“Penny had such a wonderful time with Denise! We were so grateful to know she was comfortable while we were away. Denise was very responsive and kept us updated on how Penny was doing. She’s excited to hopefully see Denise again soon!!”

“Annmarie is super communicative and easy to work with. I booked a three night stay at her house. About an hour after dropping my dog, I got an update on how he was settling in, along with pictures! It put my Mom-dog brain at ease. Every morning thereafter I got daily updates and pictures. And if I needed to message Annmarie, she was very responsive. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. Thank you Annmarie!”

“Simone is awesome! My dog Winnie had an awesome overnight and I’m pretty sure it’s her new favorite place. Simone did a great job of keeping me updated with photos and videos and I always knew my little one was in good hands. You can tell Simone really cares about her pups. Winnie is looking forward to her vacation with Simone next month!!”

“Jay & Faith were wonderful. I was grateful to receive regular updates and photos of my pup throughout her stay, and they made me feel confident that she was safe and loved while I was away.”

“I felt so good leaving my little girl with Anely as I was sent daily updates and pictures which put us at ease! Would definitely book again, thank you so much!”

“Karen is a very professional pet sitter! She was understanding and kind and kept me updated with my pup during the entire stay. I will book with her every time! Thank you”

“Enid kept me updated on how my dog was doing throughout her stay. This was important to me particularly because my dog is an anxious, reactive dog, and she did great with Enid. Would definitely recommend and will be booking again :)”

“Dogs came home happy and well balanced! Clearly they had been well cared for and given the proper amount of exercise. Kexin and Carlos sent lots of pictures and videos giving me a lot of confidence and comfort in knowing that selecting them was the right choice! My dogs loved their large, fenced in backyard! My 2 dogs got along beautifully with their dog and cats. They even added some healthy supplements to my dogs’ food that they add to their dog’s food! Will be using them again soon!”

About: Hi, I’m Marilyn! I have been caring for animals since I was 12 years old, starting with my neighbors' cats and expanding to dogs as I gained experience. Medication & Special Care Experience With my nursing training and years of pet ownership, I am very comfortable managing special health needs. I am experienced in administering: Oral Medications (I’m a pro at using pill pockets, cheese, or whatever trick your pet prefers!) Topical Treatments Ear Drops Meet My Pack: We are a pet-loving household! When you book with me, your pet will be sharing space with my sweet fur-family. My French Bulldog: He is an 8-year-old Frenchie who is incredibly laid-back and absolutely wonderful with kids and other animals. My Two Cats: Nemo and Milo. They are energetic, sweet kittens (born in October and November 2025) who are well-adjusted to a busy, animal-friendly home. Home Environment & Boarding Accommodations I want your pet to feel as safe and comfortable as they do in their own home. My house is fully equipped for secure, happy stays: Fenced-In Yard: Perfect for safe, supervised playtime and quick potty breaks. Finished Basement with Baby Gates: I have a spacious, finished basement that is perfect for giving pets their own dedicated zone. If your pet isn't fully comfortable around cats, I can easily keep them separated using baby gates. Crate-Friendly: If your dog prefers to sleep in a crate or is crated for safety when unsupervised, I am happy to utilize a crate according to your exact preferences. Whether your pet needs active playtime in the yard, quiet companionship while I study, or precise medication schedules, I am here to treat them like a member of my own family. I can't wait to meet your pup or kitty! As a stay-at-home mom and part-time nursing student, nurturing and safety are second nature to me. My nursing classes only take up 2 days of my week, leaving me with wide-open availability to care for your pet the rest of the time. Because I am home so much, I can cater to all of their needs—from high-energy play sessions to specialized care routines. You can enjoy your time away with peace of mind, knowing your pet is in attentive, loving hands! My goal is to provide a "home away from home" that mirrors the safety and structure they have at your house. Home & Environment: Secure Yard: Large, fenced-in area for supervised outdoor time. Hydration: Constant access to filtered, fresh water. Socialization: My two young sons, our friendly 8-year-old Frenchie, and two cats make for a social environment, but we can easily accommodate dogs who need their own space. Crate Ready: I can utilize your pup’s crate for sleeping or breaks to maintain their existing training and comfort. My Promise: I am highly detail-oriented and will follow your specific instructions regarding feeding, exercise, and behavior to the letter. Your pet’s safety and your trust are my primary concerns.
“Lisa was great. Our sweet but nervous pup settled in quickly and seemed to feel comfortable and happy. Lisa was very accommodating to our schedule and attentive to my dogs needs pertaining to her anxiety. We received frequent updates and photos. Her home provided plenty of soft comfy landing spots for your pup and a beautiful fenced yard that my dog loved. She was great with communication and we will definitely use Lisa again”

“Misael was great for our big dog Dozer. Super friendly. Willing to do w.e it takes to make sure everything works out. Dozer is not an easy dog to watch and misael knew exactly how to handle dozer which is saying alot for a 74 pound sheepadoodle who has massive separation anxiety. Now im confident knowing if we have to have him watched again for a trip Misael will be my first and only choice. If you have a big dog that's hard to handle he's your guy! Thank you so very much for going out of your way for us and Dozer.”

