About: I’ve been around pets since childhood - having 2 cats, hamsters, birds and fish. I am a dog mom to a 15 year old beagle and 12 year old pittie mix both of who I adopted when they were 3 years and the other 9 months old. I walked and was also a house visitor for neighbors dogs all throughout middle school. Wherever I was there was a high possibility I was hanging out with someone’s dog. I work a Monday to Friday position but would love to spend my off hours from the office position doing house check ins and or walks for your pets. About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

About: I’ve taken care of pets for as long as I can remember whether it was my family dog when I was little or pet sitting/ walking for my family, friends, and neighbors. I am good at being aware of my surroundings and keeping up with different levels of activity for each pet. Pet care is perfect for me because I will be out of school all summer and I will be free all day almost every day of the week!! I am a safe walker as I am aware of my environment, always bring extra water for me and the pups, and I am good at redirecting pets when they try to get into something they shouldn’t or try to go somewhere dangerous such as into traffic etc.

It is more focused on providing weekend support and occasional weekdays during the school breaks.
