“Emily had no problems getting in and out of the house with our key pad . She was able to get the dogs leashed and on their walk . I have one dog that's 8yrs old and super timid . She usually runs and hides when new people try to leash or pet her. One of my dogs uses a regular leash and the other a gentle lead. It's great to see everything worked out for their first 30 mins walk with Emily . Lookinv foward to their next walk !”

“Thanks for the awesome service and care to my two big dogs throughout 3 days that I was away. First time leaving my dogs at home verses boarding, and thanks to your communication and commitment it was perfect!”

“Cassandra is great! She is very reliable and has built a fantastic relationship with Maizy in a short amount of time (just a few walks). Maizy excitedly awaits her arrival every morning and goes nuts when she sees Cassandra's vehicle pull up.”

About: I’ve cared for about 8 dogs in my life. I currently own two and all of them have been like my best friends. I also used to volunteer at a pitbull rescue for a year and a half while serving in the military. I also have a cat and have been cat sitting neighbors cats since I was 10. I am currently going to school at moorpark college working on my psych degree. I’m always free either early in the morning or about mid afternoon and available all Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I’m experienced in giving dogs medication if necessary and familiar with animals who have seizures. Most animals naturally gravitate towards me and have my whole life. I always carry dog treats with me and have so much love for all animals.
About: I’ve always had a place in my heart for animals! I have been volunteering at shelters for over 3 years, as well as recent experience as a vet assistant! I’m not just here to feed and walk, I build trust with your pet! I take the time to approach each animal with patience, and adapt to their comfort and energy level. Whether it’s a high energy puppy or a timid cat, I tune in and make sure their needs are met! I currently work part time so my schedule is fairly flexible! However my bookings do fill up so scheduling ahead of time is your best bet for availability! I accept bookings as early as 6am and as late as 9pm. Trust is everything! To build a trusting relationship I’m communicative, reliable, and happy to provide updates and photos during each visit so you can feel connected and confident while you’re away. Whether it’s a quick drop in or a longer stay, I am always tidy, respectful, and focused on creating a calm, happy environment for your pet!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
