plants, not all of which are pet-safe, but I have a strict system for keeping them quarantined during animal care.

About: I have professional dog caring experience, I am certified in pet first aid, and I work for a pet service company. I have experience with big dogs and cats, and also will administering oral medications and insulin injections. I grew up with various pets, so I can handle different types of animals. I love animals, and I will be more than happy to take care of your fur baby. I work a full time job in the morning so I have time in the evenings and weekends for visits, cuddles, feedings and dog walking. I am very attentive when walking dogs and am careful about what they do on the walk. I also always double check that the pet has everything they need before I leave the visit.

About: I’ve cared for about 8 dogs in my life. I currently own two and all of them have been like my best friends. I also used to volunteer at a pitbull rescue for a year and a half while serving in the military. I also have a cat and have been cat sitting neighbors cats since I was 10. He is always up for an adventure but also per your request can skip it and stay home. I can also accommodate separate boarding areas to provide a comfortable solo space of their own.

About: I love dogs & cats. I love walking & hanging out with animals - sometimes more than people! :) I have a very healthy respect for a dog's nature, and have owned & trained our own German Shepherd and worked with trainers in doing so. Our Jack was a big beautiful boy, & was with us until he passed at 12 years of age, 3 years ago. Not one day goes by that I do not miss him, his company, & our walks. Being a German Shepherd (125 lbs), I had to learn how to handle him, teach him, exercise him, train him, wash him, brush him endlessly, and of course, learn how to be trained by him as well. ;) Also being a typical GSD, he got into every situation imaginable - skunks, possums, eating electrical cords, moving furniture, cat chasing, bee stings, chasing garbage trucks, escaping, opening every lock possible, chasing everything, learning to leash walk, and finally, surgical procedures and cancer treatments to seniorhood. I learned to put the phone down on our walks & just be with him & absorb what he sees & hears....I still do this when dog walking with other dogs. It's really one of the best parts of any day as far as I am concerned, & it takes a special kind of quiet & attention to the dog to get the most of it. I have worked with small & medium dogs as well both as clients and in my family. I LOVE WALKING WITH DOGS!!! It's a nature thing, it's a natural thing, & something I enjoy immensely rain, snow, or preferably sunny conditions. I do not work full-time, so my freedom is good. I have one dog walk currently scheduled daily which takes about an hour or so. I am available locally in RI or nearby Massachusetts, or my husband works in Nantucket so I can provide walks out there if needed by anyone on the Island. I would expect to work with the client's home in whatever capacity needed for their pet(s). We can walk, keep it in the yard, relax, play ... whatever is required by the pet owner.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life: dogs, cats, bunnies, chickens, you name it! My smallest dog ever was a chihuahua and my largest is a cane corso. My home was also a foster home and we had many litters of puppies and kittens come through on their way to their forever families! I work full time so I am primarily available on weekends, but I do work from home once a week if you need a last minute walk or check in on a pet! I am happy to take your pet outside, feed them, play with them, go for a walk or to get some exercise! I am unable to take them in my home but happy to work with you to fit you and your pet’s needs.
