“Susan goes about and beyond! I don’t know what I would do w/o her and my Bentley loves her. She cares for him as if Her as if he were her own dog. I’m so glad we found her.:).”

“Candi has been such a blessing to our family. She communicates before and after each walk, sends multiple pictures, and is very kind and reliable. She was open to helping train our 1yr old rescue dog and provides much feedback regarding their progress. We are comfortable with Candi driving our dog to the local walking trail since our neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks. Candi is an asset to Rover and I know our pup agrees.”

About: I have grown up with and cared for many animals my whole life. I do have a soft spot for cats and dogs but I see all animals as equal I even find pet spiders and lizards adorable! A home isn’t a home to me unless there’s a family pet to share the love with. While most of my experience is caring for cats and dogs I do have three years of experience of caring for cats with special needs. I am currently working only a few hours a week which gives me a great opportunity to dedicate the rest of my time and energy to your pet. I do not have a fenced in yard but I do live on a dead end street that is very quiet and doesn’t see a lot of traffic.
“I was in need of last minute care for Rocky and I sent a request out to a bunch of people. Amanda responded immediately and was willing to help! She made sure she understood the care instructions I provided and took him on a great walk, and most importantly he loved her. I’ll definitely be using Amanda again after the holidays.”

About: Hello! My name is Veru, and I run a private, small family-owned home dog retreat in Riverside, RI. I work from home full-time and live a very active lifestyle, which allows me to provide flexible, attentive, and personalized care throughout the day. I began offering my services through Rover and have worked with many different pets of all ages, sizes, and backgrounds. I also have previous experience providing pet sitting, house sitting, and dog walking for friends and family. Your dog will stay in a calm, clean, cage-free home never in loud kennels or overcrowded facilities. I design each stay around your pet’s normal routine so they feel safe, relaxed, and at home. My daughter, a college student, works by my side and can also provide in-home care at your residence if preferred, allowing your pet to remain in their familiar environment. What makes us different: • No cages • No strict restrictions or time limits • We follow your routine — or can implement ours • Park trips, neighborhood walks, bike-path walks, and beach walks (weather permitting) • Apartment complex dog park access • Limited dogs, full attention • Daily photo & video updates Your dog becomes part of our home, many guests even sleep with me for extra comfort, unless you prefer they sleep in their own bed. What to bring: Just your dog’s food, favorite snacks, favorite toy and their bed if they prefer their own — we provide the love, walks, play, rest, and care. 📍 Riverside, RI Boarding • Daycare • Private Walks • Pick-Up & Drop-Off I have a remote job, If you are hiring me for housesitting / daycare / boarding, you can sure l will likely be with your pet all day long. Note: My daycare rate is $45 for stays between 1 and 10 hours. If care extends beyond 10 hours, an extended care fee of $25 will apply. The final total is calculated and adjusted at the end of the booking based on the actual pickup time. Your pup’s trust and comfort are my top priority. I follow their regular routine as closely as possible so they feel safe, relaxed, and at home. Every pet has a unique personality and individual needs, and I take the time to understand and accommodate each one. For added safety and peace of mind, I also use GPS tracking during walks and outings until your pet is safely returned to you.
About: I've been taking care of dogs and other small animals since I was 13. I have been called upon for walking, feeding, and play dates since I was 16. I am an avid runner, who would love to take your dogs on long walks or short runs to tucker them out. I make my own schedule so I'm very flexible. If I have a busier day, I'm finished with my day by 6 in the afternoon I have a 4 year old rescue, a pomeranian mix named Macaroni. He has generalized anxiety, so you can count on me to be able to make your pet feel safe with me at all times!
About: Hi! I’m a reliable pet sitter based in Providence, and animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up always being around dogs and cats—walking them, feeding them, and helping take care of their daily routines. Being with animals has always felt natural to me, not just something I do, but something I genuinely enjoy. Over the years, I’ve had different kinds of hands-on experiences that taught me a lot about animal care. I’ve cared for a cat that had a litter of kittens, helped raise and look after them, and learned what it takes to keep both mom and babies safe and comfortable. I’ve also been an animal foster caregiver, which gave me experience adjusting quickly to different personalities, routines, and needs. Because of that, I’m very comfortable with all kinds of pets—whether they’re shy, playful, older, or need a little extra attention. I understand how important it is to be patient, consistent, and to follow instructions closely so pets feel secure in their environment. My goal is always to show up calm, caring, and dependable, and to make sure every pet I look after feels safe and every owner feels at ease while they’re away. Caring for pets fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I enjoy building time into my schedule to walk, check on, and spend time with animals, and I’m flexible enough to adjust around each pet’s needs. I like being consistent, so pet care becomes a steady part of my week that I can commit to fully and responsibly. In a client’s home, I make it a priority to follow all instructions exactly as given so pets stay on their normal routine. I focus on keeping them comfortable with feeding, water, litter or walks, and giving them attention so they feel safe while their owner is away. I also make sure to respect the home and leave everything clean and organized. If pets are in my care at my home, I make sure they are in a calm, safe environment where they can relax, stay on their usual schedule, and feel comfortable and secure.

About: I have taken care of dogs of all ages and sizes. I often pet sit for puppies only a few months old, and cared for my senior girl as her mobility decreased. I have also taken care of dogs that followed strict diets and medication routines. Providing the care that your dog requires to keep them happy and healthy is my priority! Whether they prefer to take it easy and chill on the couch, or go on long walks and play fetch for hours, I will adapt and ensure your pup is happy. I am currently finishing up my master’s degree, and am doing my internship part time during the week. My schedule is flexible for the days that I provided availability, so I am happy to adapt to your needs! I am happy to follow the safety guidelines and routines that you have set for your pet. I have a fenced in yard at my home for my pets, and they roam in and out all day. However, I have also watched pets without a fenced in yard that needed to be leashed when they go outside so I am happy to adapt and supervise your dog just as you would! If you prefer to crate your dog when they are indoors, I will happily do so as well so as to not impact your pet’s sense of normalcy and the rules they need to follow. If you prefer your dog to be alone on walks, I’d be happy to walk them in places where there are few other people or dogs around so that they feel safe.
About: Hi! My name is Jill, and I'm a college student with many years of experience working with and boarding dogs. I’ve been doing this for a couple of years through Wag, but am extending out to multiple platforms! I have a big and small dog of my own, and am comfortable with all breeds and sizes. I have experience working with senior dogs, high energy dogs, puppies, rescue babies and everything in between. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! I work virtually during my breaks from school, so I am always home to take care of your pet. If there is ever a time where I need to leave the house, my sibling and mother also dog sit and are able to watch over until I return. However, I make all efforts to be with the pet that I am watching at all times. The dogs that I take care of get the royal treatment, for sure. I absolutely love this job, and make sure that every pet I’m watching knows it! The dogs go out many times a day, go for a ride in the car with me, get plenty of cuddles, and are spoiled with love and treats. I am able to accommodate any of the owner’s needs. This includes oral medication administration, specific, feeding times, bathing or nail clipping, and/or training work.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
