“Samantha was punctual and thorough at our meet and greet and was able to work with my very excitable but friendly dog. She provided updates as the walks were taking place and sent videos of my pup. Will definitely be calling on her again!”

“Xavier is responsible and communicative and always on time. Our dog, Reggie loves Xavier and does so much better on the days when Xavier comes to walk him. Xavier goes above and beyond by making sure the puppy mess is picked up at our house before he leaves. I highly recommend Xavier for your pet.”

“Grace was great at communicating and patient with Nugget who can be a little anxious at first. Sent photos and checked into throughout. Thank you again, Grace!”

“Emily was fantastic with Kleio!!!! Kleio enjoyed her walks with Emily and already misses her time with Emily. Emily came as scheduled and spent great time with Kleio even adapting the activity level given the warm/humid weather conditions. We will most certainly utilize Emily again in the future and would recommend Emily to others. Kleio's Mom & Dad”

About: Hello there,I am a full time, professional pet sitter located in North Providence. I have my own home, the lower level is dedicated to pup sitting. I provide a caring, responsible, safe enviroment for your special friend. I am lucky in the fact that I am unofficial Uncle to many special pups! I board & hold daycare sessions at my home. I am fortunate to have some regulars who come for doggy day care, they're "vetted", dog friendly, and your pup(s) is welcome to come & join the fun. They always end up sleeping in my bed😀. I have a partially fenced-in yard, and the back yard is quite large. When we are outdoors I never let pups off of their leashes, unless they are on one of my secure leads. I have a wonderful, loving hound named Amigo, who I rescued in 2/21. He is 6 years old, sweet as can be, and absolutely loves the friends he makes having guests Rover stay over. About: I worked at a doggy daycare in college where I was responsible for taking care of upwards of 12 dogs. I adopted my dog 4 years ago and he's become a part of the family. I've taken care of him as well as friends dogs (including puppies) when they are away. However you choose to take care of your dog is how I will take care of them. I'm currently working part time, which leaves me plenty of time to take care of your dog(s)! I'm available every day and night of the week. I follow all of the instructions given to me by the owner to make sure the pet is taken care of, comfortable with a stranger, and loved.
About: I’ve loved and cared for animals my whole life, with experience caring for family, friends’, and neighbors’ pets from a young age. I also worked at a doggy daycare, where I gained hands on experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I work full time, but spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy and look forward to outside of work. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, especially evenings and weekends, and I love being able to spend that time walking, playing with, and caring for pets. I’m unable to offer boarding in my own home because I have an anxious cat, but I’m happy to provide attentive care in clients’ homes. I do my best to keep pets comfortable by sticking to their normal routines, whether that’s walks, feeding schedules, playtime, medications, or just giving them companionship and attention while you’re away.

About: Hi! I’m new to Rover, but I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have years of experience caring for them. I love giving pups plenty of attention, exercise, and love, and I’m reliable, responsible, and happy to send updates so you can relax knowing your dog is in good hands 🐾💛 Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I’m currently a college student taking online classes, which gives me a flexible schedule. This allows me to plan my day around each pet’s needs, including feeding times, walks, playtime, and check-ins. I’m home often and able to give pets consistent attention, supervision, and care throughout the day, making sure they stay comfortable and on their normal routine. When caring for pets, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. In my home or a client’s home, I follow feeding schedules, walking routines, and any specific instructions provided. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and rest, while also keeping their environment clean and safe. I monitor their behavior closely, provide updates to pet parents, and adjust care as needed to make sure each pet feels comfortable, secure, and well cared for.

Genevieve has been helping out for a month now and she has been so amazing! My dogs love her and we see such a difference in their excitement by the time we get home. Our oldest pup she even is getting more active and plays more. She is a wonderful hire, punctual, communicates with so much notice and is so polite.

Xavier took excellent care of my dog Zoey who’s 2 years old and very energetic. He provided great reports and pictures after each walk which I really appreciated. He was also flexible with scheduling and communicated clearly. I will definitely rebook with him in the future. Thank you!

Laura has been great to work with. We have a reactive dog one of three and she’s been very patient in working with him and getting him to walk on the trails. We appreciate her flexibility and she’s in frequent contact with us so that we know how the dogs are doing highly recommend

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
