“Devorat is an absolute dream. She is truly the pet-parent that you want if you have to be away from your own pet. My dog Mookie stayed with Devorat for 5 days and nights on very short notice. She messaged frequently in the first 24 hours to keep us updated on how Mookie was settling in, and sent plenty of photos during the entire stay. We could tell from the photos that he was clearly comfortable in his home-away-from-home. He and Toby were great playmates in the fenced-in backyard, and he Devorat were fast friends, with plenty of couch cuddle-time. Knowing Mookie was well cared for really helped us enjoy our family trip. In addition to her care and attention to Mookie, Devorat also offered accommodation and flexibility in the drop-off and pick-up scheduling to make things as easy as possible for us as we nailed down our travel plans at the last minute. I really appreciated her communication throughout the visit, and I could tell from her updates that she was really taking time to get to know our dog, and that he was in the best possible hands. About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

About: I have been volunteering with animal rescues since I was in high school along with dogwalking in my hometown. I have spent the past three years in college volunteering with the local animal shelter walking their dogs to relieve them of time in the shelter. About: I’ve had a dog of my own for a while and also have taken care of my neighbors pets for long periods of time! From walks, baths, feeding and playtime, I’m experienced in taking care and having fun with dogs of all ages. My dog in particular was a senior and she dealt with arthritis and liver disease, which would limit her ability to do certain things like long walks and going upstairs, or even eating. I do have the experience of taking care of senior dogs that may need this special treatment. I also walked King (pictured) as a volunteer for PAWS NY. “Devorat is an absolute dream. She is truly the pet-parent that you want if you have to be away from your own pet. My dog Mookie stayed with Devorat for 5 days and nights on very short notice. She messaged frequently in the first 24 hours to keep us updated on how Mookie was settling in, and sent plenty of photos during the entire stay. We could tell from the photos that he was clearly comfortable in his home-away-from-home. He and Toby were great playmates in the fenced-in backyard, and he Devorat were fast friends, with plenty of couch cuddle-time. Knowing Mookie was well cared for really helped us enjoy our family trip. In addition to her care and attention to Mookie, Devorat also offered accommodation and flexibility in the drop-off and pick-up scheduling to make things as easy as possible for us as we nailed down our travel plans at the last minute. I really appreciated her communication throughout the visit, and I could tell from her updates that she was really taking time to get to know our dog, and that he was in the best possible hands. We already plan to book with Devorat again soon!”
