So I selected Heather bc of her vet tech background and her “no-fear” technique training. Heather did an overnight stay to start build rapport for an upcoming longer vacation. Much to my surprise, both cats took to Heather right away. Her fear reduction techniques worked well. I could not believe the chummy photos she was sending me on her first stay! Also there was an unexpected wrinkle in my cat’s normal regimen, and Heather handled it as I would have if I were home. I could rest easy. I also like how she confirms and repeats back instructions related to my complicated cat, bc the wrong move could set off a chain reaction of unpleasantries. I look forward to hiring her again for the vacation.”

All dogs who stay in our home must be well socialized, healthy (i.e. not sick with any contagious diseases that could be passed onto humans or other dogs) and up to date on their vaccines and flea/tick preventatives. I love going for walks with dogs, playing with cats and dogs, and cuddling! Dog Walking - I am available for one walk per day during the week. Sitting at your home - I will come to your home and spend time with your pets. Whatever their favorite things are that will make them comfortable and happy, I am willing to do! I will feed, administer medications, walk, play outside, change litter boxes, etc. I work as a full-time teacher nearby, but I have the summers off! I can also stop in for pet visits after work! I am available on weekends. I have experience crating dogs, as I crate my own dog. I can let the dogs outside in a fenced in area or walk them around the yard, whatever is best and safest for your fur baby!

Currently I work at a privately owned specialty hospital and I absolutely love what I do! I have advanced experience handling difficult and/or shy dogs and cats including administering all types of medications including injectable, SQ fluids, and by mouth (pills/liquids). A more specific availability schedule than Rover can provide: I work Monday-Friday and have Saturday-Sunday off. It is common that work may keep me later than expected and it is possible that I will be away from the house close to 10 hours. For boarding at my home, I am available anytime, as long as you are aware of the long work hours that can happen! Thank you for understanding my crazy schedule! Please contact me with any questions! Due to my long work days, 10 hours possibly, I would take advantage of the hours before and after work to make sure they are well taken care of and feel the love and affection that they need! On my days off, I will take extra time to spend as much time as possible with them so they do not feel worried or lonely! Reality, Lizzie, my English Toy could have chewed anything at their house or mine. She likes to eat slippers or plastic caps (I didn’t think to warn them about the plastic, just shoes or slippers). She let them stay away from bigger dogs & cuddle with her kids :) It was the 1st time I left my rescues in over 4 yrs. I appreciate her caring thoughtfulness. I also hope Lizzie didn’t eat her daughter’s Barbie or Barbie purses! I’d definitely book again.”
