About: Hi, I'm Nikki! I'm new to Rover but I've helped care for animals for many years. I've worked for a dog walking company and it was one of the best jobs I've had in my life. Being out, exploring, and getting exercise was fun for both me and the dogs on my route. I'd give reports and take photos of all our outings. From there, I worked at an animal hospital assisting vet techs and doctors by walking, feeding and holding the animals for their treatments. About: I have taken care of cats on multiple occasions! I also have taken care of 2 to 3 cats on occasion. If your cat allows me, I love using the laser pointer to play or any other toys they like! I am always very meticulous with my cleaning of water and food bowls, and litter boxes. I will give treats to your cat as well!

About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

About: I grew up with dogs all my life but since moving to boston I haven't found a forever buddy so in the meanwhile I would love to take care of yours. I work full time at home but have a very flexible schedule. I am usually up by 6 am and go to bed as late as 10 pm. I usually take the doggies on a walk around 7-8 am then again around 12-2pm and then again in the evening 6-8pm. We had an event to go and had to leave very early in the morning. It was great that we found a dog care taker that we can depend so that their regular schedule is not disrupted as much . She was very communicative through rover . She took pictures and wrote up short summaries . We have one dog that is super timid and likes to hide when new people coming into the house (8yr old aussie mix) and a 3yr border collie that's is a lovable high energy pup . Treat animals like my own and frankly treat them more like kids considering single and child free lol. I am a senior retired from the post office and I am open to all hours. Would be great to get up and walk your pet.
