“Noah was very attentive to our cat and to details of caring for him in our home. He was very communicative about our cat and seemed to genuinely bond with him. We would absolutely hire him again and highly recommend him!”

“Jayla did such an amazing job, sent tons of pictures which I loved, and perfectly followed my annoyingly specific instructions for 4 different cats that all have different requirements. She made me feel super comfortable with the whole experience. I would definitely recommend her, and plan to rebook in the future!”

“Cayla was great! She was prompt in her visits, made strides building trust with our skittish cats, and provided regular friendly communication and photos. We would definitely hire her again.”

“Justina was nothing short of exceptional with our babies! As a girl in her late 20s with older parents who were a bit on the fence using Rover, Justina came into the house with care and compassion and gave that same attitude with my girlies. She kept me in the loop with everything going on and made sure they were 100% taken care of while we were all out of town. I will absolutely be booking with her again!”

About: With over 3 years of full time overnight and long-term petsitting experience, I bring real expertise and a whole lot of love to caring for your pets. I grew up on a cattle ranch in Oregon, and animals have been part of my life ever since. I've gone on to care for pets all over the world through various sitting opportunities. I'm comfortable with dogs of different breeds, sizes and energy levels, and I enjoy getting to know each cat's particular quirks. I'm also experienced with senior pets, including administering medications, managing mobility issues, and keeping a close eye on any special needs they have. Over the years I've cared for horses, dogs, cats, and even shrimp, so whatever your pet's personality, your furry (or fin-y) family member will be in experienced, loving hands. I currently work from home full time Monday to Friday. I have a flexible work schedule and can organize my time around walks and overnight sits. I’m available for overnight sits or to drop by and walk and feed pets or check on them while you’re away. The comfort of pets and their owners is my top priority. I’m discreet, punctual and communicative.
“Annemarie took great care of our kitten and dog while we were away! She provided descriptive Rover cards with pics that gave us peace of mind that our furry friends were doing well at home. We would definitely recommend!”

“Jay and Faith were absolutely wonderful! Weasley loved all of the pets and scratches he got during their visits. The updates they sent were concise and clear and let me know my baby was getting the best care while I was away! Thank you both so much!”

“Absolutely amazing! Kenneth was on time and took care of my fur babies. My senior dog loved his drop ins for sure and the three walks a day. He made sure they had plenty of water and food. Cleaned the litter box too. Even played with Oreo the cat and his favorite string toy. Would definitely recommend to my friends and request him again if needed.”

About: I have two dogs of my own that I’ve had since puppy-hood. Ever since I was a kid, my heart would joyously melt in front of any and every four legged friend. I love getting to know other animals, and take care of them as if they were my own. I got my start pet sitting by looking after my friends and neighbors’ dogs and cats on occasion. At present, my longest cat sitting gig was 3 weeks straight in which I stayed with my fur friend for ~6-8 hours a day just to keep her company. I work remotely, so my workstation is mobile. In this was I can make most pet-sitting tasks and hours work— while assuring your pets have company, enrichment, and supervision. (As an aside, I go by both Vera and Amanda and use them interchangably) I work remotely 10am-6pm monday-friday. Ideally, i prefer to visit pets and take care of them anytime before 10am, but my calendar is very flexible. My workstation is mobile, so if desired, I can keep your pet company for extended periods of time during the day. I’m also available all day on the weeknds. I have 2 dogs that I love dearly and walk 2-3 times every single day at routine times. I brush them frequently, I strap on little booties for their paws daily to protect them from the hot pavement, and I play with them to their little hearts content.

About: Hi my name is Neriah and I'm a second year college student at CCRI. I've had dogs every since I was 6. I currently have one dog named Apollo. I also have 3 cats. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have pet sat for a family friend who has three dogs. During that time, I was responsible for feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and making sure they felt comfortable and safe while their owner was away. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I make it a priority to follow owners' instructions carefully. I am dependable, patient, and committed to providing pets with the attention, care, and affection they deserve. Whether your pet enjoys active playtime or simply needs companionship, I will treat them as if they were my own. Experience Includes: Daily feeding and fresh water Walks and exercise Potty breaks Playtime and companionship Caring for multiple pets at once Following specific schedules and routines Monitoring pets for safety and well-being Providing updates to owners I currently work part-time Friday through Monday, which gives me plenty of availability during the week to care for your pets. I am available for drop-in visits, walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship throughout the day on weekdays. On workdays, I can stop by before my shift in the morning and again after work in the evening to make sure your pets are well cared for and comfortable. I am committed to following your pet's routine and providing reliable, attentive care so you can have peace of mind while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow the care instructions provided by pet owners, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, medications (if needed), and any special requirements. I take the time to learn each pet's personality and needs so they can feel comfortable and secure while you're away. When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect both the pet's routine and the owner's home. I make sure pets have fresh water, a clean environment, plenty of attention, and appropriate exercise and playtime. I also keep doors and gates secure and monitor pets closely during walks and outdoor time. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet in someone else's care. I am reliable, attentive, and committed to providing updates and communication so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.
About: I’ve been passionate about caring for others (humans and other animals alike)! My wife and I have a fun, loving doggy named Kaju who is almost 2 years old. She loves to play, catch and find treats, and go on walks. We have had her since she was a young puppy and have crate/house trained her. She loves other people and dogs! I currently work from home full time as a school psychologist so I will have plenty of time and flexibility to take care of your pup! Our townhouse has an unfenced front and back yard with easy access to many neighborhoods for walks. We have plenty of long lines for safe outdoor play and potty breaks. We also have pens and crates if needed.
“Have lost track how many times Brook has come to visit Rhody now. Probably 6 to 8x now. Always available on short notice. I know Rhody can be nippy at times due to he is a puppy and a Sheepadoodle but she is patient and very understanding. Highly recommend Brook.”

