We had never gone on vacation without our 6 year old dogs before. When we planned a trip to Barcelona, this was my one hesitation. Garrett (Xinwei) removed all my apprehension. We met with him before leaving and his kind nature and caring questions gave me the confidence and security I needed to be able to go abroad without worrying about something happening to my babygirls. His every photo captured how happy my dogs were in Garrett’s company, and his daily text updates assured me that they had everything they needed. We will 100% be rebooking with Garrett. :)

Emily had 2 scheduled walks with my 2 dogs, Ellie and Gizmo . This is the third time we've booked with Emily, but this time we weren't around. We had an event to go and had to leave very early in the morning. It was great that we found a dog care taker that we can depend so that their regular schedule is not disrupted as much . She was very communicative through rover . She took pictures and wrote up short summaries . We have one dog that is super timid and likes to hide when new people coming into the house (8yr old aussie mix) and a 3yr border collie that's is a lovable high energy pup . She did wonderful with both. We appreciate your services Emily !

About: Ive been taking care of my own pets as long as Ive been able, and began pet sitting, house sitting, and dog walking for others in high school during 2022. I have experience with cats and dogs of varying ages (puppies/kittens-elderly pets) and needs (illnesses and disabilities), as well as more exotic pets like lizards, birds, rodents, and aquatic animals like fish, turtles, and axolotls. I’ve administered medications for dogs, but do not have experience with needles. I’ve spent up to a week taking care of several animals at a time, as well as short periods like nights and checking in daily. I will do all I can to provide your pet and home with the care they need! I’m currently in college, but primarily online, so my school schedule is flexible with your needs! I am not working outside of pet care so I am not tied down to other responsibilities and provide the time needed to care for your pets. I’ve lived with pets my whole life, so I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs. When caring for pets in their own home, I’ll follow their usual schedule as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, and lots of attention. I’m comfortable paying attention to a pet’s behavior and making sure they’re safe, comfortable, and secure. I’ll also treat your home with respect, double-check doors and gates, and follow any specific instructions you leave. I’m happy to send photos and updates so you can relax knowing your pets are being well cared for while you’re away.

About: I've taken care of dogs, cats, and even the occasional Axlotl for as long as I can remember! Trusted by friends, family, colleagues, neighbors, and strangers. Experience with: Dogs Young dogs Dogs with behavioral challenges Elderly dogs with medical needs Cats (The humble Axlotl) I work a few part time jobs, with some available daytime hours and some available nighttime hours. I always make sure to keep enough time for comprehensive pet care, meaning several walks a day, play, and leisure time together, but there are times when I must spend 6-10 hours out of the house. I have a beautiful, not-fully-enclosed yard that a leashed pet would love to spend time in. I keep a pet free home, but there are animals in my building. I do keep plants, not all of which are pet-safe, but I have a strict system for keeping them quarantined during animal care.

About: I’m an animal-loving farm girl with a lifelong background working with animals of all kinds. I hold a bachelor’s degree and have hands-on experience caring for everything from cockatiels, chinchillas, and turtles to horses, cows, and a wide variety of dog breeds. I’ve owned and worked with many rescue animals, which has given me a deep appreciation for each pet’s unique personality, comfort level, and needs. I believe in building trust, creating structure, and meeting every dog where they’re at — whether they’re high energy, sensitive, or just want to relax in good company. My experience as a veterinary technician in both small and large animal medicine allows me to confidently recognize when something isn’t right and respond appropriately, giving you added peace of mind while your pet is in my care. I currently offer dog walking and drop-in visits designed to keep your pets happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. Whether your dog needs exercise, a potty break, fresh water and snacks, or just some quality companionship, I tailor each visit to your pet’s individual needs and routine. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to have someone reliable and trustworthy caring for your animals. I pride myself on being dependable, communicative, and attentive to details. You'll receive updates, photos, and honest communication so you can feel confident your pets are safe and well cared for. My experience extends beyond cats and dogs, so I'm also comfortable providing care for other pets and farm animals during drop-in visits. No matter the species, every animal receives the same level of patience, respect, and compassionate care. I currently work another job Mon-Thurs until 4pm. I have limited availability for walks and drop-ins those evenings. I am available for more frequent and consistent walks and drop-in visits Friday, Saturday & Sunday. If you have questions about availability, please feel free to message me! Every pet is different, so I tailor my care to their individual needs, personality, and routine. During drop-in visits and walks, I provide feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, medication administration when needed, companionship, and gentle exercise appropriate for your pet's age, health, and energy level. Whether your pet prefers a leisurely walk, a little time outside, or simply some good company and reassurance while you're away, I strive to make each visit a positive and stress-free experience. Safety, communication, and reliability are extremely important to me. I carefully follow all instructions, monitor for any changes in behavior or well-being, and provide updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is comfortable, safe, and well cared for in your absence.

About: I have been dog sitting for friends on and off since I can remember and always grew up around animals. I love to stay active and move but also just sit and play and take care of dogs and cats. I always seem to know just the right spot to rub with all the cute adorable dogs which is all of them! I understand that they come in all sizes and all have different personalities and I can’t wait to meet them! Spending time with any animal never seems to disappoint me and will always bring a smile to my face with their beautiful tail wags and smiling. I have been walking dogs using Wag previous to this Currently part time working and looking for extra time with some new furry friends! I love spending time outdoors and do so on my own so having a buddy is always a nice touch. Safety is a big concern animals are basically like family and I understand that their safety is a priority. About: Hi! I’m new to Rover, but I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have years of experience caring for them. I love giving pups plenty of attention, exercise, and love, and I’m reliable, responsible, and happy to send updates so you can relax knowing your dog is in good hands 🐾💛 Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I’m currently a college student taking online classes, which gives me a flexible schedule. This allows me to plan my day around each pet’s needs, including feeding times, walks, playtime, and check-ins. I’m home often and able to give pets consistent attention, supervision, and care throughout the day, making sure they stay comfortable and on their normal routine. When caring for pets, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. In my home or a client’s home, I follow feeding schedules, walking routines, and any specific instructions provided. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and rest, while also keeping their environment clean and safe. I monitor their behavior closely, provide updates to pet parents, and adjust care as needed to make sure each pet feels comfortable, secure, and well cared for.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
