“Julia was so wonderful with our Cubbie. She clearly loves animals and sent us updates everyday on how he was doing. Super reliable and communicative and he had a great time. Thank you Julia!”

“Natalia gave great care to our dog for the long stay he had with her and their lovely Corgie Archie at their home. We got pictures nearly every day and she was responsive as needed. If you are looking to have your dog have good companionship they are a good choice.”

“We boarded our dog with Kendra for over 2 weeks when we went out of the country. Kendra went above and beyond for our dog, she even taught her new tricks! We received multiple photos and videos daily and she administered our dog's monthly medication without needing a reminder. I highly recommend boarding your fur baby with Kendra!!”

“Eve was great! She and her family clearly care about the pets they sit. I received photos and updates daily about how Coco was doing and it was obvious she felt welcome and at home. Eve was flexible and accommodating about pick-up and drop-off times and made the entire process a breeze. Will definitely trust her with Coco again. Thanks Eve!”

“Perfect! Thank you so much for taking care of Hartwell. I loved seeing pics and videos of him while I was away and never had to worry because he always looked happy! Will be leaving him with you again. 10/10”

“Ashley is Absolutely amazing dog sitter! From the moment we met, I felt completely at ease leaving my dog in their care. They were attentive, loving, and kept me updated with messages and photos. My dog was happy, well cared for, and clearly loved. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again—highly recommend!”

“Marissa was very responsive and sent photos frequently. With this being my first experience boarding, I felt at ease knowing my pup was well cared for. We'll definitely be back. Thanks!”

About: We are a married couple who both grew up in a home that always had dogs, and we don’t think a home is complete without a dog ! We have a Rhodesian ridgeback named Luca who loves to play with other dogs with naps and snacks in between. Hannah works from home so she is here all day to attend to them in between calls! Rory will support on an as needed basis. We look forward to meeting you and your dog and hope our home is like a home away from home for your pups! Requirements: Your dog needs to be potty trained Up to date on vaccines and flea/tick medications Good with other animals When booked: Please provide all food/snacks for your dog. If your dog requires a crate please bring your own as we don’t use any for our dog he sleeps with us in bed or lays on the couch with us. If they are allowed to do the same as Luca then we will happily all snuggle up ! Please bring a leash for your dog so we can take them for walks. Please tell us any specific instructions needed to care for your dog. Please provide us your veterinarian contact info incase of emergencies. Hannah works remote full time from home Monday -Friday ! Rory is home in the afternoon and evenings and will support on a as needed basis but Hannah will be the primary care taker to the pups! We are home on weekends unless we have a planned event. We have a fenced yard and a friendly dog named Luca who would love to have a playmate!! The cats keep to themselves but love our dog Luca just the same!
“She took excellent care of our boy and he had a great time playing with the sweet Lucy. Courtney provided us with updates and pictures and was always easy to get a hold of.”

“Isabell and Nick took great care of our border collie, Jerry! They had him for over two weeks, and sent frequent photos and updates. He’s certainly looking forward to his next visit!”

“Jay and Faith made Sweet Pea’s first hang out so smooth! I’m an anxious human but they made me feel at ease, and I can tell Pea felt very comfortable as well as she spent her time lounging around and relaxing. Definitely a trusted pair dogs, including the special ones that require a little more structure. A++”

“Karen made our dog feel right at home and has a perfect fenced in yard that is dedicated to the dogs. Her Lab made the perfect companion to keep our excited pup busy and entertained. Karen also sent pictures and was very easy to communicate with, definitely going to be returning next time we need a sitter!”

“Our mini goldendoodle, Evie, was well cared for by Paige and her family. Evie really enjoyed playing with the other dogs. Communication with Paige was great, too. I highly recommend her.”

“Boa took excellent care of Oskar our 6lb chihuahua, and sent a constant supply of photos which gave us peace of mind while we were away from our little guy. It was a bonus that Boa also has a chihuahua to hang out with. Would definitely recommend!”

About: Hi! I have been pet sitting with my non-reactive pup Sylvie for a number of friend's cats and dogs since COVID (usually as a favor) in and out of the New England area. I work at an arts non-profit in PVD and can drive. I can pet-sit and do limited amounts of dog training. Right now I work in a dog-friendly place 10 minutes from my home and my partner is working from home. We like going on hikes and to the dog parks. I would not bring a client's pet to my workplace, but a pet would always have someone with them at all times or at least not be left alone for more than a few hours at a time. I am most flexible on weekends and for overnight care. I have a fenced yard, a crate, and multiple rooms in the home with pocket doors that can split a larger room into two if needed. We usually let pets have free range of home or section off the living room depending on the temperament and needs of the pet.
The median cost per night for pet boarding in Cranston is $60

Devorat what's absolutely amazing with our husky who can be a sassy girl sometimes but she was able to keep her happy, well fed, and give her the amount of exercise that she needs! She was so helpful so sweet. We definitely will use her again. I appreciated all the cute photos that she sent us of her. She spent a good amount of time with her during our wedding week and I just knew our pup was in great hands, which was one less thing for us to stress about.

Karen was wonderful with our little shichon, Oscar. We felt very secure during our trip knowing that Oscar was in kind, knowledgeable hands. Communication was great, and Karen sent us pictures showing that our dog was comfortable and safe. One of the photos actually showed Oscar smiling! Unlike when we’ve boarded Oscar at a kennel, he didn’t have to “decompress” when we brought him home or act “strange” after his stay with Karen. He was his “regular self.” We definitely would book Karen again!

Julia was a wonderful sitter for my somewhat anxious 5 yr old dog, Ruby. Julia clearly has a great affection for all animals and is very attentive to them, making them feel comfortable & at very much at home. I feel very lucky to have found her & will definitely be booking with her again. Thank you SO MUCH, Julia!!! ☺️

If I could rate Jessica higher than a 5, I would! Prior to last week, we had never boarded Rylee before so we were nervous to say the least. Leaving Rylee in the care of someone else for a week while we were out of the country weighed heavily on our minds. Jessica not only alleviated those concerns but went above and beyond to ensure Rylee was adequately cared for. The updates, including photos, every day kept us at ease knowing that our girl was receiving the normal care. Not only that, but Rylee made two new friends - Apu and Mocha 🙂 I cannot recommend Jessica enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in RI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