About: I’ve been a dog dad to Nova, my 4.5-year-old Lab, since she was a puppy. I work from home, so I’m with her pretty much 24/7 and have gotten very tuned in to the little cues dogs give when they need something, whether it’s a walk, attention, or just a little space. I also regularly watch dogs for family and friends, so I’m used to handling different personalities, routines, and energy levels. Whether it’s a laid-back senior dog or a high-energy pup, I adjust to what they need to feel comfortable and cared for. I know how important it is to trust the person looking after your pet. I treat every dog like I would my own, with patience, attention, and plenty of play if they’re up for it. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in, or just keeping your dog company, I’ve got you covered. I work from home, so I have some flexibility during the day to fit in walks or drop-in visits, especially in the late mornings or early afternoons. While I can’t be available at every hour, I do have enough wiggle room in my schedule to reliably show up when needed and give your pet quality time and attention. Very open and flexible on weekends when I have notice. If your dog has a regular routine or certain times they’re used to, I’ll do my best to work with that. Just give me a heads-up and we can figure out what works. When I’m caring for a dog in someone else’s home, I treat both the pet and the space with the same respect I’d expect if it were my own. I always make sure doors are securely closed, gates are locked, and routines are followed exactly as requested. I pay close attention to each dog’s behavior and comfort level and never push them into anything they’re not ready for. Whether it’s giving them space to warm up or making sure they get enough play and attention, I adjust based on their personality and needs. Clean-up, basic tidiness, and clear communication are always part of the deal — you’ll come home to a happy dog and everything just as you left it.

“Caprice fed our cat for the weekend, and was very communicative, sent lots of photos and made us feel comfortable that Hendrix was safe and happy while we were away. We would definitely work with her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - North Providence
Jessica was fantastic with Lucky! From the moment he saw her at the meet and greet, they immediately clicked. I hired her to come twice a day and she always went above and beyond sending photos of Lucky throughout her visits. He always looked like he was having a great time while she was over. She took him on walks, played with him, and really kept him engaged. I'm always sad when I leave Lucky for a few days, but having Jessica there to keep him company eased my nervousness completely. Would have her watch him again in a heartbeat.

Jasmine was wonderful to work with! She stayed in touch with us, sending us photos and detailed notes about our cat, even going above and beyond with care during a heatwave while we were away. While we've had some very good experiences with sitters through Rover in the past, Jasmine, with her dedicated attention to communication and to our cat, was far and away the best sitter we've worked with in our area! We can't recommend her enough and hope she's available when we're next out of town.

Super great with my little fur guys. Very knowledgeable about pets. Very friendly, highly recommend. He makes sure to take very good notes before he even comes and takes care of them. And if he has any questions he will notify you and contact you to make sure that he has all the answers he needs to make sure your pets are taken care of.

Lila was wonderful with Snickers. She was very prompt and did everything I asked with his crazy senior dog behaviors. She’s sweet and loves dogs, it’s obvious with her interaction when she met my dog. It was also quite a last-minute booking, and she really helped us out that way.

Sarah and Amy were so awesome while I was away from my cat for 10 days. They were in daily contact with me with plenty of great photos to pull at my heartstrings. They really gave that extra love to my cat which is exactly what I would hope for but never expected. I’ll definitely book with them again in the future.

Annemarie was wonderful for our two drop-in visits! She was professional, reliable, and clearly very comfortable with our dogs. We came home to happy, well cared for pups and really appreciated the updates and peace of mind while we were away. She followed all instructions, was attentive to their needs, and made the whole process feel easy. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for dependable and caring pet care!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
