“Stacy took great care of our dog for 10 days while we were out of the country. Being far away from a much loved pet can be tough. But we had no concerns because we knew she was in good hands. When we went to pick up our pup was super happy and obviously enjoyed her time with Stacy in a very dog friendly environment.”

“Very nice hosts. They obviously love animals and made Josie apart of their family. Chris sent lots of videos and photos. My dog, Josie seemed to have a very enjoyable stay. Very convenient location off of I495 in Franklin when traveling to the Cape.”

“Rafael was incredible with our 14 year old beagle. We are very particular on who we leave our dog with and we felt great about leaving her with Rafael. His home is clean and safe. Such a nice and caring guy. He made the cutest report card for our dog. Sammy will definitely be visiting again when we go away.”

“Annmarie is super communicative and easy to work with. I booked a three night stay at her house. About an hour after dropping my dog, I got an update on how he was settling in, along with pictures! It put my Mom-dog brain at ease. Every morning thereafter I got daily updates and pictures. And if I needed to message Annmarie, she was very responsive. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. Thank you Annmarie!”

“Sarah is an amazing cat sitter! She is very loving and caring and my cats adore her! She send the most beautiful pictures and videos everyday which makes so happy. Thank you so much Sarah!”

“My puppy Luna literally did not want to leave. Not only are Nicole’s dogs friendly, her family is wonderful. My dog felt at home and appeared to make new friends.”

“Alexandra was great to communicate with and her home and yard were perfect for my dog. She was friendly and shared photos of my very happy dog during his stay. We will definitely use Joseph and Alexandra again!”

“Megan was great! We came from out of town for an extended stay, and wanted to take a one day excursion without our dog Bentley. Even knowing it was likely to be a one-time dog-sitting opportunity - or at least very occasional - Megan was very responsive, arranged a meeting with her dog in advance, and when the day came, the two dogs and Megan all got along great! Bentley seemed happy to see us but reluctant to leave when we picked him up! And we got a lot of feedback and pictures during both days of his one-night stay. If the opportunity comes up again, we'll definitely turn to Megan again, too!”

“Devon was GREAT! My pup Milo stayed with Devon for a little over a week. He came back calm and happy. She also gave me some good tips & suggestions! Will definitely be booking Devon again in the future. Had a great experience. ♡”

“We had an amazing experience with our Laura ! This was the first time we had ever left our dog, with someone else, and he was understandably very anxious. She went above and beyond to make him feel calm, safe, and comfortable throughout his stay. She paid close attention to his food habits, followed his regular sleeping schedule, and genuinely cared about making the transition as stress-free as possible for him. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands. She is kind, patient, and truly loves animals. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Cookie!”

“Leaving our dog Winnie with Cierra was one of the easiest Rover experiences we have had! Winnie seemed right at home from our first meeting! Loved getting pictures of our dog while away travelling! Easy recommendation.”

“Julie was amazing! I was a little worried at first to leave my puppy using Rover but this was a great experience! Julie sent text and picture updates and was really reassuring!”
“Lloyd always loves his stays with Nick. He comes back super tired from playing with Ripley and Mose and whoever else might be staying. Nick is always great about drop off and pick up and sends tons of pictures.”

“What a fantastic pet sitter! She sent updates and pics during our time away assuring us that Yoshi was doing great. She even gave us a goody bag when we picked Yoshi up. We will definitely be using Alyssa again!”

“Outstanding caregiver for our dog. Maribel was so nice and she really helped us out in a pinch and could not be happier that we found her. Daily pics and videos and very responsive with any questions we had and had an obvious love of dogs. Will definitely be a repeat customer.”

About: My wife and I have cared for and trained all of our dogs in a resposible loving manner that others have always noticed when meeting our dogs. My wife works from home and is always attentive to our dogs needs and I am home every day around 3pm to help take care. We have a large fenced in back yard with a large dog door that leads right into the yard for your pet to come and go as they please. Also we live in a neighborhood that is great for dog walking to change up the scenery and keep dogs engaged and stimulated.
“Jenna and Michael took great care of Rosie and she had a blast playing with Chase. We loved and appreciated the updates and videos. We would definitely reach out to them for Rosie again if we’re ever in the area. Highly recommend!”

This was my first time using both Rover and Angelisa. I selected her based on her past reviews and proximity to me. She was a true gem. My Stevie was well loved during her staycation. Angelisa sent daily texts and photos. I will absolutely use her again the next time I’m in the area visiting my son.

Simone is a great Sitter for our dog Charlie. She sends videos and photos two or three times a day showing him running around the fenced in yard and playing with her dog Emma. We feel very comfortable going on vacation and knowing that Charlie is going to have the CARE that Simone gives him. We highly recommend her.

Wow! Nancy is the best…Cooper (our part dog/part human labradoodle) had a great meet & greet and then felt right at home a couple weeks later when he stayed at “Camp Nancy.” We got several daily pics where Coop looked so at home. It is clear that Nancy is a total dog person and knows how to cater to just what your pet needs. Daily walks thru her neighborhood made Cooper happy. I would definitely recommend Nancy. Really, really incredible Rover sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in RI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
