“Caprice fed our cat for the weekend, and was very communicative, sent lots of photos and made us feel comfortable that Hendrix was safe and happy while we were away. We would definitely work with her again!”

About: Se habla español! Hello there! My name is Devorat, but you can call me Debby. I’ve always loved animals and have spent most of my life caring for pets. I have lots of energy and love to spend it playing with animals! I consider pets part of the family, and I know exactly how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your fur baby. I offer a highly attentive, safe, and loving environment in Cranston. My home has a fully fenced yard where your dog can run and play safely, and I am home to provide potty breaks every 2 to 4 hours. My family has a friendly 6 year old Goldendoodle named Toby, but he lives downstairs in a separate apartment. My apartment is completely open and dedicated to my guest dogs! It is an open & flexible place where multiple pups can have their own space comfortably. Since I attend school virtually, I am home all day and pet care is my primary focus! Your pets will have constant company and plenty of attention. I am fully available for overnight boarding, fun doggy day care, and active neighborhood dog walking on both weekdays and weekends. I am happy to help with your pet's feeding, playtime, and exercise routines throughout the day! Safety is my top priority. I am here to supervise play and potty breaks in my fully fenced yard. I closely follow your specific care instructions, including feeding schedules and crate routines. I’m home most of the day, but I do sometimes pop out for quick errands. Before leaving, I always make sure the dogs are safely tucked into their crates or separated so they stay safe and happy while I’m gone. You'll get plenty of regular photo updates so you can see your pet is safe and having fun!

“Bri is perfectly reliable and very communicative. I had zero worries or issues while she watched my cat during a few days away. Will definitely hire again!”

“Fiona was AMAZING! We are so thankful for her! She did a FaceTime video call with us before coming over, and we were really impressed with her background and experience in caring for animals. She totally understood all of our concerns - our dog needed some extra TLC because he was nervous to be home alone for the first time - and Fiona met all of these needs. She gave us regular updates, tons of pics and videos (we can't thank her enough for this), and it was clear that our dog absolutely loved her. I am truly so thankful we connected with Fiona and will be rebooking with her next time we are on vacation. Thank you very much!”

“Heath was great with the fur babies! Checked in numerous times and any of the items I forgot to mention Heath reached out to confirm to take care of them! Will for sure reach out again next time we go out of town!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, not just the usual dogs and cats, but also horses, goats, chickens, and many other farm animals. Growing up on a farm taught me how to care for all kinds of animals with confidence, patience, and genuine love. I’ve babysat dogs, cats, and even bunnies for others, and I have hands-on experience with tasks like feeding, bathing, grooming, and giving each pet plenty of playtime and cuddles. I’ve also trained my own dogs over the years, working on things like sitting, staying, and basic manners. Because of my lifelong experience and my deep love for animals, I’m comfortable with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities, and I’m committed to making every animal feel safe, happy, and cared for. Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine. I’m a full-time student at URI, but on most weekdays I finish classes no later than 4:30, which means I’m available for evening visits, walks, and drop-ins. I also keep my weekends open for pet care, giving me plenty of flexible time for longer visits or overnight stays. I do attend church on Sunday mornings for about an hour with family but aside from that, my schedule is very open. I’m committed to making sure each pet gets consistent attention, playtime, and care, and I always plan my days so I can give animals the time and love they deserve. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, my priority is keeping their routine as familiar and comfortable as possible. I follow all feeding schedules, walk times, and any special instructions exactly as given. I make sure pets get plenty of playtime, attention, and affection, and I always keep their environment clean, refreshing water, tidying up any messes, and maintaining their normal living space. I also send updates and photos so owners feel connected and reassured while they’re away. If I’m caring for pets in my own home, I create a safe, calm, and cozy space where they can relax and feel at home. I’m attentive to their needs throughout the day, whether that’s exercise, training, cuddles, or quiet time. I make sure they’re supervised, comfortable, and getting the same love and structure they’re used to. No matter where I’m caring for them, I focus on making every pet feel safe, loved, and well taken care of.
“Jonathan was a lifesaver when prior a pet sitter canceled last minute, and in a way I’m happy it turned out that way! You can tell from the minute you meet him he genuinely cares for your animals like they are his own and makes every effort to show it. He even crocheted a blanket for our kitty! My husband and I never had to worry a day while we were on our vacation because we knew our cats were in great hands. We cannot begin to thank you enough!”
About: Hello! I’m Tierney. I’m new to Rover, but I am experienced in pet care. I have worked with furry friends of all sizes, ages, and needs (trust me, I’m a pro at sneakily administering meds with the help of peanut butter)! I’m also excited about ensuring that you feel connected to your pet while you’re away. I have been known to take super cute pictures of pets for text threads. Let’s work together! I am currently working freelance, so I have the freedom to build my own schedule. I have a lot of availability as a result. No matter the time of day, I can be there to care for your furry friend! When pet sitting, I successfully create a safe environment through open communication with my clients. I know prior to working with an animal the exact expectations of the owner.

