Baron had a great day with Isabel and her fiancée! Despite him being a slightly anxious pup at times, he seemed to be at ease, relaxed, and enjoying his time. Isabel was very responsive and took very good care of Baron. I will definitely be booking with Isabel again!

Gilbert is the best Rover host I’ve had the pleasure of using to watch Leo. I was provided videos throughout the day and Leo played hard with Gilbert’s dog Moon all day. I couldn’t be happier and I’m going back tomorrow for one more day. Gilbert was also very flexible with my schedule as I hit a snag during my business in Providence.

About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

About: 🐾 Pet Experience Bio 🐾 IG: ThePVDPetNanny (if you’d like to see more services and content I provide) Hello there! A little about me my name is Angela I'm an experienced and compassionate animal caregiver who is dedicated to providing your furry family members with all the love and care they deserve. With a decade of being a devoted pet parent to both cats and dogs, I understand the special bond that exists between pets and their owners and how meaningful it is to you. My journey as a pet parent began ten years ago, but I have had various pets from hamster to cats and dogs since I was a toddler and since then, I've learned the joys and challenges that come with raising and nurturing these wonderful companions. Throughout this time, I've been the proud parent of both cats and dogs, each with their unique personalities and needs. As an animal caregiver, my commitment is to treat your pets as if they were my own. This means ensuring their physical, spiritual and emotional well-being, whether it's providing regular walks, jogs, playtime, nutritious meals, or simply offering comforting snuggles in your house or mine. I believe in creating a safe and loving environment where your pets can thrive, just like they would in their own home. Whether it's a cozy lap for your cat to curl up in or a long walk in the park for your energetic pup, I'm here to cater to their individual needs. Your pets' happiness and comfort are my top priorities, and you can trust that they'll receive the same level of care and affection that I give to my own beloved animal companions. Thank you for considering me as your trusted pet caregiver. I look forward to forming a special bond with your furry friends and providing them with the love, safety and attention they deserve. 🐶🐱❤️ If you’d like to check out my IG page feel free to follow: thepvdpetnanny more content there! A few things to take note of: For house sitting please ensure you house is cleanly, that there are fresh sheets and bedding provided. Or I will not accept the booking. Unfortunately I have had situations where homes were not clean and it has led me to set firmer booking boundaries. Please let me know what type of updates you’d like (some clients like lots of photos and updates some want to enjoy their vacations, getaways etc.. Please leave specific details for medical needs, medications, activities you’d like me to provide for you pet so I can ensure they are safe and their needs are met. Thank you 😊 I am currently available for housesitting and pet sitting services full-time so I will be able to meet all of your pets needs and care for them full-time if needed. My long haired domestic cats Luna and Mila are indoor cats, my Golden Orla who is 7months is crate trained and is a puppy in training as this is her first year of life, I’ve done majority of her basic training and she has flourished! They are deeply loved, lots of cuddles, nutritious meals, and lots of activity (from play to running to long walks) and play dates with puppies in the area. Also always looking for new furry friends for Orla if you’re open :)

About: I adopted my dog when he was two and trained him to become the calm, well-mannered gentleman he is today. Now a senior, he’s an expert at finding the best spot on the floor and supervising the household from there. Caring for him has taught me the patience, attentiveness, and extra support older dogs need. I’m dependable, observant, and committed to following each pet’s routine so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your dog prefers long walks, slow strolls, playtime, or professional-level napping, I’ll treat them like my own. Caring for pets fits naturally into my routine because spending time with animals is genuinely one of the best parts of my day. I plan my schedule carefully so every visit gets the time and attention it deserves... never rushed or squeezed in as an afterthought. I’ll follow your pet’s usual routine, arrive when expected, and keep you updated while you’re away. I know consistency helps pets feel safe, especially when dinner is served three minutes late and they’re considering filing a formal complaint. Safety and trust come first. In a client’s home, I follow instructions closely, respect the space, and keep doors, gates, and leashes secure. I know from my own dog's personality that pets are not always committed to the honor system. I’ll maintain their usual feeding, walking, and playtime routines while giving them the patience and attention they need to feel comfortable. In my home, any introductions to my calm senior dog would be slow and supervised, with separate spaces available for meals and rest. I’ll also provide honest updates so you can relax knowing your pet and home are being treated with genuine care and respect.

