“We brought our Falco for daycare with Misael and we were so happy with the service!! Misael was super responsive and Falco seemed very happy to be there. Misael sent pictures and updates regularly. There was a nice yard and Falco was able to roam around to his heart’s content. Falco is a big boy and Misael and his family treated Falco like their own. We will be using his service again soon for overnight boarding and feel really comfortable with them. Thanks for making us feel like Falco is safe with you!!! Highly recommend!!”

“Angelisa is very nice and diligent. She takes good care of my Labrador puppy. He is always very happy and when I pick him up. She handles him well and her kids seem to be very sweet with him. Will definitely use again.”

“Enid was great! Sent me lots of pics and kept me updated and made me feel comfortable! She has a fenced in backyard and Kuna came back happy and healthy! She was very accommodating when I got stuck in traffic on the way back and I really appreciated that!!”

About: I’ve had the privilege of being a dog owner since the age of 13. Dogs are a part of my life and are so healing to the soul. I’ve had years of experience in loving and taking care of these fur babies. I do well with following instructions, being respectful, and creating a safe space & home for your pups. I would consider myself to be a great and responsible dog mom, sitter, and would love and take care of your dog like my own. I’m a stay at home mom and have the time to take care and play with your pups. I have space in my backyard for playtime and potty time and live in a beautiful neighborhood to go on walks for fresh air and exercise. My family spends a lot of time outside and so will your pup (weather permitting of course). I’m available during weekdays and weekends. My services include boarding and doggy day care. I have a backyard and beautiful deck to get plenty of playtime and sunshine. I also live right across the street from a large park that we can take trips to. I have a small and friendly dog to keep your fur baby company. I will keep your dog on a leash while outside and/or can close off the deck for a more secure area.

“Bethany is great with Odie. Odie enjoyed his day with her very much. He was a little nervous at first but he was quickly warmed up as he received many pats and attention. Bethany is so great with Odie giving him the attention he craves. I highly recommend Bethany. She is absolutely wonderful and Odie is going back for a second visit in a couple of weeks.”

“Super easy to communicate with. Helped us out in a pinch last minute, and was flexible with timing. Provided photos and Dodger seems to be all tuckered so he must have had fun :)”

About: I have had cats and dogs for over 6 years (with many more years of hamster experience) and my husband was raised with many pets since he was 3 years old (cats, dogs, chicken and even birds). We like being surrounded by fur babies! We have three kitties and one Golden Doodle that is eager to have fun with your dog (he is very gentle despite his large size). Both my husband and I work remotely so at least one of us will be at the house at all times. We will be able to take care of your pet’s needs! We have a fenced yard (with night lights!) with ample space for dogs to run and do their business. We have a fully-furnished basement where guests doggies can spend as much private time as they want, sleep on the bean bag, or look at the window to the outside! We have crates that are large and medium in case they are needed.
About: While I have several years of experience caring for both cats and dogs, my true specialty is feline care. That said, I’ve also house-sat for dogs of many sizes and temperaments. I currently own a small, quiet yorkie who gets along well with other animals, and I have a toddler who loves pets and has grown up socializing with all kinds of dogs. I’ve cared for: • Senior Labradoodle • Boston Terrier puppy • 11-month-old French Bulldog • Yorkies • 10-year-old Pomeranian/Jack Russell mix Although dog walking isn’t my main service, I am happy to offer morning or evening walks when needed. I own a car and can drive your pup to the park or vet. I’m also available for overnight stays—including holidays—and always make sure pets feel loved and comfortable in their own space. Requested Information About Your Pet: Please let me know if your dog has any special needs, dietary preferences, or a set routine. I personalize every visit based on what your pet prefers—whether that’s fewer walks or extra snuggles. I want your dog to feel at home while you’re away. My availability may shift depending on my work schedule—I do temporary work and occasionally Amazon Flex. That said, I’m very communicative and reliable once we confirm a booking. I typically take morning and afternoon visits, and the latest I can stay is around 6 PM. I have a 6-year-old son who has grown up around animals and absolutely loves them. He is gentle, curious, and respectful of pets’ boundaries. I tailor the environment to your pet’s comfort—whether that means quiet companionship or playful interaction. While I used to have a Yorkie, I now focus entirely on providing a calm, nurturing space for your pets.

“I highly recommend Andrea. She treats your dogs as if they were hers. Always willing to go above and beyond with any issues. Hank had an awesome first day at daycare and can't wait for his next visit. Paws Up for Andrea”

About: I have worked with many pets all my life. In addition to being a pet owner my entire life, I have over 2 years of professional experience working with cats, rabbits, some reptiles, and especially dogs, both in a personal setting, large group setting, and a kennel setting. I have experience caring for all dogs, from 6 months to adults, including older or injured/sick dogs. I can administer medication if needed, including eyedrops, eardrops, insulin, topical, and oral medication. I also have experience with overnight boarding in my house. I am off for the Summer so I have plenty of time to help take care of your pets. I am available entire weekends as well as most weekdays, through the day and overnight. I have two gentle young children who love to help whenever we're taking care of pets, as well as play with them. I am available to go to your home as well to take care of them one on one if preferred. When the pets are here, they have both somewhere to relax and rest, as well as jump around and play.
About: I'm a kindergarten teacher and a mom of two teens. We have a golden retriever and a lot of land! Dogs that visit us can run their hearts out. I can help people and families care for their dogs while they're on a vacation or away at work. Your dog will never want to leave our farm! I'm available most of the time! Summer months, holidays, and weekends are a popular time to board with us. During the school year, we're often busy with our own events or the kids' hockey and baseball games, but we try to be available as often as we can. Check your upcoming away plans and book me! I do my best to keep my Rover calendar updated. If you're not sure if we're available, don't hesitate to ask! Our home is on forty-three acres! We have no fenced yard, but we're very far from the road. Depending on your dogs' needs, I can walk on a leash and/or use our outdoor long cable. So far, all the dogs I've cared for have remained unleashed and always stay by me and close to the home. In addition, I'll take dozens of pictures of your pup because I just can't help myself. A dog sitter and a photographer? What's better than that!?
“Christopher, Ali, their kids, and their pups were great. They kept me updated throughout the day. They shared videos, photos, and updates throughout my puppy’s stay. I was super nervous but they made the experience great.”

“Our sweet pup had so much fun with Marie and her husband for the days we booked. So much more joy and excitement we haven't seen in her in the mornings getting ready to go for the day to her new friend's house and more still when she was ready to come home. Will only trust this couple with our baby.”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Woonsocket commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in RI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