“She’s incredible! So happy we reached out! Today was our first time leaving our pup alone all day & Renee sent pics and thorough updates. I wish Sasha could talk to tell me about her play dates like one of my kids would!”

“Karen was absolutely wonderful taking care of my two Siameses, Jade and Amethyst. She provided daily reports and pictures of my little ones. She provided top notch care and great communication. I highly recommend Karen and definitely will request Karen again!”

“It is so, so great to have a sitter that is not afraid of my zoo! As the owner of two cats, ten geckos, and ten snakes, all with different personalities ranging from shy to outright grumpy, I am very comforted by Rich's confidence in caring for them. I am a total momma bear when it comes to ALL of my critters (even the bitey ones), and I don't even worry while I'm away on vacation.”

“Maya went above and beyond for my three kitties!! She is an absolutely delightful person and you can tell she truly cares for your pets like she would her own. I will definitely be using her again and again. Thank you Maya! 🩷🐾🩷”

“Diana did a great job with my puppy! I’m so thankful to have found her when I did to care for my puppy while I was on a work trip. Highly recommend booking if you’re looking for a sitter that’s responsive and communicative!”

About: Hii! I volunteered at shelters but I preferred building a relationship with pets in Rhode Island :) I grew up around many dogs and cats. A fun challenge was when we adopted our German Shepherd puppy! Training him was a fun challenge, but it was harder (yet more rewarding) when we adopted his brother as well! Now they’re grown and trained but I can still see the little puppy they are in their eyes! I also have a senior dog that needs extra care, but I love making sure she’s comfy and gets her massages. I work a hybrid 9-5, so I can make time mornings and evenings for pet care. On my work from home days I am more flexible to do care during the day. Weekends are fully available! In your home I would make sure pets are in their designated areas and can’t escape! Cleanliness is the largest thing I would keep in mind while making sure your pet is comfortable!
“Emily was once again great with my two Siameses, Jade and Amethyst. Emily provided me with daily updates and pictures. The cats enjoyed their visits from Emily. I highly recommend Emily!”

“Katrina was fantastic! She was patient, kind and loving with our dog, Ocean. She dealt with a couple of blips, an electrical outage and an itinerary change with grace and equanimity. We will hire her anytime we go away and have already referred friends and family to her. I can’t imagine a better pet sitter.”

“Carse was amazing and we will absolutely be using her again. She was communicative, prompt, followed up with us daily and kept us up to speed on everything that was happening while we were away. Our cat Doug can be a little spicy with new people and Carse was so good he looked more relaxed hanging with her than he does with us half the time. 5/5”
“Kaitlyn was absolutely wonderful with my cats! She provided fantastic care, kept me updated with photos, and gave me total peace of mind while I was away. It’s such a relief finding someone so dependable and caring. I highly recommend her and will definitely be booking again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cranston
We had a wonderful experience! Emily was able to help us on very short notice, which was a huge relief. She took excellent care of our two cats, making sure they were well fed, comfortable, and got plenty of attention. It gave us great peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands while we were away. We would happily book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter.

I’m very pleased with Samantha service. I was always informed about anything, any changes or behaviors with my dear 4 paws daughter. I definitely would hire Samantha again. She went above and beyond. Example: I told her that she didn’t necessarily need to take my Sam for walks but she asked if she could, I said that It was all up to her. my daughter loved it!!!

Jessica was fantastic with Lucky! From the moment he saw her at the meet and greet, they immediately clicked. I hired her to come twice a day and she always went above and beyond sending photos of Lucky throughout her visits. He always looked like he was having a great time while she was over. She took him on walks, played with him, and really kept him engaged. I'm always sad when I leave Lucky for a few days, but having Jessica there to keep him company eased my nervousness completely. Would have her watch him again in a heartbeat.

Jasmine was wonderful to work with! She stayed in touch with us, sending us photos and detailed notes about our cat, even going above and beyond with care during a heatwave while we were away. While we've had some very good experiences with sitters through Rover in the past, Jasmine, with her dedicated attention to communication and to our cat, was far and away the best sitter we've worked with in our area! We can't recommend her enough and hope she's available when we're next out of town.

One of the best pet sitters you will ever find highly recommend. Very sad that she's moving away from my area. Wish they were staying cuz they're always so good. My pets love her and will always be in their heart. Like I said, very friendly. Very highly recommend I would hire her in a heartbeat again but like I said she's moving away so me and my pets are sad.

Kaitlyn was absolutely wonderful with my cats! She provided fantastic care, kept me updated with photos, and gave me total peace of mind while I was away. It’s such a relief finding someone so dependable and caring. I highly recommend her and will definitely be booking again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