About: Hello, I’m a Brown University graduate who gave up on the corporate life to live off my art and my passion for animals. I’ve always had pets in my life, especially cats, and I’ve been caring for them since I was a kid. Growing up, I also helped watch my neighbors’ pets whenever they needed an extra hand. Now, I’m a proud dog mom to Bonnie, a sweet Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix I share with my partner. Because she’s our first dog, we dove deep into research—while at Brown, we studied canine behavior and body language to better understand how dogs communicate and what they need to feel safe and happy. That knowledge has been invaluable in helping us welcome pet guests into our home. When your pets stay with us, they’ll be treated just like Bonnie—with cuddles, love, fun walks, playtime, and plenty of care. My goal is always to make them feel at home, comfortable, and loved. My schedule is very flexible, so I have plenty of time to walk, feed, play with, and cuddle your pets throughout the day. Whether they need extra attention, long walks, or just companionship, I’m here to make sure they always feel cared for. The first priority for me when caring for animals is safety. I pay close attention to the environment and make sure pets are always comfortable and secure. For dogs, I have a safe yard where they can play, take potty breaks, or just relax outside. I also live in a very pet-friendly neighborhood, perfect for safe walks and trips to the park. For cats, my home is equipped with window protection so they can’t slip outside (unless they are leash-trained or outdoor cats whose owners prefer outside time). I always respect each owner’s preferences—whether that means leash walks, indoor-only care, or a specific routine. If not in my own house, it's my pleasure to go to the owners house to take care of the cats! I will check the whole house to make sure everything is in order, clean everything, feed, hang out and play with the little ones! I pay attention to each animal’s unique needs. I believe communication is key, so I’ll always ask questions and keep in touch to make sure we’re on the same page.

Veru is an excellent sitter , she is accommodating to any needs for your pet . She took good care of my boy. She follows instructions and really cares like her own. She would post pictures that were very nice and sweet. She took my boy for walks , which he enjoyed. I had my boy for two days of day care , he was excited to go over the second day. He had developed a bond , that I could see that he missed her when we said our byes for the stay. You will feel the same with your pet if you use her service that I highly recommend. Thank you Veru, you were wonderful sitter .

About: Hi! We are a sister team with over a decade of experience in dog rescue and animal care! We have veterinary experience and can provide basic medical care such as injections or administration of medications. We love animals and are patient and understanding. We can’t wait to meet you & your pet! Every pet is different and has different needs. We like to learn about those in advance and proceed on a per pet basis. Some dogs need more patience and structure for instance, or benefit from mental stimulation as much as physical. We can adjust our care style to the specific needs of the client. The pets safety and comfort is of top priority. We have availability throughout the week and can often accommodate weekend requests as well. Please note bookings m-f between 11am-2pm are the most popular time slots and often secured in advance by weekly reoccurring. We can offer drop ins, cuddle sessions, structured walks, play time/toys, work on basic training, exercise sessions and more! Pets under our care are our top priority and will be treated like family.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. Whether your pet is playful, shy, or somewhere in between, I’m confident in creating a calm, loving environment that fits their needs. I work from home full-time, which means your pet will have plenty of attention throughout the day—and with a beautiful park right next door, daily walks and outdoor time are part of our regular routine. I genuinely treat every pet like my own, giving them the care, affection, and respect they deserve. Looking forward to meeting your furry family member! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I start the day with morning walks (the park next door is perfect for that), and I build in time for play, feeding, potty breaks, and snuggles throughout the day. Evenings usually include a final walk and some wind-down time. Whether it’s a short visit or overnight care, I make sure each pet gets plenty of attention and care woven into my day like they’re part of the family. In my home, I create a safe, calm, and pet-friendly space where your pet can feel comfortable and cared for. I stick to their usual routine as much as possible—walks, feeding times, play, and rest—to help them settle in easily. I live next to a park, so daily walks and outdoor time are a big part of our day. Pets have full access to cozy spaces, and I’m always nearby since I work from home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your East Providence commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in RI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 825 sitters in East Providence, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
