“Susan goes about and beyond! I don’t know what I would do w/o her and my Bentley loves her. She cares for him as if Her as if he were her own dog. I’m so glad we found her.:).”

About: I’m the first person my friends and family call when they need a sitter! I’m outgoing, engaging, and take pride in every task I do I have a lot of free time as I get out of work at 10am some days! I don’t work a full time job so I’m extremely flexible I live in a beautiful neighborhood on the east side of Providence with so many trails and walkable neighborhoods. I’m also open to coming to you for your needs!
“Kayla accommodated me for a last minute holiday visit and walk with my dog on Thanksgiving, which I am so grateful for! A last minute change in our plans meant he’d be home alone. She came over for a meet and greet two days before and asked a lot of important questions. She was good with Oso and kind about his need to be heard (aka lots of demand barking). He is not yet two and she understands puppies. She was easy to communicate with and I’d recommend her to care for your dog anytime.”

About: I'm Sunny, an experienced and passionate dog-sitter. With two adorable dogs of my own—Lui(80Ib) and Belle (9Ib)— I understand the love and care our furry friends need As a dedicated dog owner, I take my dogs to the park twice a week and ensure they have potty walks every 4-6 hours. :) As your dog-sitter, I'll give your fur babies 24/7 love and attention. If they prefer their own space, I have private rooms available. I would be honored to provide the same love and attention to your dogs as I do for my own. Let's discuss how I can make their stay safe and enjoyable.
About: I grew up on a farm so pets have always been my livelihood. I adopted my first cat at 9 years old and my first pig at 14. I’m currently working part-time, but that allows for my schedule to be flexible enough to make time for your fur babies:) just ask and we can find a time! Establishing trust with your pets is my number one priority! I will make an effort to accommodate them and pay close attention to their needs.
“Eden has been walking my Finn now for two weeks (as I’m recovering from surgery). She has been wonderful - reliable, upbeat, and obviously great with dogs. I highly recommend Eden and look forward to being a “repeat customer”. Thank you Eden!”

About: I’ve been in the animal care field for 7 years now, I’ve had experience in dog daycare, grooming, veterinary medicine and some training work. I have plans of opening my own dog facility in the future. Pet care is my full time job as it is my passion and doing what I love to do, it is part of my daily routine and my life revolves around taking care of animals (and I LOVE IT!) I have a room dedicated to any dogs in my care, I practice positive crate games if needed, dog toys, treats, enrichment toys & my full and undivided attention
“Michelle is amazing!! Our rescue has some issues and warmed up to Michelle very quickly. Michelle takes such good care of Wynona, is an excellent communicator, and sends the sweetest photos from each visit. We're so grateful to have found Michelle and cannot recommend her highly enough!”

About: Hi! I’m a reliable pet sitter based in Providence, and animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up always being around dogs and cats—walking them, feeding them, and helping take care of their daily routines. Being with animals has always felt natural to me, not just something I do, but something I genuinely enjoy. Over the years, I’ve had different kinds of hands-on experiences that taught me a lot about animal care. I’ve cared for a cat that had a litter of kittens, helped raise and look after them, and learned what it takes to keep both mom and babies safe and comfortable. I’ve also been an animal foster caregiver, which gave me experience adjusting quickly to different personalities, routines, and needs. Because of that, I’m very comfortable with all kinds of pets—whether they’re shy, playful, older, or need a little extra attention. I understand how important it is to be patient, consistent, and to follow instructions closely so pets feel secure in their environment. My goal is always to show up calm, caring, and dependable, and to make sure every pet I look after feels safe and every owner feels at ease while they’re away. Caring for pets fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I enjoy building time into my schedule to walk, check on, and spend time with animals, and I’m flexible enough to adjust around each pet’s needs. I like being consistent, so pet care becomes a steady part of my week that I can commit to fully and responsibly. In a client’s home, I make it a priority to follow all instructions exactly as given so pets stay on their normal routine. I focus on keeping them comfortable with feeding, water, litter or walks, and giving them attention so they feel safe while their owner is away. I also make sure to respect the home and leave everything clean and organized. If pets are in my care at my home, I make sure they are in a calm, safe environment where they can relax, stay on their usual schedule, and feel comfortable and secure.

“Bri is amazing. Always on time for walks, super reliable, leaves great notes about the walks and sweet photos and is so sweet with our boy André. Look forward to continuing to use her services!!”

