“Rufus has quickly connected with Alyssah! Our boi is a generally-anxious and fearful dog. It took only 2 walks for him to understand he can (and does) trust Allyssah. Her energy is kind, calm, and she clearly understands dogs and their individual needs. This is our very first experience with a dog walker, and I'm extremely grateful that it is turning out to be so GOOD for Ruf and for us. Thank you, Allyssah!”

“Rachel is so sweet and attentive to our 8 month old golden retriever! she communicates great and is so loving to our girl. pennie already loves her even after only 2 meetings!”

About: I have taken care of dogs of all ages and sizes. I often pet sit for puppies only a few months old, and cared for my senior girl as her mobility decreased. I have also taken care of dogs that followed strict diets and medication routines. Providing the care that your dog requires to keep them happy and healthy is my priority! Whether they prefer to take it easy and chill on the couch, or go on long walks and play fetch for hours, I will adapt and ensure your pup is happy. I am currently finishing up my master’s degree, and am doing my internship part time during the week. My schedule is flexible for the days that I provided availability, so I am happy to adapt to your needs! I am happy to follow the safety guidelines and routines that you have set for your pet. I have a fenced in yard at my home for my pets, and they roam in and out all day. However, I have also watched pets without a fenced in yard that needed to be leashed when they go outside so I am happy to adapt and supervise your dog just as you would! If you prefer to crate your dog when they are indoors, I will happily do so as well so as to not impact your pet’s sense of normalcy and the rules they need to follow. If you prefer your dog to be alone on walks, I’d be happy to walk them in places where there are few other people or dogs around so that they feel safe.
“It was really difficult for me to find a dog walker that knew how to deal with my very shy dog, but my wait was well worth it. Patricia does exceptionally well with my dog and even after almost two months, he still won't let her put a leash on him without one already being hooked up, but she loves him anyway! There's no one else I would trust my dog with and I'm so grateful for her. You would be lucky to have her as your dog walker!”

“Taylor was friendly, prompt, and took great care of our Drew. Our dog was in good hands. Taylor also sent several pictures every day and we looked forward to getting them.”

About: I've always been an animal lover, and I know how important it is to find someone you genuinely trust to care for your pet. I'm reliable, patient, and I'll treat your pets like they're my own while you're away. I have experience from dogs and cats of my own, and watching, walking, feeding, and all from friends, neighbors, and family. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing outside, getting lots of attention, or just having someone nearby to keep them company, I'm happy to match their routine and make sure they feel comfortable. I'm also very detail oriented, so I'll follow any instructions you leave and make sure your pet gets the care they're used to. I know leaving your pet with someone else can be stressful, so I'll always keep you updated with messages and photos if that is something you would desire! My goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable, and to give you peace of mind while you're away. Right now I have a very flexible schedule, so I'm able to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I do Spark deliveries and occasionally help my neighbor clean her house, which allows me to plan my day around the pets I'm caring for. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, or just someone to keep them company, I'm happy to stick to their routine and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I know every pet has their own routine, and I do my best to make them feel comfortable by sticking to what they're used to. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or taking them on a walk, I'll always follow your instructions closely and make sure they have plenty of attention, exercise, and love. Your pet's safety is my top priority. I'll make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, keep a close eye on them during walks and playtime, and always respect your home by leaving it just as I found it. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, happy, and cared for while giving you peace of mind that they're in good hands.
“Had Hailey come by to walk Mushu while I was out of the country (away from Mushu for an extended period of time). I had my worries about leaving him for so long, but it was easy to trust that he was in good hands after chatting with Hailey. She's young but she's been around dogs her whole life, and you can see she loves them dearly. Will definitely be asking her to drop by again to see Mushu!”

About: I’ve taken care of so many different types of animals growing up. I have always had a compassion for caring for animals and providing them with the love and care that they deserve. I am currently a student in college who works part time, while taking in online classes. So a lot of my time will be spent creating bonds with your beloved animals! I can follow any certain safety procedures and make sure your fuzzy friend stays safer than ever, because that’s what I would want with my babies.
About: I've grown up with pets my entire life. Started working at a boarding and training facility and finally decided to branch out on my own. Between learning to administer meds for my diabetic cat to training my own dog to be daughters emotional support pet, I have quite a bit of knowledge. I look forward to taking care of others four-legged, fluffy friends as if they were my own! I am looking to fill my life with animals, however possible. I can be available at the drop of a hat to help with anyone's pet care needs. I have a tendency to spoil animals...If you let your dog sleep on the furniture then I will fully condone that and be curled up with them! If your cat gets to share your warm glass of milk before bed, then my milk is their milk!
About: I’ve cared for and loved dogs since the day I was born! However I really took on animal care with my shit-zu at the age of 10. She passed in 2020 and I loved her dearly. Ever since I’ve been longing 4-pawed companionship and would love to care for and love your beloved pups or cats while I wait to adopt my next family member! In the last four years since my best friend passed I’ve cared for dogs and cats for my friends and family and would love to extend that to my neighborhood as well! I currently work at a University so my schedule is dependable and flexible with work from home days and reduced summer hours from May - September! I am happy to do walks after work, on weekends, or during breaks when working from home, along with boarding and play time options! I have lots of space in my apartment complex which is nearby a number of parks and walkways for your animal to get exercise as needed. My apartment is clean, spacious, and quiet! I am also happy to go to local dog parks as well!
About: Hello! I have two years of professional experience caring and walking dogs. Growing up, my family had an Akita and then two Black Labs. I regularly help my sister with her German Shorthaired Pointer, who is in most of my photos :) I'm very active and enjoy long walks. I look forward to providing a consistent, pawsitive experience for you and your pup! I will always schedule a meet and greet with new clients before accepting. I find this allows everyone to assess compatibility, discuss routines, and ensure a comfortable experience for your pet! Hello! Wednesdays from 11am - 1pm are blocked off. Other than that, my schedule is pretty open. Please reach out with any questions. I’ll be happy to assist and meet your furry friend. Caring for your pet/s is a commitment to their safety, comfort, and well-being! When I look after pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining a secure, calm, and loving atmosphere. When I walk dogs I do not use my phone other than snapping a picture or checking the time. It’s important to me that I remain aware and attentive to your pup 🖤
About: I've been taking care of dogs and other small animals since I was 13. I have been called upon for walking, feeding, and play dates since I was 16. I am an avid runner, who would love to take your dogs on long walks or short runs to tucker them out. I make my own schedule so I'm very flexible. If I have a busier day, I'm finished with my day by 6 in the afternoon I have a 4 year old rescue, a pomeranian mix named Macaroni. He has generalized anxiety, so you can count on me to be able to make your pet feel safe with me at all times!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
