“Laura has been great with walking one of my dogs while I am away for work. She has been really attentive to my dog's needs as a shy rescue and offers a lot of encouragement. She has also been great with my other dog who has some health issues as well. I would highly recommend her for caring for your pets!”

“Emily was fantastic with Kleio!!!! Kleio enjoyed her walks with Emily and already misses her time with Emily. Emily came as scheduled and spent great time with Kleio even adapting the activity level given the warm/humid weather conditions. We will most certainly utilize Emily again in the future and would recommend Emily to others. Kleio's Mom & Dad”

“Couldn't be more grateful for Rachel's incredible service! She came to the rescue last minute and took my dog for a fantastic walk. Not only was she available on short notice, but she also went above and beyond to ensure my dog had a wonderful time. Highly recommend her to anyone in need of a reliable and caring pet sitter/walker!”

“She was excellent with Leo! Went above and beyond and made sure the little bean was well taken care of. I had peace of mind knowing he was in good hands while I’m caring for patients 🥰”

“Marie and her husband were wonderful! Great communication throughout. My dog is 84 pounds and young so he does pull on walks at the beginning. They handled him amazingly. Got him some exercise when I cant right now. Even recharged his night light. I would absolutely book Marie again”

“Abby is great! She’s helped me out a lot on short notice when I needed it and was also available for a longer daycare stay! She always makes sure Sadie has lots of fun and is well taken care of! Will definitely use her services again.”

About: I’ve cared for about 8 dogs in my life. I currently own two and all of them have been like my best friends. I also used to volunteer at a pitbull rescue for a year and a half while serving in the military. I also have a cat and have been cat sitting neighbors cats since I was 10. I am currently going to school at moorpark college working on my psych degree. I’m always free either early in the morning or about mid afternoon and available all Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I’m experienced in giving dogs medication if necessary and familiar with animals who have seizures. Most animals naturally gravitate towards me and have my whole life. I always carry dog treats with me and have so much love for all animals.

“Susan goes about and beyond! I don’t know what I would do w/o her and my Bentley loves her. She cares for him as if Her as if he were her own dog. I’m so glad we found her.:).”

About: Hi! I have 2 cats of my own & they are truly my little babies. I love animals of all kinds and I would love to help others take care of theirs! I’m available to feed, walk, bathe, etc, whatever you need. I’m happy to help! I make my own schedule so my schedule is extremely flexible! Im able to do mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends; basically whenever you might need me Both of my cats are indoor and I have had one of them since he was 8 weeks old! He’s now 5 and my other cat is almost 6. I don’t think it would be possible for me to have other pets staying at my house because they are full of anxiety (lol) but I’m more than happy to travel!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
