“Booked Braelyn for the first time for a 60 min Dog walk. Great communicator, responsive and on time. My dog took yo her right away- she was great. Using her a few more times this week and would definitely book her in the future.”

About: Since 2016, I’d eagerly come home each day looking forward to taking my dog, Teddy, on long walks outside. That passion led me to create my own dog treat business, driven by my desire to share that love and care with other dogs. It is so rewarding knowing I can contribute to the happiness and health of dogs one walk at a time. I am currently very free during the hot summer months while taking care of my dog, Teddy. I have a lot of extra free time for any last minute walks! My home is a very calm environment with no kids and one other dog. There is a lot of space outside and many friendly dogs in the neighborhood. I am very attentive to whatever it is the dog may need, (walks, play-time, or love!) as well as being educated on dog behavior.
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and grew up with my first dog, a Pit Bull and Chocolate Lab mix, who was with me from birth until I was 16. I helped care for her throughout her life and developed a really special bond with her. I also have a new dog who is mostly Pit Bull, and I take care of him regularly. I’ve also cared for friends dogs and currently walk a Golden Retriever multiple times a week throughout the summer. I’m comfortable with different personalities and love building a genuine connection with every dog I meet. I’m currently a student but have a pretty flexible schedule where I have much free time during the week and full availability on the weekends. I want every pet to feel safe and comfortable while they’re in my care. I follow each owner’s instructions and keep their normal routine as much as possible. I’m very attentive and make sure pets get the care, attention and love they need. I also treat every client’s home with the same respect I would want for my own.

“Marie and her husband were wonderful! Great communication throughout. My dog is 84 pounds and young so he does pull on walks at the beginning. They handled him amazingly. Got him some exercise when I cant right now. Even recharged his night light. I would absolutely book Marie again”

“Cassandra is a wonderful person and so happy we found her! We have an 18yo dog who’s essentially deaf and blind and last minute Cassandra agreed to help us, not once but twice. She took exceptional care of him and was a pleasure working with.”

About: Hi! I’m an animal lover who has had a passion for pets for as long as I can remember. My first dog, Rex, a Doberman, taught me just how much love, patience, and responsibility go into caring for an animal. While taking care of pets isn’t always easy, I truly believe every moment is worth it. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I treat each one with the same care and attention I would give my own. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply keeping them company, my goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust someone with a member of your family, and I’d be honored to provide reliable, compassionate care for your furry friend. Yes! I currently am in college for nursing, and I also work at a bagel shop so this would be something I would attend after or before attending those priorities! A fenced yard is definitely helpful and in others homes I will respectful there home and do anything needed to make sure there pet is safe.
“I highly recommend Steph, she has been wonderful with my two pups - one is a grumpy bulldog and the other is a crazy black lab, so I know she can handle double dogs of different speeds which is great! She’s also really sweet with the dogs, super friendly and easy to talk to, and very flexible with bookings.”

About: I have had a love for dogs ever since I was a child. My family got our first when I was 5 and since then we have had three others that we have adopted as well. With those dogs obviously came a lot of taking care of them, as well as playing with them. Along with my own dogs, I have also volunteered/worked at an animal shelter for around 2 years, where I would take the dogs out each day, give them food and water, and play with them until they hopefully found a forever home. While working at the shelter, I also fell in love with some of the dogs so I fostered around 25 of the dogs during my time at the shelter until they found a family. I am currently just working here and there for my dad while I am home for the summer, so I am available to take in your dog whenever. I have no set schedule with any other work, so whenever I’m needed, I will be there. I have a very large backyard for your dog to run around in, and two extremely friendly dogs who would love to meet new friends. I also am very used to crating dogs because of working at the shelter so if that is what your dog needs then consider it done.
About: Hi, I'm James. For years, friends and neighbors have relied on me to take care of their pets, from periodic socialization to regular walks and feedings. I strive to ensure that your pet has the best possible experience. I currently work part-time, so my schedule is both flexible and varies week-to-week. I will make sure to communicate clearly around scheduling needs to ensure that your pet is cared for in a timely manner. I am a friendly and nurturing animal-lover. I am very patient and use a lot of positive reinforcement with dogs. With cats, I believe autonomy and a slow, gentle approach are key to earning their trust.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
