“Audrey was great right from the meet and greet and on! Millie, who is usually very timid, warmed up to her in seconds. Audrey was a great support walking my dog while a family member who can no longer walk her far watched her. She was extremely punctual and great with communicating all aspects of their walks. Highly recommend.”

“Amber is very friendly and follows direction. She sends updates and pictures from her walks and refills Diesel’s “busy ball” with treats before she leaves him, which I’m sure he appreciates. She is our go-to for walks and we will continue to use her as long as she is available!”

“We’ve been having Hunter take care of our Hank sporadically for the past few weeks. SHE IS THE BEST!! Great communication, super punctual, takes amazing care of Hank, and he loves her (clearly shown by the amazing pictures she sends me). HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING HUNTER! She’s easily the best!!”

“Candi has been such a blessing to our family. She communicates before and after each walk, sends multiple pictures, and is very kind and reliable. She was open to helping train our 1yr old rescue dog and provides much feedback regarding their progress. We are comfortable with Candi driving our dog to the local walking trail since our neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks. Candi is an asset to Rover and I know our pup agrees.”

“Dan was great, my dogs loved there walks, Dan tired them out. I always say trust your dog, so when mine liked him so much I felt comfortable and secure about having him walk my dogs. I highly recommend him to anyone.”

“Sheridyn was so helpful with a last minute request when our regular walker couldn't make it. She was able to flex with our plans and sent lots of pictures and notes. Will definitely book with her again!”

“Britney is the best! I am so happy we chose her to walk Ford. She is always transparent and goes above and beyond to make sure we’re kept in the loop! It never feels good to leave your pup at home to go to work, but we are so grateful that Britney could get Ford out and moving, and he loves her!! She genuinely cares, I would recommend her 100x over! 🤗”

About: I’ve always loved animals, especially dogs! I’m passionate about the human animal bond and have experienced it first hand caring for friend and family pets over the years! With my vet assistant certification, experience caring for dogs at the Potter League dog shelter and a strong working knowledge of dog behavior, I’m ready to help take care of your dog too! My work schedule allows for flexibility, as I’m not typically working on most Fridays and Saturdays and Sunday afternoon or evenings. I do not work from home so a couple of days notice is helpful for me! Pets are not allowed on-site in my home of on the grounds. Any care needed would be provided at a clients home or off site.
About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life and truly love having them around. I do tend to spoil them, but I always follow the instructions you, the parent, provide. I have had senior dogs and puppies and always give them the extra care they need. We are a retired couple and always enjoy having a dog around us. We have plenty of time to play with pups, and give them lots of love. We have a fenced in backyard to play in, comfortable beds to sleep in. We won’t be taken in other family's dogs while yours is here.
About: I've always had dog(s) and cat(s) around me since I was a little girl. I've seen all types of dogs and cats, hyper cats, lazy dogs, and both that think that they're just another human on the couch. In my experience in dealing with all these personalities I've noticed one trait that is essential in animal -care, patience. Patience is something that is key when dealing with any animal or even any person. A little bit about me... I just moved to North Carolina with my family. I am eager to start college again, along with pet sitting and house cleaning. I enjoy spending time with my four cats in my down time. Animals are my favorite type of people to be around. I say they are people because they are some of the most compassionate beings on earth. I currently go to school online. So, I will have ample amount of time for your fur baby. I can easily adapt to their schedule and needs. I have an acre of land that is not currently fenced. My home consists of four cats, two sons, myself and my husband. I can happily provide drop-in care in the evenings unless I have daytime availability open in my schedule. On the weekends I have more daytime availability. Caring for your cat or dog is something I look forward to. I love when you are able to provide ample amount of information and communication. And no, I don’t think you’re being crazy about the furry member of your family. 😊
About: Hi, I’m Sam! I’m 31 and have 1 cat. Smoke and drug free. I’ve had many other pets of varying species (if you need someone to take care of and love your exotics or small animals i can do that also!) I look forward to meeting you and taking care of your babies! Currently have a full-time job in Pawtucket. I work 9:30-6 but am available before and after that. Tuesdays and Sundays always off. If you’re close enough to my job I can swing by during my lunch break. I am able to walk around my property and neighborhood with a leash. I have a one floor house that we own. I have an indoor outdoor cat who is very friendly. No smoke, no drug, no alcohol home. I have my own transportation. I have had to administer insulin to my own cat along with pills and liquid medication so i’m comfortable with medications.
“I was in need of last minute care for Rocky and I sent a request out to a bunch of people. Amanda responded immediately and was willing to help! She made sure she understood the care instructions I provided and took him on a great walk, and most importantly he loved her. I’ll definitely be using Amanda again after the holidays.”

“Alexandria is great with my dog, Teddy. She walked him often this summer and was flexible with my changing work schedule. The neighbor even told me that he was much better behaved with her than with me. She was really good about listening to him when he was nervous or too hot and taking him back home to be comfortable.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets for as long as I can remember whether it was my family dog when I was little or pet sitting/ walking for my family, friends, and neighbors. I am good at being aware of my surroundings and keeping up with different levels of activity for each pet. Pet care is perfect for me because I will be out of school all summer and I will be free all day almost every day of the week!! I am a safe walker as I am aware of my environment, always bring extra water for me and the pups, and I am good at redirecting pets when they try to get into something they shouldn’t or try to go somewhere dangerous such as into traffic etc.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
