About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and grew up with my first dog, a Pit Bull and Chocolate Lab mix, who was with me from birth until I was 16. I helped care for her throughout her life and developed a really special bond with her. I also have a new dog who is mostly Pit Bull, and I take care of him regularly. I’ve also cared for friends dogs and currently walk a Golden Retriever multiple times a week throughout the summer. I’m comfortable with different personalities and love building a genuine connection with every dog I meet. I’m currently a student but have a pretty flexible schedule where I have much free time during the week and full availability on the weekends. I want every pet to feel safe and comfortable while they’re in my care. I follow each owner’s instructions and keep their normal routine as much as possible. I’m very attentive and make sure pets get the care, attention and love they need. I also treat every client’s home with the same respect I would want for my own.
“Marie and her husband were wonderful! Great communication throughout. My dog is 84 pounds and young so he does pull on walks at the beginning. They handled him amazingly. Got him some exercise when I cant right now. Even recharged his night light. I would absolutely book Marie again”

“I highly recommend Steph, she has been wonderful with my two pups - one is a grumpy bulldog and the other is a crazy black lab, so I know she can handle double dogs of different speeds which is great! She’s also really sweet with the dogs, super friendly and easy to talk to, and very flexible with bookings.”

About: Hi my name is Neriah and I'm a second year college student at CCRI. I've had dogs ever since I was 6. I currently have one dog named Apollo. I also have 3 cats. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have pet sat for a family friend who has three dogs. During that time, I was responsible for feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and making sure they felt comfortable and safe while their owner was away. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I make it a priority to follow owners' instructions carefully. I am dependable, patient, and committed to providing pets with the attention, care, and affection they deserve. Whether your pet enjoys active playtime or simply needs companionship, I will treat them as if they were my own. Experience Includes: Daily feeding and fresh water Walks and exercise Potty breaks Playtime and companionship Caring for multiple pets at once Following specific schedules and routines Monitoring pets for safety and well-being Providing updates to owners I currently work part-time Saturday through Monday, which gives me plenty of availability during the week to care for your pets. I am available for drop-in visits, walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship throughout the day on weekdays. On workdays, I can stop by before my shift in the morning and again after work in the evening to make sure your pets are well cared for and comfortable. I am committed to following your pet's routine and providing reliable, attentive care so you can have peace of mind while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow the care instructions provided by pet owners, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, medications (if needed), and any special requirements. I take the time to learn each pet's personality and needs so they can feel comfortable and secure while you're away. When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect both the pet's routine and the owner's home. I make sure pets have fresh water, a clean environment, plenty of attention, and appropriate exercise and playtime. I also keep doors and gates secure and monitor pets closely during walks and outdoor time. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet in someone else's care. I am reliable, attentive, and committed to providing updates and communication so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.
About: Since 2016, I’d eagerly come home each day looking forward to taking my dog, Teddy, on long walks outside. That passion led me to create my own dog treat business, driven by my desire to share that love and care with other dogs. It is so rewarding knowing I can contribute to the happiness and health of dogs one walk at a time. I am currently very free during the hot summer months while taking care of my dog, Teddy. I have a lot of extra free time for any last minute walks! My home is a very calm environment with no kids and one other dog. There is a lot of space outside and many friendly dogs in the neighborhood. I am very attentive to whatever it is the dog may need, (walks, play-time, or love!) as well as being educated on dog behavior.
About: I’m a former CNA who was known for being caring, attentive, and dependable. Helping others has always been a part of who I am, and now I’m bringing that same energy to something I’ve loved my whole life—working with animals. This isn’t just a side job for me—it’s the beginning of my own pet care business and a step toward my dream of becoming a veterinarian. I take pride in creating a safe, loving environment where dogs feel at home. Every pup I care for is treated like family, because this work truly matters to me. I also have two dogs of my own who prefer their own space, so they’re kept in a completely separate area of the home during guest stays. Visiting dogs have their own comfortable space to relax, play, and get plenty of one-on-one attention—without ever interacting with my personal dogs. Safety, comfort, and peace of mind are always my top priorities. Pet care is the heart of my daily routine. I’m home full-time, so my days revolve around the dogs in my care—making sure they feel safe, loved, and entertained. From morning potty breaks and playtime to cozy evenings and routine check-ins, I structure my day around their needs. This isn’t just part of my week—it is my week, and I love every minute of it. When pets stay in my home, they’re treated like part of the family. I provide a calm, clean, and loving environment where they can relax, play, and feel safe. I follow their usual routines as closely as possible—whether that means feeding schedules, walks, or cuddle time. I keep things low-stress and personal, always making sure they feel comfortable and cared for every step of the way. Each fur baby will be leashed for walks, potty breaks, and can be crated if the owner is okay with that and only if necessary. I prefer the dogs in my care to have space to roam.
About: Growing up I always had a dog or two. I had worked at a dog daycare facility professionally for 8 years. During my time there, I've taken care of various puppies to their adulthood and senior dogs. Since the facility is cage-free, I dedicate myself to ensuring the dogs have fun, are safe, and love in our care. Currently, I have two medium and large dogs who constantly love to play, whether it is water play in the backyard, going on walks, frisbee or just relaxing in our backyard! I'm currently a nursing student on and a part time barista. I only work part-time for a few hours a day, usually morning until noon time, so your pet will receive lots of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship throughout their stay. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. My two dogs are very friendly and social with other dogs. I have a two-level yard, a six-foot fence all around the yard, and a door your pups can easily access to potty or play. I can also provide in-house food unless your pups have allergies and need to improvise. My house is cage free but if you’d like your pet to be crate I can improvise that.
“Abby is great! She’s helped me out a lot on short notice when I needed it and was also available for a longer daycare stay! She always makes sure Sadie has lots of fun and is well taken care of! Will definitely use her services again.”

About: Ive been taking care of my own pets as long as Ive been able, and began pet sitting, house sitting, and dog walking for others in high school during 2022. I have experience with cats and dogs of varying ages (puppies/kittens-elderly pets) and needs (illnesses and disabilities), as well as more exotic pets like lizards, birds, rodents, and aquatic animals like fish, turtles, and axolotls. I’ve administered medications for dogs, but do not have experience with needles. I’ve spent up to a week taking care of several animals at a time, as well as short periods like nights and checking in daily. I will do all I can to provide your pet and home with the care they need! I’m currently in college, but primarily online, so my school schedule is flexible with your needs! I am not working outside of pet care so I am not tied down to other responsibilities and provide the time needed to care for your pets. I’ve lived with pets my whole life, so I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs. When caring for pets in their own home, I’ll follow their usual schedule as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, and lots of attention. I’m comfortable paying attention to a pet’s behavior and making sure they’re safe, comfortable, and secure. I’ll also treat your home with respect, double-check doors and gates, and follow any specific instructions you leave. I’m happy to send photos and updates so you can relax knowing your pets are being well cared for while you’re away.
About: As a child I grew up with two dogs and a cat. I am a true people person as well as an animal lover! I have taken care of family, friends, and neighbors pets while they are away. I have fostered dogs in the past and currently have two cats at home! I am currently working as a registered nurse so my schedule is very flexible throughout the week and weekends. I work 3 12 hour shifts per week. I'm willing to help out when I can and work around my schedule. I assist with feeding and companionship with both animals in my home and the services I offer. I often do care in the clients home while away on vacation but would also be willing to come over for just a walk or a little play time.
“Chantelle has been such a wonderful dog walker for my pup. She is a good communicator and very reliable- she’s even been able to be flexible if my schedule has changed, which is amazing! I highly recommend her if you’re looking for someone kind to walk your pup.”

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
