“Emily had 2 scheduled walks with my 2 dogs, Ellie and Gizmo . This is the third time we've booked with Emily, but this time we weren't around. We had an event to go and had to leave very early in the morning. It was great that we found a dog care taker that we can depend so that their regular schedule is not disrupted as much . She was very communicative through rover . She took pictures and wrote up short summaries . We have one dog that is super timid and likes to hide when new people coming into the house (8yr old aussie mix) and a 3yr border collie that's is a lovable high energy pup . She did wonderful with both. We appreciate your services Emily !”

“Thank you Amy and Scott for a great first visit with Leo! I was very worried about how Leo would do but Amy and Scott made the visit very easy and stresa free! Leo enjoyed his walk and was very comfortable with them!”

About: I’ve sat for multiple families and pets and have owned many animals so comfortable with all. Even other pets like birds, turtles, lizards basically any. Treat animals like my own and frankly treat them more like kids considering single and child free lol. Past clients say the animals miss me now look around for me and look when they say my name I still stay in touch and visit sometimes. I work at a doggy daycare/dog and cat boarding facility Monday through Friday and every other Saturday 7-2. Always around with the animals afternoon and evening time for walk and feeding routine and in am before work. In your home I’ll spend time playing with the pets inside and outside and clean up after them. Willing to help around the house if needed also
“Laura has been great with walking one of my dogs while I am away for work. She has been really attentive to my dog's needs as a shy rescue and offers a lot of encouragement. She has also been great with my other dog who has some health issues as well. I would highly recommend her for caring for your pets!”

“When searching for a dog walker, I was impressed with Donna’s previous reviews on Rover, so we did a meet & greet, and I decided to hire her for Tedy. I am happy to say I made the right decision. She was great with him, and I will definitely use her again”

“Couldn't be more grateful for Rachel's incredible service! She came to the rescue last minute and took my dog for a fantastic walk. Not only was she available on short notice, but she also went above and beyond to ensure my dog had a wonderful time. Highly recommend her to anyone in need of a reliable and caring pet sitter/walker!”

About: I’ve owned dogs. Use to have a pit lab mix that was special needs. Would walk him, play with him daily of course along with his special requirements that was needed for his disability. Currently have 4 cats! And in a vet tech program while working at a pet store, I care for animals daily I currently work for June bug! Another amazing dog walking/pet sitting organization. It is part time so I always have time to look after your fur babies Care for each animal depends on the specific pet because no two animals are exactly alike! About: Hi! My name is Caroline, I am a pet lover, residing in Pawtucket RI! I’d love to help you and your furry friend with dog walks or drop in visits. I’ve worked with all different kinds of dogs, sizes and ages, and have had experience doing drop in visits for cats. I have a 4 year old yellow lab who keeps me active and on my toes - so I’m used to dogs that pull and dogs that need to get their energy out. I currently have open availability for my schedule so happy to chat about what times you need me to visit with your pet! I am super flexible. My biggest concern is making sure your dog is comfortable and safe in the environment they are in. I will always ensure that they are well taken care of and that their environment is just right.
“Marie and her husband were wonderful! Great communication throughout. My dog is 84 pounds and young so he does pull on walks at the beginning. They handled him amazingly. Got him some exercise when I cant right now. Even recharged his night light. I would absolutely book Marie again”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
