“Had issues with one of my dog’s behavior but Lisa handled the situation perfectly and my parents took him. She was great with my other dog, lot of walks, homemade treats, and she even washed his blankets! Highly recommended!”

“Elba has been nothing but incredible. She has been great at communicating and making sure I know how my dogs are doing. One of my dogs requires a lot of patience after suffering from a traumatic brain injury, Elba has gone above and beyond to meet my dog where she’s at. I’m very grateful and content with the services Elba has provided.”

Would absolutely recommend her and would definitely book again.”

“Paige is a wonderful sitter! She was warm and welcoming to our two dogs, and sent updates (including an adorable video of her child playing with our dogs!). Her house is spacious for the dogs to stretch out, and the fenced yard was ideal. I especially appreciate her flexibility when our flight (and therefore our return home) was delayed by a few hours. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had animals my entire life, from small Chihuahuas to large pit bulls, and I’m comfortable caring for pets of all sizes and personalities. I truly see animals as family and treat every pet in my care with the same love and attention I would give my own. Working with animals is something I genuinely enjoy. I love spending time walking, playing, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. My goal is to continue growing this into a long-term business built on trust, reliability, and happy pets. Nothing makes me happier than knowing both pets and their owners feel comfortable and cared for. I’m typically busy on weekends, but I may have some availability in the afternoons if needed 😊 Feel free to reach out and I’ll always do my best to accommodate when I can! (LOCATED IN CRANSTON) I have a nice big home with plenty of room for any sized dog. I have a nice fenced in backyard that is safe and I also could do walks if you prefer that. I usually sleep in the living room with them just in case they like to sleep with people.
“Julia was wonderful with our dog, Roma . She really enjoyed her stay and we felt confident that our pup was well cared for. We really appreciated the photos and videos as well.”

“Marilyn was an absolute blessing! She accepted Smoky last minute after my original sitter canceled while I was here visiting from Florida for a family vacation. From the moment I met her, I felt completely safe and comfortable leaving him in her care. She kept me updated, sent pictures, took him on walks, and made sure he was happy and engaged. It was obvious Smoky truly enjoyed his time with her. She even told me he was such a joy and hated to see him leave, which meant so much to me and showed how much she truly cared for him. I truly appreciated the love and care she gave him. The next time I bring Smoky home, Marilyn will absolutely be my first and only choice. Highly recommend her!”

“Gilbert was INCREDIBLE. A wonderful caregiver who was gracious enough to let our pup stay and care for his unexpected paw injury. 10000/10. And so many pup-dates!!! The best.”

“Qulynda was great! She took such great care of our dog while we were away, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing our pup was in good hands. I would highly recommend using Qulynda if you’re looking for someone to care for your furry one!”

“Ashley was great! She was quick to respond to our request for her services. Our dog Tessa stayed with her for 4 nights and seemed very content there. We received many updates with pictures throughout her stay, which we really appreciated. I would definitely use her services again!”

“Rocky had an EXCELLENT stay with Courtney and a great, fun time. Rocky is an older dog with some minor health concerns and Courtney made me feel completely comfortable. Courtney is so friendly, competent with a lovely fenced in yard for dogs. She even sent me adorable pictures throughout Rocky's stay. I was completely at ease while Rocky was there. I highly recommend Courtney!”

Anely was great with our dog! He has resource guarding issues and is terrified of fireworks (this boarding was over the 4th of July), and she handled both things beautifully, keeping him separated while he ate and administering anti anxiety meds. Sent plenty of pictures throughout - would absolutely book again!

First of all, if I could give Keasha 10 stars, I absolutely would. I don’t have enough words to express how grateful I am for the exceptional care she gave my dog. She sent me pictures almost every day, and sometimes even more than once a day, while keeping us updated on how he was doing. In every picture, I could see how happy and comfortable my dog was, and that gave us so much peace of mind. It truly showed how well she cared for him. The next time I need boarding for my dog, I will definitely contact Keasha again without hesitation. She exceeded all of our expectations. Keasha, thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of my little one. We truly appreciate everything you did. God bless you!

Jess was so amazing and went above and beyond while caring for our little bear during our honeymoon. We got so many (p)updates and even got a cute little painting by him celebrating our marriage. Thankful for Abu and Mocha too! They were wonderful friends for Fozzie to play with. We had trouble with our flights and times but Jess and her family were so accommodating and responsive it helped us feel at ease during our stressful travel home. Many thanks to them all making our Fozzie bear feel a part of their pack!

Marilyn was tremendous! She did a great job watching my dog Charlie and I could tell he was very well cared for during his stay with her. She was flexible, communicative, and sent plenty of pictures to show how much fun she and Charlie were having. Will definitely book with Marilyn again in the future!

Julia is amazing! She was super communicative, sending pup photos and info throughout her time with Charlie. He clearly had a great time, and even ran back toward her apt after we left—found a new best friend! Julia was extremely understanding when our trip was unexpectedly prolonged, and we felt at ease knowing he was in good hands until we could return. Appreciate the flexibility. Highly recommend Julia!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in RI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
