“Nick (Adalberto) is the perfect person to care for dogs. He and his wife have a dog friendly home, and 2 dogs of their own that help make boarding dogs feel welcome. I adopted a 10yo cocker spaniel one month ago, and needed to go away for 5 nights for training. I was worried that Romeo would feel abandoned again when I left him. I shouldn't have worried. Nick and his wife welcomed Romeo into their home like he was one of their own! Their 2 dogs even acted like they were happy to see him! Nick sent lots of pictures, and Romeo looked really happy! I have a training follow-up next Tuesday and I'm so glad Nick can take care of Romeo again! He and his wife fed, watered, walked and played with Romeo. I'm so grateful and happy to know them as wonderful dog-loving people, and as a professional dog-care resource. I will call Nick every time Romeo needs a home away from home. She messaged frequently in the first 24 hours to keep us updated on how Mookie was settling in, and sent plenty of photos during the entire stay. We could tell from the photos that he was clearly comfortable in his home-away-from-home. He and Toby were great playmates in the fenced-in backyard, and he Devorat were fast friends, with plenty of couch cuddle-time. Knowing Mookie was well cared for really helped us enjoy our family trip. In addition to her care and attention to Mookie, Devorat also offered accommodation and flexibility in the drop-off and pick-up scheduling to make things as easy as possible for us as we nailed down our travel plans at the last minute. About: Experienced with small dogs (yorkie) to large dogs (German shepherds). Grew up having small dogs and now own bigger ones :) also have experience with cat sitting / drop ins. Experienced with prong collars & shock collars. I WFH so I am able to stay at your house with the pet and work from there if needed. I am an active gym goer so just need 2-3 hours to my myself each day for that. I can also pop in for visits during those days pretty easily and stop by for walks I make sure dogs get the exercise they need everyday so that they sleep well at night. Without proper walks throughout the day, dogs don’t get the stimulation they need!

About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

I work full time at home but have a very flexible schedule. I am usually up by 6 am and go to bed as late as 10 pm. About: I’m a lifelong dog person currently in Pawtucket, RI offering a cozy home, lots of walks, and a fully fenced yard. I grew up with dogs (poodle, terrier, and mostly pugs) and also shared a Brussels Griffon for several years, so I’m very comfortable with different sizes and personalities. I currently get most of my dog time by sitting for family and friends. I give preference to longer stays because it allows me to build a real bond with your dog and give them a more consistent routine. With more time together, they settle in and get more comfortable. If you’re planning a trip of several days or more, I’m an especially good fit. I work from home with a flexible schedule so can spend a good amount of time with your dog for walks and following their schedules. I have a fenced in yard to use in addition to walks. I don't have any rules about not being able to get on furniture (but if you do, will follow them of course).

About: I have several years of experience in dog sitting, house sitting, and dog walking. I have a yellow lab of my own, and nothing makes me happier than spending time with dogs and pets. I have had several pet service jobs in and around the towns I’ve lived in, and I’d be more than happy to provide references. I am both a responsible pet owner and a respectable pet lover. I have experience caring for dogs that require medication and attention, and I understand how important it is for you to feel comfortable about the person you are trusting with your pet. I have watched and taken care of dogs from the size of a Chihuahua to a very large Great Dane and Mastiff. I am very confident in my skills, and I hope to be given the opportunity to show you them as well. I am a full-time student, but my schedule is fairly open. I enjoy spending my time outside because my part-time job is inside, so I'd love to get out and walk dogs as often as possible! Additionally, my apartment does not allow for animals, so I’d love to be able to spend more time with furry friends! As a pet owner myself, the comfortability of your pet will be my highest priority. Though I am unable to care for your animals in my home, I will always be respectful of your space and ensure your animal’s safety and security at all times while in my care.

“Devorat is an absolute dream. She is truly the pet-parent that you want if you have to be away from your own pet. My dog Mookie stayed with Devorat for 5 days and nights on very short notice. She messaged frequently in the first 24 hours to keep us updated on how Mookie was settling in, and sent plenty of photos during the entire stay. We could tell from the photos that he was clearly comfortable in his home-away-from-home. He and Toby were great playmates in the fenced-in backyard, and he Devorat were fast friends, with plenty of couch cuddle-time. Knowing Mookie was well cared for really helped us enjoy our family trip. In addition to her care and attention to Mookie, Devorat also offered accommodation and flexibility in the drop-off and pick-up scheduling to make things as easy as possible for us as we nailed down our travel plans at the last minute. I really appreciated her communication throughout the visit, and I could tell from her updates that she was really taking time to get to know our dog, and that he was in the best possible hands. We already plan to book with Devorat again soon!”
