“Very nice hosts. They obviously love animals and made Josie apart of their family. Chris sent lots of videos and photos. My dog, Josie seemed to have a very enjoyable stay. Very convenient location off of I495 in Franklin when traveling to the Cape.”

“Marcia and her husband were wonderful with my golden retriever Theo. I got lots of updates and he got lots of cuddles, walks, and playtime. He came home happy and tired - thank you!!”

“Nancy was wonderful in watching our dog Cooper. She sent us daily notes and photos in how he was doing and what he was up to. It was also great that her town has a fenced dog park where she could let him off leash so he could run around, which was great given he is a young, high energy dog. She cared for him just as we do which of course is just what we would want. We will definitely be calling on her again in the future!!”

“Thank you, Karen, for taking such good care of Marley! You are so easy to work with and flexible with scheduling. The accommodations were so “ homey” it was like she was in her own home. She enjoyed Guinness, your dog, it’s good she had another dog to play with. Thank you, again!!”

“My dog came back to me happy, well cared for, and very tired after all the fun he had at Brandon’s house! Brandon was extremely communicative, understanding of my dog’s behavioral and medical needs, and very flexible with my changing schedule. He sent plenty of pictures to help soothe my separation anxiety. I’ll definitely use Brandon again!”

“Sunny had such a wonderful time with Nick - he stayed in touch and updated us with all sorts of details. He was willing to give her the medication she needed during her stay. We're so grateful to have found Nick and will definitely hire him again! Highly recommend!”

“What can I say? Maribel was AWESOME!!!! I left my dog for the first time and I was very nervous, especially since my Buddy goes everywhere with me. I work in a dog friendly office and he has been with me every day since he was a pup (now 2.5 years old.) Although Buddy, was very apprehensive at first, Maribel was very patient and found another one of her clients dogs to socialize with and to become comfortable. She sent lots of pictures and videos which made me feel really good that Buddy was happy. Buddy was so happy when I picked him up he jumped and kissed me and then he must have known we were leaving so he jumped up and kissed Maribel too. I have to say I was jealous because I wanted all his kissing and attention after 9 days however I was thrilled that Buddy loved her too!! I would highly recommend Maribel and I will definitely use her services again.”

“Amy and Ryan are wonderful and so accommodating. They're able to keep constant care of our little guy Gersh, and give us the confidence we want that he'll be okay when we need to be away. Our flight home was recently delayed and with our work schedules the following day it could've been an issue, but we thankfully didn't need to worry. They immediately let us know it wouldn't be a problem at all, and were so understandable and easy to coordinate with. We're happy to have found them, and so is Gersh! Thank you!”

“They were absolutely amazing and so quick to respond whenever we had a question. Thank you so much for watching our little guy! Would highly recommend ⭐️”

“I cannot say enough good things about Emily! She was incredibly accommodating for a last minute request and is an absolute sweetheart. I will definitely be using Emily in the future and recommend you do too- your pets will be in the best hands :)”

“Alyssa was the first time I ever hired a pet sitter 😊. I was super impressed!! Willow is a rescue we only had about a month, so we were concerned about having her get nervous and anxious in a new environment and away from us. Alyssa kept us updated on my Willow's stay - pictures and prose. We were so relieved to see Willow getting along so well with Alyssa. Willow came back content, and we were so happy to have found Alyssa!! Your pets will be so lucky to have Alyssa care for them; do not hesitate in the least. You will see for yourself what a loving and codependent care she gives them !”

“Annmarie was great and took wonderful care of our pup! Our dog loved her yard and being able to play with so many other dogs. Annmarie was easy to work with and communicated well. Would definitely use her again!”

About: I worked at a dog daycare taking care of a bunch dogs at once as well as did overnight dog sitting for friends. I have fostered dogs and adopted a senior dog for hospice care to give her the best end of life she could have. I currently work a part time job, most of my hours being at the end of the week. I can care for your pet Monday thru Friday, mornings, afternoons or evenings. I have a small fenced in yard for your pet and I love to take walks. If your dog likes other animals I can take them to a dog park or they can relax with my two cats. If in your home then I will care for them however you need me to. I thrive on routine so I like to be consistent in their needs.
“Megan was great! We came from out of town for an extended stay, and wanted to take a one day excursion without our dog Bentley. Even knowing it was likely to be a one-time dog-sitting opportunity - or at least very occasional - Megan was very responsive, arranged a meeting with her dog in advance, and when the day came, the two dogs and Megan all got along great! Bentley seemed happy to see us but reluctant to leave when we picked him up! And we got a lot of feedback and pictures during both days of his one-night stay. If the opportunity comes up again, we'll definitely turn to Megan again, too!”

“Another perfect stay with Sarah. Sarah always provides lots of photos and updates everyday. She and Rex took great care of Cooper and Black. We look forward to booking with Sarah again!”

“Elise offered amazing care to our dog while we were out of the country. Multiple daily updates and pictures were sent and reassured us we had one pampered puppy back home. Apollo was super happy and we are thrilled to have found Elise. Our labradoodle is the sweetest guy, but highly anxious. Elise did great with him and he loved her instantly upon our meet and greet. Elise is reliable, kind, compassionate and clearly loved our pup. She is wonderful and we are looking forward to using her again in the future for any boarding/petsitting needs! Highest of recommendations!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Blackstone
My dog has Addison's disease. I was in Europe for 18 days and my Kashmir seemed like he might be having a crisis. Misael was SUPER communicative keeping me updated on exactly how Kash was doing. He coordinated with my son who I asked to go get him and take him to the vet and kept me in the loop while encouraging me to enjoy my trip. He checked in to see how Kash was doing when I got him home. If you have a dog with a medical condition, I would not hesitate to leave your baby with Misael. He is caring and treats your animals like his own.

Warning- your dog may not want to come home. Our dog had such a great time with Kexin and Carlos. She did indeed want to come home with us, but I'm not sure why. Kexin and Carlos are animal people through and through. They were also ready to communicate with and very gracious about our chaotic schedule (traveling with two small kids by car makes for an unpredictable driving time).

This was my first time using both Rover and Angelisa. I selected her based on her past reviews and proximity to me. She was a true gem. My Stevie was well loved during her staycation. Angelisa sent daily texts and photos. I will absolutely use her again the next time I’m in the area visiting my son.

So they say everything happens for a reason and boy is it true in this instance! After our previous Rover sitter canceled on us after we had confirmed the week with her we were in a bit of a panic…and then I found Haley!! And we are so incredibly thankful that we did!! She and her amazing family took such great care of my dad’s dog Rocco, she sent lots of pictures and updates and there wasn’t one time on our vacation that we felt nervous or worried about him. He looked like he had such a fun time (my dad was almost afraid he wouldn’t want to leave lol) as we were leaving her young daughter said “bye King Rocco” 🥰 Thank you so much Haley and family!!

Bethany is amazing! This is the second time we’ve trusted her to watch Amaya, and she always keeps us updated with plenty of pictures. You can genuinely tell how much she cares about our girl, which gives us so much peace of mind. We highly recommend her and will definitely be booking with her again!

Wow! Nancy is the best…Cooper (our part dog/part human labradoodle) had a great meet & greet and then felt right at home a couple weeks later when he stayed at “Camp Nancy.” We got several daily pics where Coop looked so at home. It is clear that Nancy is a total dog person and knows how to cater to just what your pet needs. Daily walks thru her neighborhood made Cooper happy. I would definitely recommend Nancy. Really, really incredible Rover sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
