About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.
“Gunther loved hanging out at Courtney’s house with his new friend Lucy! They are great hosts. He came back exhausted and happy- we enthusiastically recommend them to anyone looking for a safe and friendly home-away-from-home for their canine companion.”
“It was the first time my dog stayed with a sitter. It was also the first time she was around other dogs. I could tell when we met Gary at the meet and greet everything would be fine. His years of experience with dogs helped Luna have a great first time away from home. He provided updates and pictures so I was relaxed knowing everything was going perfectly. I will definitely leave Luna, my golden retriever, with Gary again. He made Luna feel welcome and provided excellent care.”
“Anely was responsive, communicative and just really great! Anely was able to meet all our needs (we weren't sure how Charlie would do with other dogs), and Charlie had a great time.”

About: Hi! I'm Lynn, and caring for dogs has been one of the greatest joys of my life for more than 30 years. I've had the privilege of raising and caring for four incredible dogs, each of whom I lovingly called my "kids." They weren't just pets—they were cherished members of our family. Through every stage of life, from playful puppies to their senior years, I was there to provide them with the love, patience, and care they deserved. One of my beloved dogs, Gigi, developed diabetes later in life, which required daily insulin injections and eventually led to blindness. Caring for her taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and providing extra comfort to dogs with medical needs. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, especially when they require medication or specialized care, and I take that responsibility very seriously. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing in the yard, cuddling on the couch, or simply having someone nearby, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I carefully follow every instruction you provide, including feeding schedules, medication administration, dietary needs, exercise routines, and any special preferences that help your pet feel at home. My home features a secure, fenced-in yard with both grassy and paved areas, giving dogs plenty of safe space to explore, play, and enjoy the outdoors. I also know how important peace of mind is for pet parents. You'll receive regular photo and video updates, along with messages letting you know how your furry family member is doing, so you can relax knowing they're in caring hands. My goal is simple: to love and care for your dog the same way I cared for my own—with patience, kindness, compassion, and lots of hugs, kisses, belly rubs, and affection. When your pet is with me, they'll be treated like family. I currently have flexible availability throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends, which allows me to provide plenty of time, attention, and companionship to the pets in my care. Whether your dog enjoys playtime, outdoor time in the yard, leisurely walks, lots of cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I'm able to tailor my schedule around their individual routine and needs. I'm also available to provide regular potty breaks, meals, medication, and other care throughout the day as needed. I believe consistency and open communication are important, so I'm always happy to discuss your pet's normal routine, preferences, and any special requirements ahead of their stay. My goal is to keep their routine as familiar as possible and make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable, confident, and well cared for while they're with me. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my highest priorities. I understand that every dog has their own routine, personality, and needs, and I'm committed to following the care instructions you provide so they feel as comfortable as possible while they're with me. My home offers a secure, fenced-in yard with both grassy and paved areas where dogs can safely play, explore, and enjoy supervised outdoor time. Inside, they'll have a calm, clean, and welcoming environment where they'll be treated like part of the family. I'm happy to accommodate your preferences when it comes to your pet's routine. If your dog is crate-trained or you're more comfortable having them in a crate or exercise pen during certain times, I'm more than happy to follow that routine. Likewise, if your pet is used to having free roam of the home, I'm happy to discuss that as well. My goal is to maintain the routine they're familiar with to help reduce stress and make them feel at home. I'll also keep you connected with regular photo and video updates so you can see how your pet is doing and enjoy peace of mind while you're away. I know how much our pets mean to us because I've always considered mine to be family, and I'll care for yours with the same love, patience, and respect I'd want for my own.

About: My name is Sarah and I'm 33 years old. I took a little stint from Rover to focus on my professional career but I'm back and so excited to start petsitting again! Animals have been my life ever since I was young. I worked at a vet throughout high school and even started my own dog sitting company in Charleston, SC upon graduation from Virginia Tech - safe to say, I've always been obsessed with animals. I have experience with dogs and cats of all kinds and ages, including puppies, kittens, elderly dogs and cats, dogs those with disabilities, cats that require medication, etc. You name it, I've probably had to handle it in all my years of pet care. I love taking dogs on adventures - the beach, hiking trails, you name it. With 30 years under my belt, rest assured I will treat your fur babies like my own and give them the exercise and TLC they deserve while you are away! I'm currently working part-time, so my schedule is pretty open (including weekends). I'm available for house sitting, drop-in visits, and doggy day care (this includes walks, feeding, TLC, medication administration, etc.). I also offer overnight care, whether that be in your home or mine (whatever you and your pet prefer). This is a service I'm currently offering to private clients but am starting to extend to Rover. In my client's homes, I always let them take the lead with their comfortability and with their pet's normal routine. I want to make sure your pet hardly notices you are gone and that they are 100% comfortable and happy with someone in their environment. Whether that means crating them, walking them at specific times, having designated playtime. Again, I let the client take the lead on instructing me in those cases. When I bring a pet into my home, it's important that they get along with cats, as I have two who are very friendly and don't interact too much with my/client's dogs. Currently my Husky is staying with my mom in Virginia, so he will not be in the apartment. I want my space to feel as "homey" to them as possible, so whatever is needed to make that happen, I accommodate.
About: Hi! I’m Georga, a lifelong animal lover with over 8 years of experience. I’m also a full time graduate student who mostly works from home, so I have lots of time and attention to give to your pets. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I’m able to plan walks, drop in visits, and playtime throughout the day, and I enjoy breaking up my work with some pet cuddles. Overall, I will spend quality time giving attention, play, and enrichment so your pet can feel comfortable and cared for.

“Emily had 2 scheduled walks with my 2 dogs, Ellie and Gizmo . This is the third time we've booked with Emily, but this time we weren't around. We had an event to go and had to leave very early in the morning. It was great that we found a dog care taker that we can depend so that their regular schedule is not disrupted as much . She was very communicative through rover . She took pictures and wrote up short summaries . We have one dog that is super timid and likes to hide when new people coming into the house (8yr old aussie mix) and a 3yr border collie that's is a lovable high energy pup . She did wonderful with both. We appreciate your services Emily !”

She was so helpful so sweet. We definitely will use her again. I appreciated all the cute photos that she sent us of her. She spent a good amount of time with her during our wedding week and I just knew our pup was in great hands, which was one less thing for us to stress about.”
“Lisa took wonderful care of Barley! She sent regular updates with amazing photos and videos letting us know how he was doing. We had peace of mind knowing he was safe and so comfortable in her care.”
“Karen is very sweet and caring. She loves pups and treats them as their own. Our dog stayed with her while we were on vacation for a week and we were not worried at all. Her dog is gentile and very playful which our dog loved. They played together a lot and it was sad to take her away from him when we got home. We will definitely be rebooking!”
“Emilee was wonderful with Benji. I would definitely recommend her to anyone and will also use her again in the future. She was great with my fur baby and am so thankful to her!!”
“Casey, Phil and their dog Chloe were absolutely fantastic with Penny, our 6 month old golden retriever puppy, for a week long stay. They sent us daily pictures and updates about how Penny was doing which really took the stress out of leaving her for the first time. They were patient at our meet and greet ahead of her stay and made sure to answer any and all of our questions. Would highly recommend them and we will absolutely be using them again in the future!”
“Pea had her first sleep over with Faith and Jay and I was so happy to see just how comfortable she was in the space. So grateful for the accommodations for this ~very~ particular dog.”
