My children are grown ups and out of the house on their own. My home is empty with just me and my elderly mother. About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

Without a doubt 5 stars! ✨ We were in the area for the weekend and one of the days we had an activity that our dog was not able to come with. Our dog can be strong willed and will take advantage of his size if he thinks he can get away with it. I initially chose Rich/aka Kemba on Rover because his profile pic was with an Akita! Regardless of that, Kemba was the perfect match for Rocky! He sent us some photos of their adventures out and about, and a sweet video walking (with a loose leash, no one was being pulled like a kite!) with a friend's dog. Our drop off and pickup was super smooth. Kemba made a suggestion for our meeting location that made it easy and he delivered Rocky to us at our Airbnb at the end of the afternoon.
