“Emily was very active in communicating with me and sent plenty of photos of my Bernie boy. She gave him his medications successfully and made sure he took them all. Totally recommend!”

“Rachel has been absolutely amazing taking care of our cat - he’s a bit older and has various meds but Rachel handled everything with ease, kept us updated throughout, and just clearly really cared about our cat and wanted to make sure he was comfortable and happy. We are really glad to have had her care for our cat over the holidays.”

“Great communication and clearly has an enthusiasm and love for animals. We felt Delaney took great care of our beloved tortie. Look forward to booking you again in the future =]”

About: Hi! I'm Rachel. I have been obsessed with dogs since I can remember! My first word was "doggy-oggy-oggy!" I have been dog walking and dog sitting for over 10 years and absolutely love helping other pet owners when they need it! I have worked with dogs of every age range, including senior to puppy. Right now I am looking to primarily dog walk to get more steps in and spend more time with pups! I can also do drop ins for those that need it. Thank you! I have a dog myself (he is more of a miniature horse) at 96 pounds! He is my best friend! I walk him twice a day, and would love to help out as many other dog parents who need walks for their dogs as well! I have a fenced in yard, if there is ever a need to bring your pet to my house and I have 2 crates as well. Ensuring a safe environment for your pup is my top priority.
“Xavier is reliable punctual and fantastic as always. He is detailed oriented and follows instructions well. I will book him again and I would absolutely trust him with my dog. I'm glad that I can have someone as reliable as him with my dog. We have communications so you can rest easy leaving him with your fur babies.”

About: I’ve cared for about 8 dogs in my life. I currently own two and all of them have been like my best friends. I also used to volunteer at a pitbull rescue for a year and a half while serving in the military. I also have a cat and have been cat sitting neighbors cats since I was 10. I am currently going to school at moorpark college working on my psych degree. I’m always free either early in the morning or about mid afternoon and available all Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I’m experienced in giving dogs medication if necessary and familiar with animals who have seizures. Most animals naturally gravitate towards me and have my whole life. I always carry dog treats with me and have so much love for all animals.
“Ellie was phenomenal with my cat Nami, taking time to play with her and pet her when she dropped in to care for her. It was my first time leaving Nami for a long trip but having Ellie send daily pictures really alleviated my anxiety. I definitely plan on hiring her again.”

“Wow! This is my first time using Rover and Anna was the first sitter to pop up. I was a little nervous but decided to give it a try. She was absolutely amazing! I never had to worry at all about how my cat was doing. I felt relaxed and relieved, knowing she was in great hands. Every time Anna did her drop in I got pictures and a progress note. Kila loves her and I came home to one happy cat! I will absolutely be hiring Anna the next time I ago away . Thank you, Anna!”
“Marley is a great gift to us. I feel so safe leaving my two seniors in her care and she is our first choice petsitter! She always leaves detailed notes about the visit and sends great pictures.”

About: I’ve cared for both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether it’s keeping up with an energetic pup who loves long walks and playtime, giving extra patience and gentle care to senior pets, or making sure independent cats feel comfortable and cared for, I tailor my approach to each pet’s unique needs. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free experience so your pets feel happy and at home while you’re away. My schedule is pretty flexible. I mostly work in the afternoon and evenings so my mornings are mostly free. I am happy to pop by after work to check in and take care of your animals I believe every pet is happiest when they can stick to their normal routine, so I do my best to provide consistent, personalized care. In a client’s home, I follow their pet’s usual schedule for meals, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medications (if needed), and bedtime while making sure they receive plenty of love and attention. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can have peace of mind while they’re away. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where they receive lots of attention, exercise, and affection. I always make sure pets have fresh water, regular potty breaks, enrichment through play and mental stimulation, and a cozy place to relax. My priority is making every pet feel safe, loved, and treated like part of the family.

“I hired Renee to care for my kitties while I have been away. She stayed just as long as I asked her to and sent me plenty of videos while playing with my cats and kitten. They were definitely happy to see her and I will be booking her again! She has a genuine passion for animals :)”

“Amy was great with Jaxx. She gave him his medicine and fed him his breakfast and his dinner. Amy took him for walks and sent me pictures of him. She messaged me when she was with Jaxx and gave me updates on him. I would use Amy agin and recomend her!! She was great!!”

“This is who you want taking care of your pets. Dependable and takes his time giving them some company while you’re away. Sends you several pics of them so you can check in. Will definitely be booking Gerard again.”

“Taylor was a fantastic help with our two cats while we were away. I get a little nervous when we are out of town because one of the cats needs medication, but Taylor's photos and messages left me reassured that everything was going well. She was very prompt in replying to my messages, and even went out of her way to help us with a mailbox problem that came up! I would definitely ask her to take care of our pets again.”
About: Hi, I'm Nikki! I'm new to Rover but I've helped care for animals for many years. I've worked for a dog walking company and it was one of the best jobs I've had in my life. Being out, exploring, and getting exercise was fun for both me and the dogs on my route. I'd give reports and take photos of all our outings. From there, I worked at an animal hospital assisting vet techs and doctors by walking, feeding and holding the animals for their treatments. I learned so much, especially about having patience and compassion for animals that are sick and scared. I gained a lot of knowledge about safe animal handling and body language. I've also completed Fear Free training! I have adopted a pretty quirky Beagle/Boston terrier mix about 10 yrs ago and he's kept me busy ever since. He's very smart and active. A lot of understanding and keeping him busy have helped him come such a long way. It's been so rewarding to see! Are you looking to get your pets out and about while you're at work? I'm available weekdays from the morning until early evening. I'm available for a Saturday morning stroll as well! I would care for your pet as you request. Whether it be a neighborhood walk, a fenced in yard, or a path nearby, I look forward to doing what your pet enjoys! I always have safety in mind, so your pet would always be under supervision and leashed in my care.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Lincoln
Delaney did an amazing job with our cats. They can a little timid with new people but they quickly warmed up to her. We have one that requires different medication at different times and she handled the schedule easily.. She even played with them for a bit and of course sent pics. The boxes were taken care of and asked questions if needed. We really appreciate all the time and care she showed them. We hope to work with her again. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lincoln. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
