“Anthony and Zanely took such good care of our dog while we were away. They kept us updated, took her on adventures, and spent quality time with her. Would definitely recommend them!”

“Dobbs is family to me, so finding someone I trust isn't easy. Melissa exceeded every expectation. From the moment I dropped him off until I picked him up, she kept me updated with photos and messages that showed him happy, comfortable, and having a wonderful time. Seeing him playing, relaxing, and making new friends made it clear he wasn't just being watched—he was being cared for and loved. Knowing he was in such good hands allowed me to enjoy my trip without worrying. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Melissa, for treating my boy like one of your own. We'll definitely be back.”

“Enid was great with our dogs! She made them feel right at home and kept us updated with pictures and videos! Highly recommend and will for sure be using her to watch our pups again!”

“Peggy and her family were outstanding Rover hosts! They made me feel so comfortable leaving my dog for the weekend and welcomed her right into their home. Thanks again!”

“Thank you, Karen, for taking such good care of Marley! You are so easy to work with and flexible with scheduling. The accommodations were so “ homey” it was like she was in her own home. She enjoyed Guinness, your dog, it’s good she had another dog to play with. Thank you, again!!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats since I was 10 years old. Family members, friends, neighbors, etc. have always had pets and have relied on me to take care of them for periods of time. I work on a hybrid schedule, so I am home most Mondays, Fridays - Sundays all day. When I am in the City working I have breaks where I can walk dogs that are close by as well. I don’t have any pets in my home, I live with my fiance who has grown up owning multiple dogs at a time. We have no children in the home either. We live in a townhouse with a front and back yard.
“We love that we found a new sitter and bonus that she’s so close to us! She was great with communication and sent me photos. Would definitely have Kona come back!”
“Katy was great! she was very flexible and answered right away. Josie had a great time staying with her and a lot of fun with the other dogs there. She got to do her favorite thing, a hike! Thank you Katy! WE’ll definitely ask you to take care of Josie again!”

“Our pup has had several overnight stays including last one for 10 days. He is very happy to be there! (Also, Alex was very accommodating with a schedule change which was awesome!)”

“If Indy could talk, he would tell me that he loves spending time at Raphael’s house!! Raphael is it perfect match for Indy and his energy! I’d have Indie stay with him anytime!!”

“Megan was great! We came from out of town for an extended stay, and wanted to take a one day excursion without our dog Bentley. Even knowing it was likely to be a one-time dog-sitting opportunity - or at least very occasional - Megan was very responsive, arranged a meeting with her dog in advance, and when the day came, the two dogs and Megan all got along great! Bentley seemed happy to see us but reluctant to leave when we picked him up! And we got a lot of feedback and pictures during both days of his one-night stay. If the opportunity comes up again, we'll definitely turn to Megan again, too!”

“Kara was amazing! Our dog clearly enjoyed her time with Kara and her family, and was taken such good care of and loved on. We would absolutely ask for Kara to take care of our dog again.”

“Devon was wonderful! We are so appreciative that she was able to watch our Finola while we were away for New Years. Devon sent us pictures and updates on how Finola was enjoying her time with her new other doggie friends. Though we missed her, we knew she had a wonderful time on her staycation. She had so much fun that she almost didn’t want to leave! Devon was a great host for our Finn and we would highly recommend her to anyone else looking for a sitter.”

“Our 10 month old golden retriever had a great time staying with Dina. She was able to accommodate us last minute. She was wonderful with him! Her communication was much appreciated during our time away. We will 100% be using Dina in the near future.”

About: I worked at a dog daycare taking care of a bunch dogs at once as well as did overnight dog sitting for friends. I have fostered dogs and adopted a senior dog for hospice care to give her the best end of life she could have. I currently work a part time job, most of my hours being at the end of the week. I can care for your pet Monday thru Friday, mornings, afternoons or evenings. I have a small fenced in yard for your pet and I love to take walks. If your dog likes other animals I can take them to a dog park or they can relax with my two cats. If in your home then I will care for them however you need me to. I thrive on routine so I like to be consistent in their needs.
“Sarah is an excellent communicator and very careful. We had a meet and greet within 24 hours of my request to book where she asked lots of questions to ensure Cooper’s stay would go smoothly. She sent photos and daily updates and was flexible with pickup. I will definitely rebook with Sarah.”

“What a fantastic pet sitter! She sent updates and pics during our time away assuring us that Yoshi was doing great. She even gave us a goody bag when we picked Yoshi up. We will definitely be using Alyssa again!”

We really appreciate Maribel taking Astro in on such short notice. She kept us updated every day with pictures and updates from their walks, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Astro looked so happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Maribel was also very accommodating when we needed to extend Astro’s stay. Her communication, flexibility, and care for Astro were greatly appreciated. We would absolutely recommend Maribel and would happily book with her again!

This was my first time using both Rover and Angelisa. I selected her based on her past reviews and proximity to me. She was a true gem. My Stevie was well loved during her staycation. Angelisa sent daily texts and photos. I will absolutely use her again the next time I’m in the area visiting my son.

Wow! Nancy is the best…Cooper (our part dog/part human labradoodle) had a great meet & greet and then felt right at home a couple weeks later when he stayed at “Camp Nancy.” We got several daily pics where Coop looked so at home. It is clear that Nancy is a total dog person and knows how to cater to just what your pet needs. Daily walks thru her neighborhood made Cooper happy. I would definitely recommend Nancy. Really, really incredible Rover sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
