“Mia was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was very professional, sweet, patient and welcomed the long list of things to know about my dog! She was always in communication, always there when she said she would be, flexible, and did all of the things that made me feel comfortable with her taking care of my baby. I would absolutely highly, highly recommend Mia and will definitely be using her services again in the future! Thank you Mia and Rover!”

About: I have been dog sitting for friends on and off since I can remember and always grew up around animals. I love to stay active and move but also just sit and play and take care of dogs and cats. I always seem to know just the right spot to rub with all the cute adorable dogs which is all of them! I understand that they come in all sizes and all have different personalities and I can’t wait to meet them! Spending time with any animal never seems to disappoint me and will always bring a smile to my face with their beautiful tail wags and smiling. I have been walking dogs using Wag previous to this Currently part time working and looking for extra time with some new furry friends! I love spending time outdoors and do so on my own so having a buddy is always a nice touch. Safety is a big concern animals are basically like family and I understand that their safety is a priority. I always make sure they are handled with love and care and patience.
“Ellie dropped in the visit our hamster while we were on vacation. She is very detail oriented and responsible. Great communication. Highly recommend and we will definitely be using her again during future trips.”

About: Hi! I'm Rachel. I have been obsessed with dogs since I can remember! My first word was "doggy-oggy-oggy!" I have been dog walking and dog sitting for over 10 years and absolutely love helping other pet owners when they need it! I have worked with dogs of every age range, including senior to puppy. Right now I am looking to primarily dog walk to get more steps in and spend more time with pups! I can also do drop ins for those that need it. Thank you! I have a dog myself (he is more of a miniature horse) at 96 pounds! He is my best friend! I walk him twice a day, and would love to help out as many other dog parents who need walks for their dogs as well! I have a fenced in yard, if there is ever a need to bring your pet to my house and I have 2 crates as well. Ensuring a safe environment for your pup is my top priority.
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and grew up with my first dog, a Pit Bull and Chocolate Lab mix, who was with me from birth until I was 16. I helped care for her throughout her life and developed a really special bond with her. I also have a new dog who is mostly Pit Bull, and I take care of him regularly. I’ve also cared for friends dogs and currently walk a Golden Retriever multiple times a week throughout the summer. I’m comfortable with different personalities and love building a genuine connection with every dog I meet. I’m currently a student but have a pretty flexible schedule where I have much free time during the week and full availability on the weekends. I want every pet to feel safe and comfortable while they’re in my care. I follow each owner’s instructions and keep their normal routine as much as possible. I’m very attentive and make sure pets get the care, attention and love they need. I also treat every client’s home with the same respect I would want for my own.
About: I’ve taken care of pets as long as I can remember. I have worked up in Boston taking care of animals and for family and friends close to me. As well as working with the elderly caring for them in their homes for the past few years. I am very flexible and willing to work out anything you need to help you feel your pets are all cared for when you are not around :) looking forward hearing for you! I am currently going to focus on this as a main job for the summer so i am very flexible and available!! I am available all throughout the week morning -night whenever I am needed. I can stop by to feed, play and give potty break and nice walks with your babies! I am even more then happy to hangout for long period of time or stay over the night if needed!! I do not offer play dates or overnights at my own home only because of my dog is a recuse and does not do the best around other dogs. But I love my dog and cat more than anything and my home is full of nothing but overwhelming love for them and I wish to give you just the same for when i’m with your animals :)

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lincoln
Danielle promptly came to our house for 11. She took DJ outside, as much as needed. Danielle gave DJ her snack and kept her company. She sent pictures so we could view DJ and Danielle's interactions. Thank you so much! We are adopting another dog and we may need help again. If we do, I can count on Danielle to help.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
