Our situation was a little unusual because my cats and I have been displaced from our home due to a mold issue, and one of my boys, Jack, had already been experiencing health symptoms. I was also leaving for a weekend, so this was my first time ever dropping my cats off with a sitter instead of having someone stay in my home. Needless to say, I was pretty anxious. From the very first meet-and-greet, Olivia immediately put me at ease. Her background as a veterinary technician was reassuring, but what truly stood out was how genuinely kind, compassionate, and attentive she is. She took the time to get to know each of my cats' unique personalities, routines, and little quirks. Both of my boys warmed up to her right away, which is saying a lot—especially Jack, who struggles with anxiety. While I was away, Olivia sent frequent updates, photos, and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was obvious they weren't just being cared for—they were genuinely loved. About: My husband and I both grew up with dogs and had the privilege of fostering several dogs while living in Rwanda for 2 years. This past May, we unexpectedly lost our beloved 11-year-old dog. She was so much more than a pet—she was truly a member of our family and had grown up alongside our children, ages 9 and 6. We’re not quite ready to fill the space she left behind, so we thought Rover might be a wonderful way to spend time with dogs again while giving another family peace of mind knowing their dog is being cared for and loved. Your dog is allowed on our furniture and has access to a large fenced in yard! Our dog was fear aggressive and we were unable to utilize a boarding facility. We can sympathize that leaving your dog can be difficult. We’ll treat them like one of our own—with lots of affection, patience, attention, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. Having fostered dogs with very different personalities and backgrounds, we know that every dog has their own needs, quirks, and way of showing love. We’d love to welcome your dog into our home and give them the same love and care we’ve always given our own. Note: For the comfort and safety of your pup, we only care for dogs from one family at a time. We’re happy to accommodate two dogs from the same family, but we do not mix dogs from different households during the same stay. I work in healthcare on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 PM–11:00 PM, and Saturdays I work a 12 hour shift and am home all other days. On the days I work, my husband is home by 2:30 PM, and he is home with our children on Saturdays. Our family does have occasional evening or weekend commitments for our children’s sports, but these are typically short outings, and we are rarely away from home for more than about four hours at a time. We’re happy to work with you to make sure your dog’s routine and needs fit comfortably into our schedule. Because I have a flexible schedule the majority of the week, I’m able to provide plenty of attention, companionship, walks, playtime, and breaks throughout the day. I’m also happy to accommodate a dog who needs more frequent potty breaks or simply prefers not to be alone for long periods (we've been there). We have a large fenced in yard where your dog can run to their heart's content. We live in a quiet, safe neighborhood and have the perfect mile walking loop. About: Hi! I have been pet sitting with my non-reactive pup Sylvie for a number of friend's cats and dogs since COVID (usually as a favor) in and out of the New England area. I work at an arts non-profit in PVD and can drive. I can pet-sit and do limited amounts of dog training. Right now I work in a dog-friendly place 10 minutes from my home and my partner is working from home. We like going on hikes and to the dog parks. I would not bring a client's pet to my workplace, but a pet would always have someone with them at all times or at least not be left alone for more than a few hours at a time. I am most flexible on weekends and for overnight care. I have a fenced yard, a crate, and multiple rooms in the home with pocket doors that can split a larger room into two if needed. Erin took great care of Lily during a four-night stay (and Lily’s first boarding in a good few years). Lily seemed comfortable and settled quickly, and Erin was very accommodating of her particular habits—including adjusting her schedule on the first day so Lily wouldn’t be left alone in an unfamiliar place, and being patient with her reluctance to go very far on walks when I’m away. I received photos and updates during the stay and came home to a happy, relaxed dog. Erin also very kindly brought Lily home at the end of the booking. I’d be very comfortable having Lily stay with her again.
Doris was just wonderful! My sweet Ellie is a senior and needed meds given at multiple times a day, and also needed gentle loving care. I was so worried to leave her! Sarah was amazing! My cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes and I would typically leave her at home alone. Unfortunately, due to this illness, she now needs care and I was nervous about the idea of leaving her home alone. Everything was perfect. Loki had a fantastic weekend with Veronica and Nick. I highly recommend them! They communicated well, sent lots of photos, and were very patient with my questions. Rebecca was fantastic!!!! We were in a very difficult spot when our regular sitter cancelled at the VERY last minute. Rebecca stepped up and took Tucker. She was very accommodating and worked with us to get a meet and greet set up and the times to get him there and pick him up. Rebecca sent us pictures and comments daily which really assured us since this was our first time with her. She had a small dog for Tucker to play with, and they got long great. There was also a great secured back yard for them to romp in. I would highly recommend booking a pet vacation with Rebecca. We thank her so much for rescuing us.
