“Rebecca was reliable and so great with our dog. She communicated the details of her visit along with a photo. We will definitely use Rebecca again for our dog walking needs!”

“Candi was great with our dog Posh. Posh is hesitant with new people but liked Candi right away. I would use Candi’s services for our pet again and would recommend others to consider Candi’s services for their pet.”

“It was a pleasure to have Susan look after our cat, Mara, while we went on vacation. Upon meeting her, it was clear she really loves animals and wanted our pet to be calm and content while we were away. Susan's updates were prompt, detailed, and had lots of pictures. We came home to a very happy cat and would gladly book Susan again in the future!”

About: New to here, but a lifelong dog person! I had my family dog for 16.5 years starting at 12 years old. 10 years ago I got my first big pup who did agility classes in his prime so I have experience with large, high-energy dogs. My 3rd adoptee is one of the large lazy ones, needing motivation to get his steps in! Currently living with my 9 year old medium pup who absolutely has some sass. I’m used to handling strong pullers, playful chaos, and dogs that like to test boundaries. I have experience helping friends and family with a variety of pet needs over the years. I’ll match your dog’s energy while keeping things safe, structured, and fun! I work full time during the week and have a pup of my own I care for. I have availability on weekends! Happy to spend time during my weekend to make sure yours goes off without a hitch! I am excellent at caring for your pet exactly how you would! I thrive on detailed instructions if you're a helicopter pet parent (like me!) or I can go with the flow if you're chill and confident with your furry family. Leashes, closed doors and gates, and lots of love will be priorities.

“Second time utilizing Crystal’s services and she totally rocks. Definitely put my mind at ease that my cats were in good hands while I was traveling and greatly appreciated the daily updates and pictures!”

About: Hello, Nadine here. Looking forward to helping you and your pets needs. I am comfortable with all size dogs and look forward to meeting you soon. I am a dog mom, a full-time banker, and in my free time I enjoy long walks and everything and anything to do in nature. I am a proud owner of a miniature schnauzer, who is 15 years old. I am open to long walks, short walks. I understand work, life balance, and the stress of not getting home to our fur babies.
“Myah has been such a great fit for my pet care needs. She is professional, a great communicator and most importantly, my dog loves her! I would not hesitate to recommend her and will absolutely be booking with her for future pet care.”

“Liana was fantastic! She was responsive, prompt for our meet and greet, and kept in touch with messages and photos while taking care of our senior kitty. Will definitely use her again!”
“Allison left the funniest and detailed notes after her visits to see our boys! She is reliable, a good communicator and made sure our cats were well cared for while we were away for the weekend. We will definitely have Allison over again and would recommend her to anyone.”

About: I have grown up with and cared for many animals my whole life. I do have a soft spot for cats and dogs but I see all animals as equal I even find pet spiders and lizards adorable! A home isn’t a home to me unless there’s a family pet to share the love with. While most of my experience is caring for cats and dogs I do have three years of experience of caring for cats with special needs. I am currently working only a few hours a week which gives me a great opportunity to dedicate the rest of my time and energy to your pet. I do not have a fenced in yard but I do live on a dead end street that is very quiet and doesn’t see a lot of traffic.

About: I've grown up with family dogs and have been involved in their daily care for years. Through that experience, I've learned the importance of maintaining routines, providing regular exercise, feeding on schedule, and giving dogs the attention and companionship they need to feel comfortable and happy. I'm comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities and energy levels, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to provide a safe, reliable, and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners, with regular updates and photos along the way! I'm currently working full-time, but I have availability on weeknights and weekends! I'm willing to work on holidays as well and am happy to accommodate the owner's needs. I always prioritize a pet's safety, comfort, and routine. In a client's home, I follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any specific preferences the pet has. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship while keeping their environment clean and secure. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners know how their pet is doing.
“Another wonderful sit with Meira! She’s so great about detailed updates and so many photos and videos. Deedles loves her - even I can’t touch the belly, but Meira is allowed!”

- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
