About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets and I make sure to treat every animal as my own. I currently work part-time, which allows me the flexibility to offer frequent walks and attentive pet care. Being from Vermont, staying active and enjoying the outdoors is a daily priority for me, so your pets will always enjoy plenty of exercise and outdoor time. I’m primarily available for morning and afternoon walks, seven days a week. I miss my dogs and want a canine companion on my daily runs/walks! “Erica was a godsend. We took in a foster in Feb and ended up adopting her. Unlike my other two dogs, the new pup hates being crated and has separation anxiety. We had a prescheduled trip planned for April and the new pup was too much for our house sitter to handle since he’d be coming and going. We were able to do a meet and greet with Erica where she assured me she’d have no problem watching the pup. Things worked out well and she will be my go to the next time we get away.”

“Jenna and Michael were wonderful. We are also sitters on Rover and probably have higher than average standards for our babygirl Sadie (~60 lb rescue). We first did a meet and greet and from the moment we meant them we knew they were good people. We had already meet four other sitters at this point and were starting to feel hopeless. Jenna and Michael were warm, and lovely from the start. Their home is spacious, their yard is BIG, and their own pup, Chase is adorable! Sadie got lots of exercise playing with Chase and going on walks. I was worried that Sadie would taunt their chickens the entire time (which she probably did) but they handled it with evident experience around this challenge. We would happily book with them again. Even though we had to drive 45 minutes to them, it was 100% worth it. Thank you, Jenna, Michael, and Chase.”