I’d love to take care of your fur-babies when you need help while busy at work or trying to fit in a last minute vacation! I work three days a week and overall have pretty open availability to be able to provide high quality pet care while also cleaning up and leaving your place the way you found it before you left! I am available for dog walking, litter boxes, meal times, quality time, light house-cleaning, and any other pet need related to cats, dogs, or any other kind of furry friends you may need help with while you are away!
About: Overview: I have always grown up with animals of all sorts, mainly small dogs, and now live with a cat and tortoise. I have experience with feeding, potty training, sleep training, trick training, caging, walking, bathing and grooming, cleaning up, playing, exercising, and loving each of my beloved pets. Each task is beyond worth it. If you have any questions or inquiries, please feel free to ask! My Fun Pet facts: - I have had a 14 year old Russian tortoise rescue, named crash, for 5 years now! It is named after the fact that he lives in a glass tank and sometimes forgets the glass is a wall. Also I set him free often to wander, and he's an adrenaline junky that loves to try to climb, drop, and crash into various objects and walls! - I raised salt water fish in my childhood home from lion fish to banana eels to pufferfish and idols and tangs! - My biggest dream is to have dog, cats, bunnies, ducks, and horses on my own homestead! pigs, goats, and any other animal would be fun too :) Experience (Personal, Pets, and Personality): Since moving to the city part time, my dogs and I have become very used to handling the hustle and bustle of the streets, especially Central Park. I volunteer at the Broome Animal Shelter to walk their dogs occasionally with friends. As a disabled person myself with pets who have had various issues throughout their and my life with some experience in basic healthcare, and lots of experience in first aid and crisis- any medical procedure needed to be done at home from syringes to needles to gauzes to bandaids, or even just hiding a pill in cheese- I am your guy! As a Filipino, I grew up with a very large family which includes having lots of animals around. But even in my own home, I grew up with a golden retriever, a havanese, and a poodle. Then two Havanese, and their cousin the Italian greyhound and.. another Havanese and... another poodle. I was the kid who memorized every dog breed, and wanted to visit the kennel and beg my parents for another dog. Our house was known as the place to house sit if a loved one was to go on vacation or anything. As an adult, I have lived with a cat each year that I could. Though these pets were pretty small in breed, it's actually my dream to get a dane or a similar sized and mannered big friendly giant. I spent a lot of my time at shelters, in nature camp, and at the nature center when I was a kid keeping all the animals safe. I have been that friend who pets immediately bond with when visiting someone's place for the first time. I was even such a frequent guest at the nature center, I even named one of the corn snakes "Bracelet" since she would hang around my wrist as I went to walk around the Greenberg Nature Center to greet, feed, clean, and care for the other reptiles. I have been an honorary member of the staff since I was 5 years old! I am a full time graduate student now working in Providence for 2 months. Since my work can be flexible and I'm located in the heart of the city, I can be available anytime! I have 5 repeat dog clients right now, and live with a cat and tortoise right now so I'm always surrounded by pets and happy to meet more. I will return to Binghamton August 2, and will be open again for house sitting then. When I am home in New York, I am available full weekends and holidays. I will be curious and courteous about whatever tailored needs your pet has so I can best respect and take care of your pet. For dogs- On walks, I don't just walk alongside a dog but I pay attention to their body, queues, and interests. During house visits, I'd love to keep them engaged by playing with them, keeping them active, and of course letting them rest. I am extremely well organized and I would ensure they get fed and taken out at requested times. For cats- I would make sure that they get what they need and want. From alone time to pets to cuddles to carrying. I would be on time with food, medicine, or any other duties. I would keep a good eye on your cat and ensure they get into minimal trouble, while also letting them roam and explore. For any other animals- I would just be honored to hangout with your pet, as an exotic pet owner myself. I would ensure I am well educated in the handling and care of your animal!
About: Woof! Meow! Don’t be off put by my headline - I am a big fan of both dogs and cats. I love walking dogs and am also available to housesit. I am a full-time writer and I do a lot of my work from home so I am pretty flexible during the week and on weekends! I am available for dog walking, drop ins, and house sitting. I do not offer boarding in my home, but I am more than happy to stay at your home when needed while providing your pets with all the love and care they need! I have experience with all kinds of dogs and of all ages.
“Natasha was great with my pup! He loved his walks and the attention she gave him. She was very professional and super quick to respond to any messages for booking. She even brought in a package for me that came during his walk which was very kind of her.”

About: I had the enriching experience of living with a curious & stubborn miniature dachshund for 16 years - he was my “little brother”! As I matured I encouraged him to walk and was patient with interpreting his communication & his unique needs as he aged. I have also been able to visit with and care for a playful 3 year old chihuahua when I visit home in NJ. I am currently a graduate student in an occupational therapy doctorate program in Providence, RI. I am on my summer fieldwork which is full time in CT Monday - Thursday. Until August my Fridays are free, and I have minimal homework on weekends now so I am eager to get outside with some amazing dogs! I am not currently offering to bring your dog into my home for care. If I were to care for your dog in your home, I would abide by your ground rules and make sure we are in agreement before continuing.
About: I’ve had cats and dogs growing up and would love to take care of yours while supporting myself in grad school! I have very open availability for your convenience. After taking care of my golden retriever, I have a lot of free time that I’d love to dedicate to helping others take care of their animals while busy like at work. My golden retriever has been crate trained all her life and gets along with other dogs well since she goes to the dog park almost daily.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - East Providence
Rania has taken care of my cat before so I rebooked her for my new puppy. Not only does she love cats and cares for them like her own but she is UNBELIEVABLY attentive to dogs. My puppy is new and needs tons of support and training and she dove in headfirst with no hesitation and without me even asking. Obviously like I dont expect her to train my dog but the fact that shes so attentive and notices even the slightest changes and moods of your furry friends is a MASSIVE plus. She even took a picture of my cat without my asking to update me in how shes acclimating to the new dog. She spent time with my new puppy and got him getting used to the crate and kept up with all the potty, walk, and crate training I’m doing. She is also super knowledgeable and gives great advice. She cares and is professional about it and realistic about the care she can provide. I enjoy working with her because it’s easy and she handles everything. She is not shy to clean up an accident or two either shes just amazing. Please please book her she is soooo good and she also responds SUPER fast.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