“Kat was very responsive, took great care of my rambunctious golden retriever. She and her husband are very warm folks who treat your dog like their own. Will definitely be having Quay over to their place again!”

“Sonia was wonderful watching my pup! She was extremely attentive with Bruno who is very much go-go-go and sometimes hard to keep up with. She sent daily updates including photos and videos. The fenced in yard was a blessing for Bruno who is obsessed with running around. Will be using Sonia again next time I travel.”

“Jenna and Micheal were phenomenal! They took great care of my Mia! She had a built-in playmate with their dog Chase…Jenna and Mike sent photos and videos of the dogs playing, Mia had the biggest smile, I could tell she was happy! Great communication and very accommodating, I can’t say enough good things about them! I am definitely going to use them again as I’m sure Mia would love it!”

About: Hi! I'm Lynn, and caring for dogs has been one of the greatest joys of my life for more than 30 years. I've had the privilege of raising and caring for four incredible dogs, each of whom I lovingly called my "kids." They weren't just pets—they were cherished members of our family. Through every stage of life, from playful puppies to their senior years, I was there to provide them with the love, patience, and care they deserved. One of my beloved dogs, Gigi, developed diabetes later in life, which required daily insulin injections and eventually led to blindness. Caring for her taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and providing extra comfort to dogs with medical needs. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, especially when they require medication or specialized care, and I take that responsibility very seriously. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing in the yard, cuddling on the couch, or simply having someone nearby, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I carefully follow every instruction you provide, including feeding schedules, medication administration, dietary needs, exercise routines, and any special preferences that help your pet feel at home. My home features a secure, fenced-in yard with both grassy and paved areas, giving dogs plenty of safe space to explore, play, and enjoy the outdoors. I also know how important peace of mind is for pet parents. You'll receive regular photo and video updates, along with messages letting you know how your furry family member is doing, so you can relax knowing they're in caring hands. My goal is simple: to love and care for your dog the same way I cared for my own—with patience, kindness, compassion, and lots of hugs, kisses, belly rubs, and affection. When your pet is with me, they'll be treated like family. During the week, I work Monday through Thursday outside of the home and typically return by 5:30 PM. If you're comfortable with your dog being home during those hours, I'll make sure they're well cared for before I leave and as soon as I return, with plenty of love, attention, exercise, and playtime throughout the evening. On Fridays, I work from home, allowing me to provide more frequent companionship and care throughout the day. I'm also fully available on weekends and enjoy spending quality time with the dogs in my care. I believe open communication is important, so I'm always happy to discuss your pet's routine and determine whether my schedule is the right fit for their individual needs. My goal is to ensure both you and your pet feel comfortable, confident, and cared for. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my highest priorities. I understand that every dog has their own routine, personality, and needs, and I'm committed to following the care instructions you provide so they feel as comfortable as possible while they're with me. My home offers a secure, fenced-in yard with both grassy and paved areas where dogs can safely play, explore, and enjoy supervised outdoor time. Inside, they'll have a calm, clean, and welcoming environment where they'll be treated like part of the family. I'm happy to accommodate your preferences when it comes to your pet's routine. If your dog is crate-trained or you're more comfortable having them in a crate or exercise pen during certain times, I'm more than happy to follow that routine. Likewise, if your pet is used to having free roam of the home, I'm happy to discuss that as well. My goal is to maintain the routine they're familiar with to help reduce stress and make them feel at home. I'll also keep you connected with regular photo and video updates so you can see how your pet is doing and enjoy peace of mind while you're away. I know how much our pets mean to us because I've always considered mine to be family, and I'll care for yours with the same love, patience, and respect I'd want for my own.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lincoln
Alyssa was the first time I ever hired a pet sitter 😊. I was super impressed!! Willow is a rescue we only had about a month, so we were concerned about having her get nervous and anxious in a new environment and away from us. Alyssa kept us updated on my Willow's stay - pictures and prose. We were so relieved to see Willow getting along so well with Alyssa. Willow came back content, and we were so happy to have found Alyssa!! Your pets will be so lucky to have Alyssa care for them; do not hesitate in the least. You will see for yourself what a loving and codependent care she gives them !

Amy is the best!! She has now watched Cooper in her home on two separate weekends. We did a “meet and greet” between Cooper and her two dogs prior to Coop’s first stay and after all the good boys settled down we knew this was the place for Cooper. We know he gets lots of attention because Amy takes one dog at a time. She is very interested in what your dog likes/does not like and daily routines, so she can give your furry baby the best possible “home away from home” experience. I would highly recommend!!

Kaitlyn watched our sweet pup for a week. Shortly before we left for vacation, he unexpectedly had some health issues that required medication and extra loving. As a fur-mom, I was concerned about leaving him but Kaitlyn was wonderful! She was able to get him to take his meds and gave him lots of attention. She sent daily photos and updates and I could tell he was getting lots of love and felt right at home. I’m thankful to have found Kaitlyn and would definitely recommend her to take good care of your dog too.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in RI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
