About: New to here, but a lifelong dog person! I had my family dog for 16.5 years starting at 12 years old. 10 years ago I got my first big pup who did agility classes in his prime so I have experience with large, high-energy dogs. My 3rd adoptee is one of the large lazy ones, needing motivation to get his steps in! Currently living with my 9 year old medium pup who absolutely has some sass. I’m used to handling strong pullers, playful chaos, and dogs that like to test boundaries. I have experience helping friends and family with a variety of pet needs over the years. I’ll match your dog’s energy while keeping things safe, structured, and fun! I work full time during the week and have a pup of my own I care for. I have availability on weekends! Happy to spend time during my weekend to make sure yours goes off without a hitch! I am excellent at caring for your pet exactly how you would! I thrive on detailed instructions if you're a helicopter pet parent (like me!) or I can go with the flow if you're chill and confident with your furry family. About: I've lived with dogs my entire life / taken care of them when I lived at my family's home. I have looked after golden retriever/German shepherd/great pyrenees mixed with lab, Spanish greyhounds, dachshund beagle mixes. I am comfortable with dogs of any size. I've found myself able to be in tune with a dog's feelings & they are often drawn to me because of my calm nature. I find it easy to bond with dogs and feel very comfortable just hanging out with them or taking care of them. I also love spending time with dogs including playing, walking, cuddling, or just hanging out and watching tv. I have special experience with reactive dogs where I needed to alter my walking routes in order to avoid other dogs (the dog my family had had been previously abused) as well as giving dogs oral medications. My top priority is your dog's safety/happiness. When it comes to giving care I'm very good at following instructions and know how difficult it can be to finding the right fit for someone to take care of their beloved dogs. I have a strong attention to detail and would love to provide the best possible care. I work from home and have lunch breaks that can be taken anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour but am flexible. I am able to step out if need be during the day for a quick check-in on pets/am willing to do so. I start work at 8 am and finish at 4:30 pm and often go to the gym afterwards but have about 30 minutes-2 hours free that I could use to check on pets. Overall, I'm flexible with working from home! If needed I am available to stay in your home to provide 24/7 care to your pets/work from your home. I care for my pets by feeding them, walking them, playing in the backyard, and just by hanging out with them when they're tired out from the day. My full time job requires me to have a strong attention to detail/high level of accuracy so I'm very dedicated to making sure I follow instructions. The safety of dogs is my top priority. My younger sister had a service dog and when he would go out in public we would sometimes have people ask if they could pet him. We had to politely tell them that he was working/a service dog. I mention this because I have no problem making sure dogs are safe and telling others when it's not ok to interact with them if they're working/anxious dogs/they don't do well with others.
